Many people are falling prey to a suspicious new religion. Lupin III infiltrates this group, hoping to steal the treasure their leader keeps hidden. There he lays eyes on the beautiful, bewitching woman who has the leader enthralled. This is the story of how fashionable female thief Fujiko Mine first met Lupin III, the greatest thief of his generation.

Another great series this season that I will be following is this. It may just be the Gainaxfag in me, but I've really fallen for this. The artwork is spectacular (and I'm not just referring to the VAST abundance of HOLYSHITFUJIKOTITS) the soundtrack is cool, the story is developing excellently and the whole thing has such an air of class - just as any Lupin III story should. I have not seen the element of humour that was present on the earlier series, but this is still very well done and has got a unique style all its own.

Awaiting episode 5...

I am so watching this show for the serious OMFGFUJIKOTITS!

Wait, that didn't come out right. Let me try again:

I liked the old Lupin series so I love this new Lupin because of the artwork and the music. The naked Fujiko parts I can do without. It's not that I feel uncomfortable with all the nudity, I just think it distracts from the plot. Unless the plot is all about her being naked. Then whatever...

Where do you guys watch this? Because if memory serves me right, FUNimation (where I watch) is only on episode 4. But are we on episode 5 already?

Funimation picked this up already? Huh. I'm just watching subs, from who I don't know.

FUNimation has the rights and they are subbing and streaming it on their website. That's where I'm watching it. They're pretty good about it being on time with their weekly schedule and everything. What was the last episode that you watched about?

Episode 5 hasn't aired yet, anywhere. The show airs every wednesday, so the next episode will pop up on May 2.

Neat show. I still prefer classic Lupin III, though.

Thanks for the info, Tessō. Honda, the last one was about an opera singer.

Opera singer you say? Looks like I'll be watching that one this weekend with my sister. Don't give me any spoilers now! Although, I have to say; my favorite episode as of now is the first. Lupin was all kinds of awesome in that episode. happy.gif

Being a fan of Lupin the Third, I think is a great and new unique take. I will continue to watch it.

Im loving this. Its actually more faithful to the tone and art style of the original manga than the old anime was. Takeshi Koike really knows how to design and make a show look awesome.

Episode 6 of Lupin was quite possibly the most graphic one yet. It was pretty intense, but I felt as though they weren't concentrating on the story as much. But it might just be me. I'm still waiting on the return of Goemon and Jigen. I'm wondering how the gang met for the first time.
