I've finally gotten my setup working, and I'll be spinning whatever music happens to be in reach, but it'll be mostly rock, anime, or game music. I'll be popping in and out at various hours, but it'll usually be in the afternoon or before midnight. Please do listen in whenever I'm on, since this is the first time I'll be doing something like this.

My setup may not be as sophisticated as other setups (I'm currently broadcasting from a Vista laptop, but I have an XP desktop I can use.) But it'll get the job done nicely.

Posted by: Nomake Wan Apr 20 2008, 10:49 PM
Yeah, Vista sucks for radio at the moment. Stupid Shoutcast.

Welcome aboard!

Posted by: Tessou Apr 21 2008, 09:43 AM
Welcome to the team, man. What's your schedule in terms of days you'll be on? I'm here constantly so if I see your name in the radio frame I'll tune in. happy.gif

One of these days, we should get on to the old pranks we used to pull onair. Moar j3150n, disgusting jokes, or Smike could call my cell phone again. tongue.gif

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Apr 21 2008, 04:16 PM
Okay, I think I've got one permanent timeslot in mind. It'll probably begin sometime during friday evening and end just before N1's show. So this friday, I'll be on from 9-11PM PST.

Posted by: Tessou Apr 21 2008, 04:19 PM
Nice! The dead space left by me and IDR thanks to various tech issues is now filled. wink2.gif

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Apr 22 2008, 07:12 PM
I think I got some more slots nailed, sort of....

During weekdays, I'll be on daily at anytime between 7PM EST (That's when mandatory eurobeat ends) and 12AM EST. They MAY vary depending on what I have to do, but do listen when I'm on.

Posted by: SgtXDNX Apr 22 2008, 07:36 PM
Awesome show man, keep it up!

Posted by: Nomake Wan Apr 22 2008, 09:13 PM
Hey yeah! I caught part of your show from work, on my cell phone! Good times! Especially liked that metal version of Koi no Mikuru Densetsu! laugh.gif

WAWAWA...goyukkuri!

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Apr 26 2008, 12:54 AM
Okay, so here's my schedule.

Monday-Thursday: Anytime between 4PM PST and 9PM PST. Shows will be around 2 hours long. I may not be on every day

Friday: 7PM PST-9PM PST. I rather not be DJ'ing when people go to sleep

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 May 9 2008, 07:41 AM
Bit of an update. This past week I was hired by Canada's Wonderland as a Ride Operator. After I finish my location training, I'll get my schedule, so this may or may not affect my show schedule. Stay tuned for more details.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 May 18 2008, 04:47 PM
Okay, I'll be able to continue my Friday broadcasts. However, there will be no show this week since I'll be volunteering at AnimeNorth 2008 for the weekend.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 May 22 2008, 03:43 PM
There will be a show this week. However, it'll depend on whether or not BOZZY, WRX Type R, and other IDW members going to AN2008 will be going on friday. If not, we'll need to agree on a day where we'll all be there (I'll be there all 3 days).

EDIT: While there was no show for Friday Night/Saturday Morning, I managed to secure a interview with Sean Inoue and Dave Lim from No Name Losers. I'll have to practice not keeping the mic too close to me when I talk.

Do I have to keep on bumping my own thread here?

Anyway, this Friday. Depending on how well I plan this out, I may actually have to push the show to Saturday night. I get off at 9PM this Friday so unless I start planning tommorrow (day off) and thursday (get off at 6:30PM), I might not be able to do a show until Saturday.

EDIT: No more shows for this week. The rest of the new content will come next weekend.

Someone trashed my DJ account!!

N1 and I tried to set it back up, but now it's stuck as DJ and not admin. Not only that, I couldn't enter the radio chat at all!

Show has been pushed to tomorrow night. Hopefully that'll allow me to play the new Radiohead album along with the OTSU Club Mix of Key songs.

Posted by: Nomake Wan Jun 13 2008, 06:38 PM
Yeah, sorry about that. Wish I could delete the accounts and start over, but it seems that I don't know how.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jun 19 2008, 05:47 PM
Didn't get to play the Radiohead album last Saturday, but I'll be playing it this week along with R.E.M's new album.

Welcome on board laugh.gif

Posted by: Tessou Jun 23 2008, 07:25 AM
"Welcome on board?" You realize Hashi's been both on IDW and the radio for quite a long time, right? pinch2.gif

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jun 26 2008, 06:21 AM
Just to let you guys know, there'll be no show for friday, since I've got work the next morning. This means that this week's show will be on saturday.

*Kicks posting limit aside*

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jun 28 2008, 10:36 PM
Wow, bad turnout for the saturday show, all thanks to a radio crash early on. Anyway, there'll be no show next week. Although I have friday off, I have to work on the weekend, and my saturday shift starts at 9:25.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 7 2008, 03:35 PM
No show this friday. I'll be out to a BBQ for dinner. Show will be on saturday, and there's a chance that I'll start much earlier (as in before 9PM EST).

EDIT: There may be a show on thursday if tessou gives me the okay.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 10 2008, 08:46 PM
Well I'm gonna consider this Touhou Project show a success, in spite of a forum crash that brought everything to a standstill for a few minutes. I think I may have achieved my personal best in terms of listeners (managed to get 17 listeners at one point). Anyway, I've got an all-brit show lined up for tonight, using the same time slot as my usual friday shows. And don't forget the Saturday show. That's NEW MUSIC NIGHT!

