So Bust out your PS2, pop in that GT3 disc, and lets get going! We are going to run a punishing 9 race semi-endurance series. It is going to consist of mainly JGTC cars, but as we all know, there is some european flavor in there too, so I still need to work that out. We are gonna run on a points system as follows; Points System: 1st = 10pts. 2nd = 8pts. 3rd = 6pts. 4th = 4pts. 5th = 2pts. 6th and below = 1pt. There is also gonna be a manufactors point race going on too. It's gonna Be Honda vs Nissan vs Toyota This point race is gonna be different. The idea is to get the LEAST amount of points. So if a Toyota car finishes in 1st place, Toyota gets 1 point. If a Nissan finishes in 2nd place, Nissan gets 2 points. And so on. Simple no? Cars to be used are; Calsonic Nissan Skyline GT-R Castrol TOM'S Toyota Supra ARTA Honda NSX Denso Sard Toyota Supra Loctite Zexel Nissan Skyline GT-R Castrol Mugen Honda NSX Pennzoil Nissan Skyline GT-R Raybrig Honda NSX Car specs are as follows; At or around 600hp. PM me if your a not sure if your hp is to far over or not. Thats it for car specs Races; Round 1: Laguna Seca enduro - 90 laps Round 2: Grand Valley enduro - 60 laps Round 3: Seattle enduro - 40 laps Round 4: SSR11 enduro - 50 laps Round 5: Grand Valley enduro - 60 laps Round 6: Cote 'd Azur enduro - 78 laps Round 7: Laguna Seca enduro - 90 laps Round 8: Tokyo R246 enduro - 100 laps Round 9: 2 hours in Rome - ??? laps As for driving, you should know that no wall riding, lawn mowing, or playing bumper cars will be happening. Now, I understand that sometimes you go in to a turn to fast and hit the wall, or swap paint with the guy next to you, thats racing. But try not to do it on PURPOSE, would you really do that in a race is what I'm trying to get at. There will also be 'weight' penalties added to your car just like they do in the JGTC. This will be simulated by adding a certain amount of time to each lap. About half way through the series the races should in theory be getting closer and closer. This is the basic lay out is as follows; Finishing Results ------------------------- 1st --------------- 2nd -------------- 3rd --------------- below 4th -------------------- +.500 sec -------- +.300 sec ------- +.200 sec ----------- -.200 sec Qualifying Results ------------------------- 1st --------------- 2nd -------------- 3rd -------------------- +.100 sec -------- +.100 sec ------- +.100 sec Fastest Lap ------------------------- 1st --------------- 2nd -------------- 3rd -------------------- +.100 sec -------- +.100 sec ------- +.100 sec All the weight penalties will carry from race to race, but you can not ever carry more then 1.20secs. After each race you will send me an email with the title " 'XxX' Race Results" where XxX is the race we just did. You will include the following info in the following format; Forum SN Car Used/hp/weight Qualifying lap time total race time/fastest lap/number of times pitted (Just because I'm curious ^__^) Any other comments, like you had a big crash on X lap, or something like that. Also, do NOT calculate the weight penalties, I, and I alone will do that, capice? Also, if you can, take a quick snap shot of the final results screen, just in case. Thanks you's ^__^ This Post will be edited as needed. So stay posted! |

I can understand if you're racing human opponents who are right beside you but come on its just boring. |

Do tell people who are doing marathon running to just do sprints? I mean, it's running, right? Vote me god damnit! >_< |

Group: Members Posts: 82 Member No.: 1,358 Joined: Feb 28th 2004 Location: Update Profile | Well Ill rather waste my time learning how to drive in real life, than in GT3 (not that I dont like the game I spend many many hours(weeks ,propably months) with the game). I drive a lot at Blackhawk Farms raceway in Rockton, I was there couple days ago, there was me 2 Evos and a RX 8, propably will be going again in few days, its a lot of fun, you guys got to try it sometimes. |
