Doesn't change the fact that it's still purple. But yeah, we do have issues with people ruining decent Hondas. Everywhere does because the cars are cheap and so are knock-off parts.

Definetly needs new rotors, pads still look fine. Tried to unsieze the ebrake cables, soaked them with PB plaster and will try again next time, over $200 for both cables so hopefully I can salvage them. Button up some vacuum lines, sand the bondo and paint, new windshield and she should be ready for inspection. |

Saturday it's being towed to a friends garage where it will sleep all winter and I will be stock piling cash until the spring. |

I wasn't planning on quitting now but I have to save up and spend some money on the wagon before the road trip next year. Its sooooo close to being done though, I just dont have the $200 to spend on calipers right now. and well I'm really considering priming and painting the whole thing, Ive always wanted a nice civic and I think this is the best chance I'll have unless I win the lottery or marry a rich cougar. I have that tool and they were completely seized. Even with the calipers off the brackets, 2 feet on the brake pedal the cylinders wouldn't budge.

This is why they suck. They seize way easier than standard piston brakes. Everything is easier with the right tool. Can't tell you guys how many times when I worked parts that people would bring in threaded calipers they thought were seized that I just grabbed the rental tool and twisted them back in and handed them back. Bled them until new fluid came out. Image size reduced, original size: 5312 x 2988. Click here to view the image in its original dimension. Image size reduced, original size: 5312 x 2988. Ran it up to temp, runs pretty good, idle is a little funky but we still haven't tackled the timing yet. I already chose the color I want for it, $1000 for a gallon of clear and paint |