Posted by: BOZZ Jul 11 2008, 06:15 AM
What is weird is although I am not a huge fan of Touhou, the music was pretty nice, I kept it playing in the background as I was doing other work. It just had that kind of, office radio sort of feel to it.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 12 2008, 12:22 PM
Well it looks like I may have to start an hour or 2 later than my scheduled time. I'm not sure if I'll be back before 8.

Posted by: BOZZ Jul 12 2008, 12:24 PM
What theme do you have in store for tonight?

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 12 2008, 03:18 PM
It's new music night tonight, just like my usual friday shows. And if you'll excuse me I gotta start prepping the playlist.

I may have hinted at what's on the playlist tonight throughout the week. Scroll through the logs if you can't remember.

EDIT: Half-time update. Show's going pretty well as expected. I'm gonna be on until IDR's time slot, since Tessou's not on tonight.

EDIT: As you can see, IDR is NOT on right now, so I'll be on ALL THE WAY until Nomake Wan's eronight. THis is gonna set the record for LONGEST SHOW EVER (just under 6 hours).

EDIT: YES!!!!!!!! I ACTUALLY DID IT!!! I have now set the current record for longest show at just under 6 hours.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 15 2008, 05:28 PM
Alright, there's probably going to be no show from me this week due to the fact that I have 4-11pm shifts for Friday-Sunday. That 6-hour record is probably never going to be broken by ANYONE for at least MONTHS. However, I may end up gathering enough material for NEXT week to perform ANOTHER endless setlist, time permitting of course.

Posted by: Tessou Jul 15 2008, 05:36 PM
Heh, I actually have a show in the works to try and beat that 6 hour record. wink2.gif

Posted by: MattW Jul 15 2008, 05:40 PM
Don't worry Tesso, he may have beaten you by time, but looking at that playlist, your music definitely is 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000x better.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 15 2008, 05:58 PM
Tessou's Midnight Shift could be treated as more of a retro show, while my regular show is more of a "New Music Night" show, but with less focus on anime and japanese tracks (like N1's courtroom overload) and more focus on what's available in North America.

As for the time record, I don't think it's gonna be beaten during the weekend, but DEFINITELY during the workweek, with the exception of sunday (No one's on, unless you count Dave) and friday (Kikumaru and N1).

Posted by: MattW Jul 15 2008, 06:03 PM
Not from what I see on that playlist.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 16 2008, 08:04 PM
Okay, I know I'm a week late for this, but I finally got around to uploading those Touhou albums I played last thursday.

We've been retro for most of the shows, yes, but we're steering out of there occasionally. I'm trying not to delve into any of the anime or video game music since that stuff is generally territory traversed by the rest of the DJs (save for N1's amazing Eronight shows, those are unique as hell).

Gotta be the only different one to stand out, know what I mean? laugh.gif

Posted by: Tetsuya Hikari Jul 16 2008, 08:32 PM
I'm hijacking this thread fear2.gif!

I think it's cool and all that you're the record holder, but..don't let it get to your head, lol. There's no sense in saying stuff like, "Gotta be the only different one to stand out, know what I mean?" when I could say the same about some of my shows. Did you ever heard someone playing Sengoku Basara music, or hours worth of Vocaloid, or much less..holding a two hour special for Ys?

There are some things that make each and every one of us deejays unique. Don't worry, it's not just you Tesso wink2.gif

Posted by: Tessou Jul 17 2008, 08:05 AM
Ah, my bad if it came out that way, guys.

I meant that generally, the other DJs other than myself play a lot of japanese/video game music, whereas I have adopted the practice of not doing so. It was my observation that the more unique shows (N1's eronight, for instance) garner a lot more attention on the airwaves, hence the odd man out comment.

I'm not trying to downplay any of my fellow DJs at all, so I'm sorry if that was the impression you got. You guys are all great! Let's keep the radio going strong forever! happy.gif

I thought that's how you came across too, N1 does play a mixture of anime/video game-like music on his shows, when I was doing my shows I was doing much the same as well. Variety is not a bad thing in the case of IDW Radio!

Here's what's on the bill for the week starting tommorrow.

Wednesday: IOSYS night + surprise after the show (think eronight)
Friday: New Music night + I try singing one or 2 medleys
Saturday: CIRCUS/ Da Capo night

Posted by: BOZZ Jul 23 2008, 05:42 AM
Da Capo night? As in playing the music from Da Capo and such?

Posted by: Tessou Jul 23 2008, 11:40 AM
God damn it, you spring for the one night I could possibly come back onair for a surprise midnight shift... crying2.gif

Da Capo night?  As in playing the music from Da Capo and such?

Yes. And not just Da Capo, I may be playing a track or two from Suika as well.

And yes, you guys read right. I, DJ HASHIRIYAR32, am going to review an eroge! It'll be a surprise, and you won't know what it is until AFTER the IOSYS set.

EDIT: Well in my case, TRY to review it. The only reason why I chose it is because someone helped me and answered any questions I had while I was playing it (NOT Nomake Wan. It's someone on AnimeSuki forums).

EDIT2: Okay, due to LACK OF ATTENDANCE, I have CANCELED MY FIRST ERONIGHT. However, it will be replaced by another IOSYS album. Wasn't really going to have it end up in me being "ambitious but rubbish".

EDIT3: f**k IT. Seriously, that could've been a good IOSYS set, but then the disconnects came in. Anyway......I am going to need a new headset very soon if I'm ever to do karaoke properly come friday.

Oh so you're the one. Bozzy led me to believe it was Ken.

I want a 7-9PM PST timeslot for this Friday and Saturday. 'Cause I don't have work on Saturday and that was my old timeslot so I'm gonna do a special show in that timeslot.

I want to, anyway. Up to you.

