Special Stage doesn't operate the same way with a racing wheel and seat. There's no wheel out there with the same turning radius, so your turning won't be the same as in the arcade.

if you actually had the greens and more greens, because think of this, the electric bill, the maintenance to the machines and maybe the drinks/food you'll be selling to kids as well. wink2.gif

You won't be making alot because you'll still be pumping money into the bills and etc. And think about the payments of the building you'll be using for the arcade as well.

What tesso said, I used to go to an arcade like 10 minutes away from my house (driving of course) they also had PC's they were there for over a year and then blam, they left, they couldn't pay for the building and the customers started to die down. sad.gif

Oh well, he's selling the machines and his PC's too.

as i said before
if i had the cash, id buy a initial d machine
its what? $6000USD for a brand new v3 cab from HK atm
if i had enough id just goto the local arcade here that has 2 v3 machines in storage and ask to buy one for $1000 considering it has been upgraded from v2 and may not be in the best of shape
but meh, ONLY if i had the money

QUOTE (Panda_86 @ Nov 8 2007, 11:18 PM)
I think its would be nice to have a personal arcade racing machine at home. Specially if you're one hotshot racer...

First, when your car is unavailable for racing, or no event is available for racing, or not racing at all. An arcade machine would be the best place to express your racing life.

Second, it would be better if you choose a simulator-machine than an arcade machine. At $8000 that's alot of games yes! but considering there are so many cars available and so many courses available too... practicing with different car feel (well, at least from the steering wheel), the simulation would be nice... Let's say Takumi for example... it took him 5 years to really be an expert with Akina winning his underpowered AE86 against stronger rivals, just because he knows so many racing lines available and techniques that can be used. And even until Project.D 4th Stage, Takumi realizes there's more of Akina worth practicing...

And when it comes to practice, a simulation machine is worth practicing for a price accumulating to $8000 than practicing with a real car all the time and spending all that much more money on parts and maintenance...

Just an opinion though, cause what you really want is the less-than-realistic-arcade-style Initial D arcade...

For all that fun, though, a real fan with a long-lasting-love-affair with Initial D, having an arcade at home won't be bad!!! happy.gif

having your own machine would suck... no in store errr in house battles and prolly no online. it would get boring. dry.gif

if arcades have V4 online...i dont see why you couldnt have it online at home if you have a decent enough connection
but if someone bought a single v3 v2 or v1 machine it would probably be for TA...i know if i bought a machine that would be the main thing id do with is...its all i ever do now

Conside this: Get a ps2, get a Initial D Special Stage game, buy a racing wheel and seat. All that lot is still cheaper than that clunky machine.

lol. kimhikaru already did that with Extreme Stage! laugh.gif

That would be sweet!!! I would love to be able to have the option of playing it when ever I wanted. But it costs a grip. LOL. There is a double version 3 on ebay now for a decent price.
