I m a big fan of sleepers and this is a sleeper idea. The WRX and the 2.5 rs has pretty much the same esterior features except for the famous WRX hood scoop. It would be crazy if someone got him self a WRX, reworked the engine to have a front mount intercooler(customed painted black), swaped the WRX hood with the 2.5 rs hood, replaced his WRX badges with 2.5rs badges and got the 2.5rs fog lamp covers. On the outside, theres no way someone could tell it was a WRX. Imagine if u rolled in that car and some ricer revs on you thinkin is only an RS, they would be smoked without knowing what hit them. |

Unregistered | Want a better sleeper? Turbo the EJ25... YOu'll have way way more torque than the wrx and running only 4.5 Psi will give u around 240 hp and 250 lbs of torque if intercooled.... take advantage of the larger cylinders of displacement... Ej20 RS's have been done enough... Turboing them is just sooo much fun! haha. O well take care guys, Devon |

I'm opting for the EJ20G engine swap, I'd much prefer to turbo the DOHC EJ20G than messing around and playing with the SOHC open deck EJ25. I know a guy who ran Group N cars back in Japan, he's going to help me with mine. Did you get a chance to look at the NEW WRX coming out in 2003 2004? Bug eyes are gone, and the hood scoop on the STi will poke your eye out. You can check it out at www.rexilla.com I think the look just went from bad to worse personally, I'm much more favorable to the GC8s . But if you ask me, the old school Imprezas don't look THAT sleeper, they're more aggressive looking than the cars Subaru has now, and that's why I like it. Alex |

With the production of the WRX on the US shores now, whenever anybody sees a Subaru their first question is "damn, is that a WRX?". I honestly believe most people didn't know Subarus existed before the WRX. But anyone who has a 2.5RS will tell you that it's just a torquey car with AWD, with 165hp at the crank. It'd probably lose to a Civic Si in the quarter mile, but beat one in the 1/8th mile since most of it's power is generated in the low to mid-ranges of the engine. I know a lot of people who say "just turbo your EJ25, it'll produce more torque than the WRX EJ20", but many Group N racers in Japan will tell you that the EJ20 will produce more output and torque than any EJ25 out there .