Oh, weird I thought you led me to believe it was you who thought Kiks had a show during the 7-9 PM slot... I don't really keep track of the timeslots much myself... so... yeah...

It's too bad I missed hearing your debut on the e-night Hashi... Any hint on what game it was?

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 25 2008, 02:26 PM
There's a chance that I MAY re-attempt ero-night some time in the future, so the title is being kept under wraps until then.

Anyway, I'll be starting at around 7:30-8PM EST tonight.

EDIT: Nothing kills shows like constant disconnects. Seriously, I think my connection is dying on me AGAIN.

HashiriyaR33: Kikumaru's booked a 8-11PM PST slot for friday.  You may have to dash your plan of broadcasting from 7-9PM

Had I known this wasn't the case much earlier, I would've let you on. Hell, I was seriously considering of changing my playlist the moment you said that I wasn't paying attention to the timezones and stuff.......

However, I WILL grant you the 7-9PM PST slot for tonight. Well, that's the least I can do anyway.

I'm very sorry that I basically started this mess.

Posted by: Nomake Wan Jul 26 2008, 05:35 AM
No worries and thanks for the slot. I'll stick to my regularly-scheduled Friday show next week. Eronight next week, we'll see.

Thanks again. Now for bed.

Wow, I only managed to stay connected for 15 minutes before I get disconnected RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of Nemu's image song.

I'm considering the show a BUST.

Posted by: Nomake Wan Jul 26 2008, 07:24 PM
And as luck would have it, Perry's not around to reboot the serv0r. Rats.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 27 2008, 06:10 AM
Okay, since I don't have work today or tomorrow, I am going to do a double set of my own tonight. I'm gonna start the music set at aronud 7 or 8, and then..........I will make a second attempt at eronight. Here's hoping that I get ENOUGH DAMN LISTENERS for it to be worth something.

EDIT: Again, my connection was leaving me in despair. I should've thought up of doing an eronight last month or something, back when my connection didn't get shot up to hell.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jul 30 2008, 07:36 PM
So here's what's going to happen for the next few weeks. I'm sending my laptop back to HP tommorrow to get my wireless card woes sorted out. Turnaround time's approx. 2-3 weeks. I can still broadcast using either of the XP desktops (one's the MDG with the Celeron D, the other is an old PIII that I got back in '04), but listening to shows after hours is basically another matter. If I can get the MDG moved back to my room, then I'll be able to join you guys through the shows. If not, well........we'll see.

Another thing. I may NOT be able to participate in shows or do any shows at all during the August 22-24 weekend. I'll be going to fan expo on the first 2 days, then I'll be heading to Mosport for the final day of the 2008 Grand Prix of Mosport (events include Speed World Challenge Touring Car, and the American Le Mans Series). I may organize a IDW meet at Mosport on the 24rd, and I'll start on a thread soon.

If you missed my friday show, you can grab it here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X7MYJAF8

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Aug 16 2008, 09:02 PM
Wow, I think I set the record for having ZERO listeners for an extended period of time (at least 35 minutes). At least that changed after I started playing the Paul Oakenfold CD. Anyway, my next show may just be my FINAL show for a while. I'm heading back to university at the end of the month and I'm going to stop broadcasting so I can concentrate on my studies. The problem is, when?

Since I may be going to Fan Expo this week, a show's pretty much out of the question. Next week is also gone since I have to move stuff into my off-campus rez before the term starts. And classes start on the 4th of september (thursday).

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Aug 23 2008, 08:14 PM
Just held my final show tonight. I'm hanging up the keys for at least a couple of months. It was fun while it lasted, but right now my studies are calling me. I'll continue to participate in other DJs show every so often, but there are no guarantees. I'm pretty much off the airwaves until god knows when, but until I actually improve in my studies, I'm NOT coming back on.

Thanks to everyone who listened to my shows throughout these 4 months!

UNTIL NEXT TIME, this is DJ HashiriyaR32, signing out.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Sep 13 2008, 09:17 AM
Okay, I'm back, but with a major announcement. I'm pretty much back on the airwaves, but I will no longer be doing weekly shows for at least 2 reasons.

1. Upload rates at the house that I have in Ottawa are ATROCIOUS, as I learned the hard way Thursday night.

2. This needs to be taken in moderation.

So basically, the only time I'll be on the air is when I'm back home in Toronto. I usually come back for holidays, so the next time I'll be on after tonight is during the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend.

I'll be hosting a show tonight starting from around 7-8PM PST all the way to 11PM PST. If you have requests, please pass them to DJ Alastair (he's on tommorrow night) since while I'm on the air, I'll be catching a bit of sleep before Eronight, and thus may not be able to recieve and fulfill those requests.

Also, tonight I'll be playing the new Metallica album "Death Magnetic", and then I'll fill the rest of the playlist with random tracks I have. Don't miss it!

Posted by: Tessou Sep 13 2008, 09:28 AM
You have your own place?

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Sep 13 2008, 10:14 AM
I've actually rented a room in a house in Ottawa that's approx. a 10-15 minute walk from the Campus of Carleton University. Now at the very least I can try to cook for myself, although I do visit the cafeteria in Residence Commons from time to time.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Sep 18 2008, 04:43 PM
Okay, ANOTHER MAJOR CHANGE.

I've just determined that my connection here is NOT shot to hell. I've confirmed this by tuning into the stream while on air with no skipping whatsoever. With that, it only means one thing.

I. AM. BACK!!!!!

That's right, I'm now back as a full-time DJ for the weekend!

