I'm currently planning on making a 180sx to complement my evo's weakness on akina. The only thing I know about it is that it rocks in akina and it kicks @$$ in usui. I was hoping that you could share your knowledge on the 180sx in the following:

1) which tune?
2) which parts would i need after BT?
3) how does it fare on wet?
4) what is its weakest course?
5) Shift points (is the one posted good or is there another one that's better) ?

Your insights and tips would be very much appreciated. Thanks... happy.gif

Thanks for the info. Man, I hate happo. I really suck there. Is it really that bad in wet, like, altezza or mr-2 bad? How about uphill? How does it fare uphill against, say, an fc?

i don't fink those shift points work properly...

i've tried it b4 and 6.25 is too weak for 2nd to 3rd....

jus do da normal 6-> 6.5 -> 7 -> 7/7.25 depending on track

parts....no clue.....

weakest prob on tsuchi wet....iro wet...

i use B tune myself....i dunno da difference tho...only got it for it phat wing.... grin2.gif

Does it really suck big time in tsuchi wet? Do I have to avoid tsuchi wet at all costs with the car? If i do, it's gonna be a big problem. Most challengers in my area will almost always take you to tsuchi, and sometimtes in wet. But they run around 3"03 or something. Do you think i have a chance against them in the 180?

PS: yeah, that phat wing. Loks like it belongs to a jet or something... grin2.gif

Maybe 3'03 doesn't sound too good.

Yah, i know, 3'03" sucks. But if it's wet and i use the 180, how would i fare against them?

I run 3'01" with my evo in tsuchi... and i know that i run slow... i look at other threads where people post times and their always under 3'00". i almost always hit the 1st turn at the rollercoater or, if not, i brake hard and lose lot's of speed. I gotta do more TA's...

Usui could pretty much be good for most Nissans.

i use an A-Tune 180sx with 600k pts - i'd say tsuchi's one of its worst courses (and i just suck at that course) going outbound (the one with the rollercoaster turns at the end, maybe its inbound), it cannot take those rollercoaster turns for butt cakes -- irohazaka is a pretty decent course for it, but it'll lose to an evo everytime =( beats fd's though

Thanks for the tips, guys. grin2.gif I guess i really have to practice more to get better, especially in tsuchi. that's where everyone takes you in battles.

rollercoaster u can do around 140-141.....in 5th gear...

it takes a while to get use to tho afta playing around wif a evo on both those tracks... crying2.gif

i drive a 180sx which is sooo close to ft its not even funny, but my ta is not that good compared to the ppl that i compete with here in houston. crying2.gif i currently do a 2'54"318 ob and 2'54"510 ib. average in my eyes. i was b-tuned with stock hood, c-tune spoiler, c-tune rims, and kenji's muffler. i just switched to c-tune just to see how different it is.. and its a lot more drifty on tsuchisaka, but i love it so far. i feel that the 5th gear is a lot weaker when i switched tunes. i used to be able to enter at 158 and exit at 165 but now i enter at 156-7 with a decent run and exit at 161. i always mess up at the rollercoaster, i need to practice harder at that one spot pinch2.gif its probably the main reason why my times suck laugh.gif i just wished i can keep up with my friend and his evo4 pinch2.gif his current time is 2'44"xxx
