Give Takumi a car with sufficient bhp and he'll make minces even out of Schumie himself~! I think of Takumi as the next Ayrton Senna... he basically thinks he has a god-given right to win. And rightfully so... why? Because he's a street king, the master of the asphalt fight. And even though his ethics as a driver are quite noble, ie. he doesn't even bump... at heart he's an unrefined beast that would trample his own father under all four rubbers if the race was at stake. Keisuke grew up under Ryosuke's wing. He's a classically trained driver, hence his inability to do simple yet outlandish moves like the AE86 blind-attack. Where Keisuke gets his ace to think outside of the box, lies within his hotblooded temper boiling under his skin. That's the key to get him into thinking like Fujiwara, and ultimately break out of his conventional thought process to strike his opponents like a hawk~ |

All the dude does throughout the series is concede that he doesn't think he deserved to win, nor that he's faster than anybody. The first time he ever expressed a desire to win for the sake of winning (not for gas) was to even the score with Sudoh in Third Stage. |

That seemed to be more about "the car is actually good" than, "I could win this".

Well, he explicitly says "I've never wanted to win this badly." But maybe.

What about the Shingo race? Didn't he express his desire to win after Shingo pulled a few dirty tricks? Like he says something along the lines of not wanting to lose to Shingo. This post has been edited by BOZZ on Jan 21 2016, 02:17 PM

IDW Expert Member Group: Members Posts: 129 Member No.: 46,063 Joined: Nov 19th 2015 Location: manilaPhilippines | I have this feeling that if they fight the Pro's such as Tomo in a race circuit . I think Takumi and Keisuke may loose. in the 4th stage, The reason why Ryoske chose takumi to race Tomo is that Tomo is a very good Pro. and Keisuke's driving technic is similar to that of a pro so if they battle it out, Keisuke might loose, he choose takumi because takumi is a a born and bred street specialist . now that the mountain road set up is thrown out of the window in exchange of a closed circuit, Takumi's advantage is gone. Keisuke's style will be compared to other Veteran pro's so their chances are slim . This is what I think |

Started out saying meh to the Todo Juku Pops, and ended up having lots of fun technially messing around with Tak~ Granted Takumi had some sort of progression himself; but he's as exciting as snails riding a slow-mo machine. |

...and I just learned what the word rands is. Kind of like dank, either that's super kiwi~speak or xiao is the most out of the loop person on the internet? Here's a dank rands xiao doing pull ups like Solid Mogi to level up his wig-colour: Image size reduced, original size: 2048 x 1158. Click here to view the image in its original dimension. On-topic: Bunta = Rands like Macho-man Randy Savage!

That's why he got the nickname Touch for the English release of Arcade Stage. Did anyone notice they changed his voice actor for his appearance in Fifth/Final Stage?

Oh man, I really gotta get around to playing IDAS more often... my secret shame as an Initial D fan, is that in my entire life, I've only played the Initial D arcade no more than six times... IDAS 3 though. Touches his nose, touches other peoples' cars, touches animals crossing the road in the middle of a race, touches Kyoko's butt... (that was in the Final Stage BD Extras that never made it to home video) XD Anyone remember the Funimation foo-pah where Daiki calls Tomo father...
I wish Funi would release 5th and Final with the same lack of care they had for Fourth Stage... Shinigami Rin would probably have a super low pitch Barry White voice, which would totally make me spray soda all over my screen everytime I'd watch it~ This post has been edited by xiao on Jan 23 2016, 12:18 AM

The fact that you played IDAS Ver. 3 as the only IDAS makes up for the experience. To be honest, Takumi is prettymuch a dick. Being all emo just for driving an AWD the first time. FFS. If Keisuke becomes gets the podium frequent after becoming pro he deserves it. Takumi can go and do his D1 or whatever.

LOL. Don't even. I may be a lot more humble than I was, but I'm also a realist. When I say I'm not fast, it's because I'm actually not that fast.