Tommorrow night, I'll be playing the 2-disc "GROUND ZERO ~TOHO ROCK!! 2007" album by C-CLAYS.

user posted image

This is a collection of rock remixes of Touhou BGM from various doujin artists who produce remixes of Touhou BGM (including my favorite group, dobu usagi).

EDIT: Wow, that didn't turn out so well. I was skipping all over the damn place even though I made sure I wasn't. My connection seems to be all over the place.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Oct 2 2008, 12:45 PM
Well, change of plans again.....

I'm reverting back to my original plan of being on air for a limited basis. The next time I'm home in Toronto will be for the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend (9-13), so I'll have a show planned for the 10th. I'll post details when that date approaches.

UPDATE: My Oct 10th show will include more varied content as I'll have access to all my music from the desktop. Before that, my music selection wasn't that great whenever I did shows from my laptop since neither my laptop's HDD or the old 160GB ext HDD could hold the content I had from my desktop. With the addition of my new 1TB ext HDD, I can now basically take all the stuff that I gathered from March 2007 with me (this also includes the stuff I that was originally on my 160).

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Oct 9 2008, 04:40 PM
Tomorrow night (Oct 10), I'll be hosting my THIRD Touhou Project special. I'll be covering works by 3 different doujin groups. Dobu Usagi (whose works I've played on my first Touhou special), UI-70 (took part in C-CLAYS' GROUND ZERO album), and Alstroemeria Records (whose "For Your Pieces" album was played by DJ Phoenix Wright last month). I'll be starting at around 7PM PST, then going all the way to 11PM PST.

EDIT: Cancelled Oct 9th show. The file transfer is taking WAAAAAAY too long and won't be done in time for my show.

Posted by: Alastair Oct 9 2008, 07:49 PM
damn and i was looking forward to tomorrows show :/

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Oct 9 2008, 10:48 PM
The Touhou Project special is still taking place as planned, just to be clear.

EDIT: Change of plans. The show is going to start at 5PM PST rather than 7 because it turns out that I've got quite a lot of stuff to play, and even with the extra 2 hours, I won't be able to play all the content from Alstromeria Records.

EDIT: I consider this show a SUCCESS!!! I'll be uploading content from my show later on today.

Posted by: Carlton Oct 11 2008, 12:15 AM
Gotta punch this posting limit aside again.

Tommorrow night's show will feature various tracks from the original soundtrack of Chaos;HEAd (check the title art, it's capitalized this way), including the opening "Find the blue" by Kanako Ito. It will also feature a good chunk of content that I have yet to play on air, and few of my favorites. To get you started, here are just a few of the things on the bill for tommorrow night....

-Bastard Pop Terrorists (inB4N1 happy.gif)
-Select albums by Alstromeria Records
-Dragonforce
-Rise Against

AND MORE!!

The will start at approx 4PM PST, so please tune in if you can!

Posted by: SgtXDNX Oct 23 2008, 08:43 PM
Sounds awesome! I'll try to make it.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Oct 24 2008, 01:03 PM
Just a small reminder. Any requests made during tonight's show will be queued up for next week, since I have no space for requests at all. Also, be sure to listen in because like my show since eronight is taking place right after, and I'll be providing some info during as to what is going on.

EDIT: I really need to learn that my connection here is as unpredictable as the wind. Not only that, it tends to get a bit cramped around the evening hours, and that sends my upload rate straight to hell.

EDIT: If you're wondering why I wasn't on the air after 6PM PST last night, that's because I got tired of my inconsistent and shoddy upload rates that are afflicting me once again. The show was a COMPLETE bust, but I'll it again some other time, so I won't be trashing tonight's playlist.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Oct 31 2008, 12:38 AM
I'm sort of out of ideas for my Halloween special for tonight, so if you have ANY suggestions, please make some recommendations here, and I may try to accommodate such requests if there's time.

I'll be starting my show at around 5PM PST and ending at 9PM PST, with DJ Eiji (AKA Tetsuya Hikari) jumping on after me.

So for now, here's a sneak peek at who and what's on my setlist for tonight:

Gackt
MOSAIC.WAV

Alright, this week's gonna be a special week, since I'll be celebrating 2 different releases with 2 different specials. IOSYS' new album, 東方氷雪歌集 (Eastern anthology of ice and snow), was released today, so I'll be doing a 2-part special on Wednesday and Thursday where I'll be playing IOSYS' Touhou tracks plus some bonus tracks, except for the new album, which I don't have, so honour for that will be given to DJ Phoenix Wright.

On Friday, to coincide with the premiere of the new 007 film, Quantum of Solace, I'll be holding a short Bond Special, where I'll play the tracks from the recently released "The Best of Bond...James Bond" album.
I'll have quite a bit of room for requests after the Bond setlist, so if you want something to be played during that time, feel free to send me the tracks in advance, and I'll plug it into the playlist. Sending tracks during the show is fine too, although there will be a limit, since I won't know if DJ Eiji will be on air Friday night.

Stay tuned for more details and start times!

Cool man I can't wait to hear some Iosys again.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Nov 2 2008, 08:01 PM
Okay, I now have the show times for my IOSYS sets, so here they are:

Part 1 will be on Wednesday from 5PM PST to just after 8:30PM PST.
Part 2 will be on Thursday from 7PM PST to 11PM PST.

EDIT: Since DJ Eiji will be on the air friday night on his usual slot, I now have the show time for the Bond Special, which will be from 6PM PST to 9PM PST.

Have I mentioned that the flood control switch is broken?

