I noticed there was 3 AE86s on the car ranking. Levin GT-APEX (Akiyama), Trueno 2 door GT-APEX(Takumi), so who drives the other Trueno GT-APEX? There is also 2 FD3S so I assume Keisuke drives the FD3S and Kyoko drives the FD3S6? Which one of the Trueno's have the engine that goes up to 11K rpm?

Inui Shinji.
He is a character from Final Stage Anime, and the last volumes of manga.

Both Kyoko and Keisuke drives the FD3S RX7 Type R. The Type RS FD3S6 have no driver.

150 ejects. You can check under the records section of Initial D Factory, the same place all your Time Attack records are stored.

The key word there is "eject". Every time you play at least one game and eject the card, it would be reduced by one.

For example:

If you play one race and then stop and eject the card, it would be reduced by one.
If you play five races in a row and then stop and eject the card, it would be reduced by one.

Because of this, it is always preferable to combine your games/races than play it separately. The card will erode slower this way. Going into Initial D Factory without inserting any credits/play races will not consume an eject.

However, if you're playing on an offline machine, the eject count will stop reducing once the "ejects left" is around 10 or so. So if you're arcade is always offline, you shouldn't have to worry about the number of ejects at all. At least, that's how it worked for the last few versions anyways unless they changed it in D8 for some reason.

Just a renew, of course.

I'm pretty sure it's the number on the top left right next to the mileage. This is from the "green Records" menu that is accessible in Initial D Factory.

Again, if you never go play at an online machine period, you shouldn't have to worry about the card expiring at all. When it reaches around 10 ejects, the game would stop deducting your "ejects" if you are playing on an offline machine.

In this regard, your location is important in regards to how relevant all this is. Your profile says you're from the USA, which to my knowledge have no online machines at this time so your card will never expire. It would start at 150 ejects, then go down to 10 ejects as your play, then just stay there.

Yeah I was gonna say, I've played over 150 ejects already and I've never had to renew. Then again I'm on an offline machine.

Yea sucks to be in the USA cuz it takes so long to get those points as we can't complete any of the challenges. Can we still FT a car even if we're playing on an offline machine? Do dress-up parts (rims, aero kit) affect performance or is it just for looks?

We can absolutely still FT a car and run competitive world times. I've got two or 3 top ten model times with the R34 already, we just can't register them. Best we can do is make videos :/

From what I can tell, aero is purely for looks.

Another note, once you have one FT car, FTing future cars will go quicker. If you're just doing time attacks, you still gain 600+ points ever time, and with enough you can just buy a new car and have it instantly FTed.

Yep. The first FT was painful. The 2nd and 3rd is so easy, I didn't even realize I have enough points already. Then I bought a car and instantly FTed.

I'm just gonna ask this now since it's going to be another week before I have time to go play some more. I already completed the first two story segments (speed stars and night kids). If I added another car to my factory, can I replay the first 2 story segments for 600pts each race or will I get reduced points since I already done them? Will get more points the further I get going into the story or will it always be 600pts per win/TA?
Sorry don't want to keep asking noob questions, just trying to get back into ID after taking a long 5 year hiatus since I'm no long a college student with free time.

Yeah, try doing it a few times in a few cards. Haha, the first FT is always the hardest, then second and third feel super easy! That feeling when your first car on the card is FT-ed.......priceless.

Don't bother redoing story mode stages with a new car. Just focus on getting one car FTd first. The only reason to go back to story mode is if you want to improve your clear status on past stages. But this is still recommended to do with a car that's already tuned. There's only one completion log for story mode per card, so there's no point in redoing it with a new car.

Basically, gain points with your tuned car, spend them on your new car, until it's tuned, then rinse and repeat how ever you'd like.

The civics are pretty useless except for Happo, but if that's your liking, then go for it. I always encourage people to stick with a car they like rather than a car that's good, but I figure fair warning is in order too.

Yea I use to have a DC2 with 5mil pts lol. Can you do a team battle vs the AI on an offline machine? What rewards do you get for completing the top tier requirements for a story mission?

Yes you can tag offline in D8.......I think. At least with the updated version you can.

As for mission rewards, I'm not sure you can complete that without online battles. Just for info's sake, the first two line Level 1 missions give you 18,000 points in total. Anything other lines after that just gives you new tachometers for your race UI I believe.

I don't mean those missions, I meant the LOTS missions like the first race with Itsuki top tier condition beat him by 40m/100m, does it give the 500 points twice if you do it twice?

Hey civics aren't that bad are they, I mean back in 3 they were only good in Happo but they were ok everywhere else.
