After i watched the Takumi VS Inui final battle message, it will make me get serious bored waiting 5 6 years to watch new episodes again! Also, i can't watching the final challenge for Bunta VS Takumi impression, when manga after must show up new story from japan anime/manga world! |

Like an eagle! Group: SITE OWNER Posts: 8,014 Member No.: 1 Joined: Sep 15th 2002 Location: San Leandro, California | Some updates on the fansubs.. REDSUNS42 came forward to help me out with the subbing process as I was taking awhile. I am actually not doing so well physically, might be sick I don't know. I tried to work late and I just couldn't. So the subs might be a little later than usual this time around. I don't have an ETA for 13, but the current progress is at 50% for Ep.13 translation wise, timing is all done, karaoke is all done, typesetting all done by REDSUNS42. Just needed to complete the other half translation and improve its accuracy. Knowing there are no more episodes after this though, I probably shouldn't rush this one. Hope I have your understanding. With that said, I am going to get some rest. This post has been edited by Perry on May 17 2013, 05:06 PM |

The way I saw it, it was going to attempt a similar pace to Second Stage, but there was far more content to cram in and I was hoping for a similar end much like the race between Takumi and Wataru, whereby Takumi was learning something new once again. But that's not been the case. I'm going to jump on the Movie/OVA bandwagon, purely because, as much as I think they could just put a delay on bringing out more episodes to add to Fifth Stage, it could be a while before the race between Takumi and Shinji comes to an end in the manga. Also, the final message at the end of episode 14 would seem really out of place in a complete season. I just hope there are some significant developments in the manga over the coming year to have enough content to make for a worthwhile film production. At a guess, I would say it will be the end of 2014 at the earliest before we see a conclusion. In any case, Takumi and Shinji's race has been animated more than we have seen, if any of the preview pictures are anything to go by. This post has been edited by Jezza_HR on May 12 2013, 08:28 AM |

He's done so much, we don't want him to end up like the first 86 engine. Waiting a bit more for the episodes isn't a big deal. Some of the manga I'm following, I have to wait a month between chapters. Worst thing is that the group doing that manga also scanlates 10-15 other manga. So seeing them release all those other chapters from other mangas except the ONE manga I follow, I'm kinda jealous That's why I love groups like here, that are 100% dedicated to 1 manga/anime. Real life delays are always understandable. But when they do work, it's 100% focused on the story they love, they are the most passionate fans. |

I really hope they will show Bunta compete in a full race. I always hoped for a Bunta vs God Arm saga. Or even Bunta vs both God Foot and God Arm. That would be a really pumped race. As for the Takumi VS Shinji race, somehow I knew that it was impossible to show considering that they had to show the Hojo VS KT race first. I can wait for this final stage to come, hoping that it will be a bit better than this Fifth Stage with the character design and "detail" as someone mentioned earlier. |

After waiting for so long I feel like it was a big let down to have it end like this. It was fun watching some of the scenes but it just felt so rushed for me. Hopefully we do get something like a Final Stage OVA or something like that then. |

VHS FTW. I think 13-14 yrs have past since those days and im a pro drifter here in miami trying to make a name for my self and next month ill be following my dream with a couple of friends and drifting down some of these mountains and i owe it all to initial d which made me the man who i am now.My japanese friend died in a car accident in 2005 so he is the shinigami. But i am truly happy they brought it back for fifth stage. |

But Perry, take your time, give yourself some cooldown, don't overdo it. No more episodes coming out anyway… I'd like to thank all of Initial D members for this great community. Talking and sharing information (receiving, more than giving, in my case) was very fun, and helpful (and intelectually estimulating). I'm very glad to be part of this great community of initial D lovers, and I believe it's fair to say that Initial D has a very sacred place within all of our hearts. May Initial D be eternal. Then he said he will go to Japan next month and drive on mount Haruna and all the other Initial D touge hot spots. Give the man the benefit of the doubt |

Not sure if trolling or just poor grammar. Easy way to find out would be if you posted your name since you're le pro drifter. We actually do have some of those folk here on the boards so that should be simple enough.

As much as I hate having to feed the guy, he technically wrote that it's been 13-14 years since he was watching Initial D on VHS, not retiring from his supposed 'pro drifter' career.

Look at it this way, even Hulk Hogan's son was a professional drifter, or he tried to be. Of course, that didn't end so well. |