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Nov 4 2008, 05:38 PM
Whoops, silly me......I confused the release dates for the QoS game and movie. The GAME is out on the seventh, while the MOVIE is out on the fourteenth. Therefore, the 007 special will take place on November 14th, with showtimes pending.

So here's my updated show schedule for this week:

IOSYS P1: Wednesday 5PM PST - 8:30PM PST
IOSYS P2: Thursday 7PM PST - 11PM PST
Regular Show: Friday 6PM PST - 9PM PST

I'll be taking all your requests for my Friday show, so if you want something played, please send it in!

UPDATE: So I decided to go over time on my wednesday show, and that's when I discovered that my upload rate had been taking hits. Thursday's show is now at risk of being cancelled due to this. Stay tuned for details.

Since Ayako and Thirteen requested this, here's: http://www.sendspace.com/file/axig75, otherwise known as, OVERDRIVE.

Not waiting for 72 hours to pass here....

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Nov 7 2008, 03:14 AM
Due to recent events I've decided to transfer next week's 007 setlist back to tonight, and therefore, there is a high possibility of no show next week. So instead of celebrating the release of the Quantum of Solace movie, I'll have to air the setlist to coincide with the release of the game.

Also, tonight I'll be debuting an album from EXIT TRANCE. It's the R25 Anime Trance Best album, a collection of remixed anime themes from the '80s to '90s. It's the first in a series of 2, the second of which will be played by DJ Phoenix Wright later on tonight, after DJ Eiji's show.

If the name EXIT TRANCE or EXIT TUNES rings a bell, this is because DJ Phoenix Wright once held a 4 hour special back near the end of April where he played the first 3 anime trance albums, the first "We tried to make an uma uma trance" album, and the "We tried to make a NicoNico Douga trance" album back-to-back-to....... you get the point. With the exception of the R25 albums, all the anime trance albums that have been so far have been played on air. I would like to give my thanks to him for introducing me to such remixes.

The show will start at approx. 4:50 PM PST (Yes I know, weird time, but I needed the extra minutes for something at the end), and will end at approx. 9PM PST, during which time I will step aside for DJ Eiji.

I considered my 3 shows last week to moderate successes.

I'll be on the air again this Thursday, and here's a small taste of what will be on the setlist:

New content from PHOENIX PROJECT, a doujin music group that does remixes of visual novel and video game themes (mostly RPGs), plus some originals.
A redo of C-CLAY's "GROUND ZERO - TOUHOU ROCK" album.
Themes from ongoing anime series that I'm currently following.

And more.....!

Be sure to tune in this Thursday night from 7PM PST to 11PM PST!

I haven't exactly found the original sources for those tracks, but at least some of them are. I'll see if I can find this guy's main site again.

Alright, time for an annoucement.

Volume 5 of the EXIT TRANCE Anime Trance Best series just came out yesterday, and to celebrate that, I'll be holding my own EXIT Trance Special this friday, where I'll play the first 4 albums non-stop. This means that I won't be on air Thursday night, and some of the content I intended to play then will be moved to the beginning of Friday's setlist as part of a preshow.

The EXIT TRANCE preshow begins at 5PM PST with the main set beginning at around 5:45~5:50-ish. It will then go all the way to 11PM PST, where DJ Phoenix Wright will take over and debut the fifth album in the series. Again, it'll be from 5PM PST - 11PM PST.

DON'T MISS IT!!

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Nov 23 2008, 02:48 PM
Sorry if I'm a bit late at posting this dry.gif. Forgot that my previous post was on THURSDAY night which meant the 72 hour time limit expired on SATURDAY night.

Okay. I'm considering my EXIT TRANCE special a mild success. I did manage to get an average of 8-10 listeners for the first 210 minutes or so, before it went straight to hell when my upload rates decided to drop.....I do apologize for anyone that was listening from that point on, but it was completely out of my control. I never did find out who was taking up the bandwidth, although I did suspect one of my housemates, as I observed him playing Starcraft when I stepped out of my room at one point to get a drink.

That's what I thought, but problems are still somewhat persisting. Please stay tuned as I'll may announce whether or not I'll be on air for this Thursday and Friday night.

Any plans on doing a similar show down the road Hash?

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Nov 27 2008, 05:25 PM
BOZZY, yes, I do plan on doing similar shows some time in the future.

Anyway, tomorrow night, I'll be playing the 2 most recent releases from The Killers.
user posted image user posted image
The first is Sawdust, a compilation album containing b-sides and re-recordings. This was released around this time last year. The second and most recent release is Day & Age, released last week.

user posted image user posted image
Next on the list are 3 side albums by EXIT TRANCE, specifically the 2 "We tried to make an uma-uma trance" albums and the NicoNico trance album. Before you say anything, I know there are only 2 album covers there. The NicoNico trance's album cover is virtually identical to the cover for the first uma-uma trance album, but with its title replaced.

All the above will be preceded by a 30-minute pre-show session, where once again, I'll be playing random tracks.

DON'T MISS IT!

EDIT: Ah crap, forgot the start time. 5PM PST. AGAIN, I'm starting at 5PM PST.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 1 2008, 02:52 AM
So, friday's Killers/EXIT TRANCE combo did really well. And then we move onto the impromptu 4 and a half hour stint that ended an hour ago. It's been a VERY long time since I simply shoved random tracks into playlist on the fly rather than deciding on specific material to play, sort of a throwback to the time of my radio debut.

As promised, this Friday I'll be playing the 2 Touhou Project-related albums.
user posted image user posted image
They are COOL & CREATE's "Super Shutter Girl" and CROW'S CLAW's "CROSSFIRE BARRAGE".

user posted image
Also, to begin the set, I will be playing Atreyu's "Lead Sails Paper Anchor", an album from last year that I got from one of my dorm-mates.

