Hi, I'm new here and need info on some Initial D DVDs.

My brother who lives in Japan asked me to buy him some Initial D DVDs for Christmas, but I live in Texas. rolleyes.gif I did a quick search on Google and came up with a few ID sites and only one place to buy the movies (something like anime-dvd.com). During my searching, I checked out Amazon.com to see if any of these were domestically licensed, but it looks like they're not.

My questions to y'all are: Are these fan-made DVD's? If so, what is the quality like? Where's the best place to buy the best copies? I saw that there were box-sets available at the one shop I found them on.. is $35 a good price?

Please help!

i personally hate bootlegs. I'm sure every1 agrees. Translations are bad. I bought Initial D Battle Stage but the translation sucks. For example when Takumi is tailgating Keisuke the translation states that Keisuke said that he was passed. Abit strange because every1 knows that's supposed to be caught. I don't know who made the translations but his english sucks smile.gif Also some names are incorrect meaning that it's Ryosuke instead of Lyosuke
