Ippo has similar character designs to Wangan Midnight--I doubt that's why it isn't getting any coverage.

ROFL... I was kidding about the character design, but I don't think many of the more well known sites (i.e. ANN, ANS) really care about Wangan Midnight.

I can't say that the pictures and characters look silly. But with car racing animes. Effort is put into the cars not the characters. Have you actually tried to imagine a guy that looked like sasuke drive a car 0_0?

Well, just because it's a car anime doesn't necessarily mean the character art is going to not be as good as others. It's all in the eye of the beholder.

Still no news about the studio overseeing production... rumors around futaba are that either AIC Spirits or Feel are involved. Take it with a grain of salt.

We can only hope that it becomes a reality.

no wangan midnight doesn't be like ID because the race and cars view in WM is totally different from ID.
In WM power is the more important fact whereas in initial D power is not essential.

Kinda of pectacle on this, but I guess we'll have to wait and find out.