Please stay tuned for the start time as I do not know if Kikumaru will be on air that night as well.

Posted by: Alastair Dec 1 2008, 09:50 AM
hashi likes atreyu...i thought i was the only one lol.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 3 2008, 11:03 PM
Tommorrow night, I'll be going on air with an album filled with classical pieces used in Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, an anime adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' classic novel. After that, I'll be playing the Original Soundtrack to Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. This show will start at 7PM PST.

Now for Friday, I have added another album into the mix. Since my initial setlist looked a bit short, I decided to dump the rest of the tracks off of the Battle Gear 4 + Battle Gear 4 Tuned Soundtrack into my setlist. The start time for the entire set will be 7PM PST as well.

DON'T MISS THEM!!

Introducing the E-BUMP!

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 5 2008, 03:45 PM
So, last night's show.....I would like to thank EVERYONE who listened in from IDW, WME, and Shin Hyakuji High School.

For those that had requested this during the show, here is the OST for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue: http://www.sendspace.com/file/k58iaz

Stay tuned for tonight's show!

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 9 2008, 01:13 AM
Okay, THANK YOU to EVERYONE who tuned in to my shows during the weekend. And thank you Pikachu_Fragger for the plug of the radio stream on Shin Hyakuji High School. Thanks to you, we've got a new source of listeners. Not only that we've got people coming here, and our members going there as well.

Now.....this Thursday.....I'm going to be doing the usual random content show.....I'll be editing this post some time later today with what I'll be playing on air this Thursday night. For Friday night, you guys MAY have to count me out. I'm heading home to Toronto on that day, and I've got stuff to deal with when I get home, which may probably dampen my enthusiasm to the point where I may not only be unable to broadcast, but I may be unable to participate in that night's Courtroom Overload.

Please stay tuned!

EDIT: I've got a winter-themed playlist lined up for Thursday night (and it just happens to be snowing heavily as I type this), which will include Winter MIX Vol.3, a 2-disc set from Toranoana.

There's that, and then there's THIS:

THIS......is the Macross Frontier Vocal Collection - Nyan Tama, the third album in a series of three containing background and vocal tracks from Macross Frontier. It came out last week, but I didn't find out in time for my Friday show, so it's getting its IDW debut THIS Thursday night.

Show starts at 7PM PST and will go all the way to 11PM PST, at which point I will be replaced by DJ Pikachu_Fragger

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 17 2008, 03:06 PM
Alright, I'm not on air this Thursday night, but on Friday, I've got something special for you listeners:

http://img56.imageshack.us/my.php?image=103av6.jpg

This is Animage's 30th Anniversary Anime Dance Request Countdown, an album containing select tracks from a list of 30 of the most popular anime tracks as selected by readers of the magazine.

Also on the bill for Friday night will be EXIT TRANCE PRESENTS: CM TRANCE

http://img132.imageshack.us/my.php?image=covergw7.jpg

As the name implies, this album contains remixes of famous tracks used in Japanese commercials. Some of you will probably be expecting at least one or 2 tracks that you've heard before, but for X-Japan fans, there's a treat for you in this one. Sorry Nomake Wan, I'm gonna have to debut this album myself since it's been pushed back for weeks now.

Also included will be 2 randomly selected albums from my collection, which will lead into the 2 albums mentioned earlier. The show starts at 7PM PST and will end at 11PM PST, where I will be replaced by DJ Pikachu Fragger. Yes, you read right, this Friday will be a Total Control Geass show rather than Courtroom Overload, due to various circumstances, which I will not discuss.

Looking forward to what seems is going to be your best show yet, IMO.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 23 2008, 08:45 AM
Alright, thank you to EVERYONE who listened.

Now here's what I have in mind for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

For Christmas Eve, I'll be playing ENSON and ENSON2, two cover albums by JAM Project member Masaaki Endoh.

http://img360.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ensonhv0.jpghttp://img78.imageshack.us/my.php?image=frontux9.jpg

This will start at 7PM PST.

On Christmas day, I'll be playing the collection of soundtracks that I got for the Wipeout series. This means 6 albums, and 6 hours of UNLIMITED WIPEOUT WORKS. Therefore I'll be starting at 5PM PST.

Now for boxing day, I'm not sure if I'll even be on the air. I've got friends and family over that night, and I don't know when Nomake Wan will be on air. I'll assume NOT during his regular hours, since he's now on the east coast.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 26 2008, 12:54 PM
Alright, thank you everyone who tuned in to last night's Wipeout special and DJ Pikachu_Fragger's Christmas Drama.

For this New Year's Eve, I've got another special planned for IDW.
user posted imageuser posted imageuser posted image

That's right, It's time for IDW'S FIRST EVER UNLIMITED HALO WORKS. This means FIVE HOURS and THIRTY MINUTES of NON-STOP AWESOMENESS. Please check back soon for the showtime.

HELL YES A NIGHT OF NOTHING BUT HALO TO BRING IN THE NEW YEAR!

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 28 2008, 08:31 PM
Alright, I've got the showtime for Wednesday night. I will kick it off with a 30 minute pre-show at 5PM PST, and then I'll commence the Halo setlist at 5:30PM PST.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Dec 31 2008, 09:37 PM
Alright, thank you to EVERYONE who tuned in!! I do apologize for cutting it short, but somehow from around 12:15-12:20AM EST, the laptop somehow froze while the lid was down. Which meant a restart and a restructuring of the playlist.

