Well, I know I made a thread for Fable III being the first game to be free for xbox live gold members, and I know it would be odd to make a thread for each game that came out, so i'll just make one for them all!

The first half of July we got Defense Grid: The Awakening as the free game. And now for this second half, we now get Assassins Creed 2.

So, be sure to get AC2 if you want to get it for free before the end of the month, after that, you'll have to pay. lol

my first AC game, heard most of them are slow, so i don't know what to think about this.

They have a bit of a plodding story, yes. The first game was a bit "meh". The second is where it really become a great game.

The game play looks great, but I was never a fan for any of the AC games.
I prefer playing Prince of Persia

I wonder what other big games will be coming out besides Halo 3.. maybe RDR, let's hope!

I bought the first AC when it first came out, I was so bored of the damn game due to it being slow and just way too much talking cut scenes after that, I just never played it ever since. Ill try 2 to see whats up.

I think it might be the same as the first one.... it's decent, but it's not my cup o tea. Just odd controls.

Well, this month (August) will certainly be a great time to get some free games.

I would call this "Co-Op" month.

August 1st-15th will allow you to get Crackdown for free!
August 16th will allow you to not only download Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, BUT also Dead Rising 2, that's 3 great games for this month!

So if you ever wanted a chance to play some fun games with a buddy, now's your chance.

I thought everybody had Case Zero already. It was pretty awesome and helped hype the release of DR2.

Also, Crackdown is fucking awesome. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Nope, never tried a DR game before, nor the Crackdown games, so we can play together! Or ceci and I can play!

Sweet, I never did cash in on the free one month of xbox live. Mean's I can get all these fully free! YUSH.

Yup, you get 3 free games, but I wonder what the next games are gonna be.

My birth month kicks ass. The first Crackdown game was wonderful and better than the sequel (imo). DR2 and the many side-games that came before and after it were also great. Case Zero is very short, but it's meant to be a quick prequel and a tutorial on the game engine and controls, and it's still damn fun, especially when you're aiming for the crazier achievements. The huge zombie kill count one is very tricky if you don't know about the secret weapon that's sitting in plain sight everywhere in the environment.

Seriously Crackdown is one of my favorite 360 games. Have both of em on disk but I'd like to have a digital one so I don't have to hunt down disks or burn out another drive. Is Dead Rising 2 any good? I couldn't stand the controls in the first one, or even Case Zero, or the awful difficulty. I never made it more than an hour or so into the first one. I guess its more like, I don't like my weapons to constantly break.

A problem I have with it is that there's just so little to do once you kill all the crime bosses. Agility orbs and driving challenges are boring. I need people to be shooting at me or I can't have a good time!

Reset the crime bosses and fight them all again. Hell, up the difficultly once you reset the bosses, go straight to the main one and skip the lower ones.

One thing I find odd about the game, the random glitch/bug where the enemies disappear into the ground.

Did that, on Psychotic (twice, even). Wang is the only challenge because it's very difficult to reach him without entering the skyscraper and getting mauled by those fucking Kowloon guards and their homing rockets. Wang himself is stupid easy once you reach him, since he carries a shitty gun and can be very easily launched off of the tower.

Psychotic difficulty is only hard if you're stupid.

Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2 Case Zero are free now. Currently downloading them so I can have something to play when I wake up.

So, this months (Septembers) free games are Magic The Gathering 2013 and Rainbow Six Vegas!

Normally the first game is available to download the last day of the previous month, so you should be able to get it tomorrow.
