And then there's this nigga.
Having been taught the metric system initially, I of course hated the Imperial system at first. I mean, if you try to rationalize it through arithmetic, it makes no sense. Unit conversions are much more difficult, not to mention impossible if you didn't memorize their rates. What makes the Imperial system work is that it relates very, VERY well on a 'human' level. It's rather tough to explain, I used to use cm and m to measure everything, then I learned how big an inch really is and I sort of never looked back. If you used nothing but the imperial system for 3 months and go back to seeing metric stuff, it's jarring how unnatural it feels. The Imperial system isn't about conversions, you stick one unit of measurement for that object and never convert. Small things? inches. Tall things? feet. Wanna get precise? tack em together. Your backyard? yards. Too sloppy? measure it in feet instead. It's why our freeway signs measure things in fractions so you'll never see signs that go: CITY-------30KM EXIT 1-----2KM EXIT 2 -----500M As Steve Jobs would say, it just...werks This post has been edited by Sensation! on Feb 24 2015, 12:43 PM

I didn't like the game too much since I thought Yuna was useless and Tidus was a prissy-pants. My favorite characters were Wakka and Wakka. Seriously though, what the heck was up with that lake scene? Like... why? Why did that need to be in there? |

Yuna does a complete 180 for X-2 though, and whether she gets better or even worse is up for debate. As for why the lake's scene is there... I'm not really sure why it's needed, but it's nice to watch, for me, anyway. |

Most of the cast though was very forgettable. Except Wakka. He was the best. I liked how the lake scene looked since it was one out of the 5(ish?) cutscenes that didn't make me want to gouge my eyes out after watching it. I was just super confused at the time what they were trying to prove with it. I mean... does TITus like Yuna at this point? Is he just thirsty? Is Yuna thirsty? Did he take her out to dinner afterwards? Are they an item after this part of the story? HOW ARE THEY BREATHING IN THE WATER FOR SO LONG?! Maybe I'm looking too far into this... |

Wow dude. Sit back, I'm 'bout to spread LEARNIN'. http://images.google.com Click the little icon of the camera at the end of the search bar. Paste a URL to an image or upload one from your computer. Hit search. Google then tries to figure out what that image is and where on the web it can be found. The ease of finding the answer yourself in a matter of seconds is why we're all being dicks about you wasting time asking on a message board. Of course that's not even mentioning that two seconds in regular old normal Google with the proper nouns mentioned in our posts would've given you the answer too. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

One needs not a degree. One needs only highlight an unknown name/word, right click, and select 'Search for...' in any modern browser. Google reverse image search has been available for years. There is also SauceNAO for weaboo-specific images in case Google fails. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

In fact, on Chrome, you can just right click almost any image and press "search google for this image" too, it will do a reverse image search too. This feature is even available in the android version of chrome. Really convenient. |