Anyway, tonight, starting at 7PM PST, I'll be holding my first Comiket 75 special, consisting solely of content from that convention. Not sure what I'll be playing, since I need to sort through the loot first, and there'll be more on the way as well, as people upload the stuff that was sold at C75.

EDIT: The C75 Special is postponed until tommorrow night. I didn't get home from the ski slopes until 6PM my time, and I don't feel like rushing to convert the tracks and retag the stuff, then making the playlist. Therefore I'll be on at the usual time tommorrow night. However, I'll still be on tonight from 7PM PST to 9PM PST, giving IDW the first show of the new year.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jan 6 2009, 11:08 AM
Alright, THANK YOU to EVERYONE who tuned in for all 3 of my shows last week. This Thursday and Friday will contain more of the awesomeness from Comiket 75. Nothing's exactly set in stone yet, but I already have one album pinned down for Friday.

http://img183.imageshack.us/my.php?image=63896111ii6.jpg
This is the "KSL LiveWorld 2008" from Key Sound Label, the music division of Key responsible for all the music used in Key's visual novels.

I'm gonna keep the contents of the Thursday setlist and the remainder of Friday's setlist under wraps for now, since I've got a TON of music, but I haven't decided what to play yet. Not only that, a good majority of my C75 stuff are still sitting in their RARs, yet to be extracted.

Also, tommorrow night, I'll be hosting another all-Touhou special. The group for this one? Silver Forest, best known for the track "Tsurupettan".

I've got showtimes for all my three shows this week, so here they are:

Wednesday: 5PM PST - 11PM PST
Thursday: 7PM PST - 11PM PST
Friday: 6PM PST - 11PM PST

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jan 10 2009, 01:05 AM
ALRIGHT! Once again, I would like to thank ALL listeners who tuned into my shows this week. Please stay tuned to my show plans for next week.

So.....as I mentioned at the end of my friday show, all of my shows in January will be C75 shows. I'll be playing whatever I get converted for my remaining shows for this month.

Posted by: Carlton Jan 12 2009, 04:31 PM
*slaps timer aside*

Info coming up.....

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jan 12 2009, 04:31 PM
Alright, I've got my playlists set up for my 2 shows this week, so here's what going to happen. For Thursday, it's an all-Touhou edition of the C75 Special series. Along with other albums, I'll be playing, for the very first time, an album from Golden City Factory's "Touhou Midnight Maximum Tune" series, the album in question being TMMT5, which was released at C75. The start time will be around 6:50PM PST

For Friday, I'm gonna lay off on the C75 stuff for a bit, since I've got other stuff to play.

user posted image
First, I'll be playing the 2-disc Ridge Racer 6 OST from SuperSweep Records, which was released at C75, and was released worldwide this Wednesday.
(Don't mind the game boxart, I wasn't provided with the album cover)

After that, I'll follow that up with OTSU Club Compilation V2, volume 2 in a club remix series of Key songs. And finally..........
user posted image
.................UmaUma Dekiru 3. Yes.....I know DJ Phoenix Wright already played it (covertly), but it needs to be properly introduced, since there were only.......3 or 4 people listening at the time? The start time for this will be 6:00PM PST

DON'T MISS IT!!!!!

Well, I consider both those shows a success. Here's a copy of the RR6 OST for you guys: http://www.sendspace.com/file/jm3xp6

Now next week....I'll probably make Thursday my final C75 show, since I can't really keep it up for another FOUR SHOWS......

Stay tuned for more info......

Alright, I've got the setlists completed for my shows this week.

As I've stated before, this Thursday will be my FINAL Comiket 75 show. There will be less emphasis on Touhou content, and more spotlight on other doujin artists.

This is the REBIRTH+ album by SHIKI. I do apologize, but I don't know much about her, but she's pretty famous, from what I've heard. Also included on the bill are remixes from the group "fripside". No, your eyes aren't decieving you, that's the group's name.

For this Friday, it'll be a combination TRANCE DANCE list. On the bill are HIME TRANCE SPEED and the recently released "Trance Rave XVII" albums, both of which I got recently. I also have 2 groundbreakers for you guys.
user posted image
THIS, is EXIT TRANCE PRESENTS SPEED ANIME TRANCE COMPLETE BEST, a THIRTY-track CD containing ALL-NEW remixes of songs featured in previous volumes of the EXIT TRANCE ANIME TRANCE series, including the R25 series.

EDIT: Correction is in order. Only SOME of the tracks are new mixes and have new vocals. Also, most of the tracks had to be pared down so all 30 tracks would fit the 80-minute limit imposed by the CD format.

user posted image
THIS, is VOLUME 3 of the Lantis non-stop dance mix series, as kindly provided by Nomake Wan. The tracklist is being kept secret UNTIL YOU HEAR THIS FOR YOURSELF!!

Requests are closed for both shows. I apologize for this. I've already gotten a request for Thursday night, and there's no room for requests for this Friday night

The start time for the Thursday show is 7PM PST, and the start time for Friday's show will be 6PM PST. Both shows will end at 11PM PST. And please DO TUNE IN on Friday as I'll be providing updates and info as to what will happen for Nomake Wan's show on Friday night.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jan 27 2009, 08:40 AM
I would like to give my thanks to those who tuned in for my shows last week.

Now this week, not much is planned, but I'll provide a few clues as to what's being played. For Thursday night, it's back to my regular setlists. Included in it will be the 2-disc album "MAIKAZE Music Works" from Maikaze, the group that animated the Touhou Project OVA released at C75. Also included is "GO TO SONG 2", an album from voice actress/singer Yuko Gotou.

