Hey everybody, as you may or may not have heard, there has been a confirmation by Sega of Japan to release Initial D : Special Stage for the PS2 on March 27th, 2003 in Japan. There has been no word if there is going to be one released in the western countries (United States. Canada, and Europe), so I have made a petition to send to both Sega of America and Sega of Japan that I hope you could sign. I have also made a plea for a X-Box version as well, so if you own either console please take a moment to visit this link.

http://www.petitiononline.com/InitialD/petition.html

Any feedback or questions are appreciated and thanks in advance for your support.

Thanks in advance

I went to the Sega.co.jp site and it said Initial D Special Stage is going to be released, June 26th 2003.

sweet deal... no need to mod my ps2... tho i kinda wish ID wasn't becoming so mainstream... it's gettin like DBZ or Gundam... which were really good series till everybody and their mom had the stuff... i can see ID lunchboxes and backpacks now... *sigh* oh well... for the greater good... i guess...

There was an article in GMR magazine that said that tokyopop is negotiating with some publishers for a US release.

Key word, negotiating. I hope that the publishers make a condition that tokyochop MUST keep the original names. that would be great.

sega or tokyopop might just be waiting for the series to hit the selves and see how its accepted. The sad part is that right now with the reviews just about condeming it we'll be lucky if we do see any version.

Question is, what happens if they do the same thing they did to the series and replace the songs with the crap they have in the tricked out version and F*** the storyline (though theres not much that could need changing in the game)?

Could you imagine ID:SS "Tricked out" crying2.gif

If i only had the money i'd just import it.