For Friday, it's rock night. I've got everything from Guns N' Roses, to The Beatles, to even Electric Six on the playlist.

Start times are here:

Thursday: 7PM PST
Friday: 6PM PST

EDIT: I only have time for a VERY short show tonight. 90 minutes at most.

Alright, please disregard my cancellation notice. As of last Friday, I am back on air.....with a new schedule. As I've mentioned before, I maybe limited as to how long shows can be.

For now though, I can provide previews of what I'll be airing for my two shows this week.

For Thursday night, it's Splinter Cell night, and I've got 2 albums. One official, and one that's.......a bit off the wall.

user posted image
The first one is the OST for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

http://img24.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image0001kv3.jpg
This is BlueMica's " TOUHOU SPLINTER CELL CODE:R - ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK -", released at C75. I only stumbled on this recently while sorting through the loot. This one anwsers the question of: "What if touhou tracks made it into a soundtrack for game in the Splinter Cell series?". START TIME IS 6PM PST.

For friday we have:
http://img14.imageshack.us/my.php?image=image0001fo3.jpg
Cis-Trance's "ODORU TOUHOU DRIFT -TURBO-". These are eurobeat and heavy trance remixes of Touhou BGM. This is only one of the albums that's on the list for Friday night. I may add more depending on how my Thursday show goes. Stay tuned for start time.

Alright, a big thank you to everyone who manage to tune in for the shows.

Those are going to be the last 2 shows for a while. This Friday, I'll be heading back to Hong Kong, so I won't be broadcasting at all. Tuning in to other people's shows will be just as unlikely. I'll be back in Toronto on the 13th of next month, and hopefully restart my shows on the 19th.

I would like to announce........

NOW RESUMING REGULAR SERVICE

This Thursday, I will have my first FULL show in March (that 10 minute teaser/announcement thing I did in Dongguan back on March 1st doesn't count). Included will be all-new releases from U2, The Lonely Island, The Prodigy, and MORE!

Start time will be around 6PM PDT. I can assure you I won't be starting after, but the start time is tentative until I can record some announcements and put them into the playlist.

For Friday, I won't know whether or not I'll be doing a show. DJ Phoenix Wright's got something big for us, and he'll be starting early. Problem is, he won't know how early until the day of the show, since apparently a few of his requisite albums have yet to arrive and there's no guarantee they'll make it until Friday. So check often in case I decide to go ahead with doing a show for Friday.

EDIT: I now have the start time for the thursday show. It will be 5:35PM PDT. Still don't know whether or not I'll be doing a friday show, so keep checking back.

Alright, for Thursday night, which is tonight, I'll be hosting my show, starting at approx 6:00PM PDT. Keeping track list under wraps since this was a last-minute job

For FRIDAY, I have a theme going. The track list will contain a mix of tracks dealing with vampires, gothlolis, and......more. Oh, and don't forget the speed metal and goth trance.

Here are the 4 albums I have lined up for Friday.

THIS is Yousei Teikoku's "GOTHIC LOLITA PROPAGANDA". I've played this many months ago, but seeing as it fits the theme tonight, I'm giving it another shot.

All the following albums are recent releases at this year's Reitaisai.

And why do I have a theme. Well, this Friday is also eronight, and the work being reviewed by N1 this week contains, among other things, vampires......especially loli vampires........ Stay tuned during the show for annoucements.

I have the tracklist for tonight's show, which will be another ALL-TRANCE show to coincide with a premiere of another album on DJ Phoenix Wright's show. What's on the list will be revealed at the start of the show, which is at 7PM PDT (10PM EDT) tonight.

Let's start off with Thursday's show.........

Tommorrow night, I will be hosting my first Cosmic Era special, featuring tracks from all Gundam works taking place in the Cosmic Era. This includes both Gundam SEED and SEED Destiny TV series, their special editions, plus the theme to CE73 Stargazer.

On Friday night, I've got a few groundbreakers for you guys. In addition to the two EXIT TRANCE albums that were released today (Anime Trance 7 and American Cinema Trance 2), I've got one or two more albums I would like to play.

Start time for Thursday's show will be 7PM PST -It's done.

Sadly, the Friday show has been postponed until sometime next week. Something just came up and I'll have to deal with that immediately.

Alright, here are the remixes that were requested from the Cosmic Era special.

Time for a long awaited announcement!

First off, here are links to tracks that have been requested from me within the past 3 weeks by other IDW members.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/vdc335 A cover of Yuyuko Saigyouji's theme off of the "Scattered Destiny" album from the group "EAST NEW SOUND". One of my favorite remixes of the original theme, and highly recommended, even if you're not a Touhou fan.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/lj8u6q As the title states, this is Halko Momoi's cover of the opening theme to the Initial D 3rd Stage feature film.

Now, here's what have in mind for my shows this week.

For Thursday night, the theme will be "Orchestra" and "Orchestral Mixes", so what I have lined up are the following:

user posted image user posted image
These are orchestral arrangements of music from Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED Destiny, performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

user posted image
"EASTERN FAIRY TALE" from the group "BITPLANE". They specialize in Eastern orchestral remixes of Touhou themes.

http://img35.imageshack.us/i/71361393.jpg/
This one's a recent release, it's "Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensou". Like the SEED orchestral albums, this album contains various tracks from the Haruhi Suzumiya anime performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

For Friday, I will be doing my show to celebrate the 9th birthday of Initial D World forums. Technically, August 1st is a Saturday, but what's the point of celebrating something on Saturday night, when the day's already gone by and possibly ended?

I'll be keeping Friday night's playlist a secret until I go on air. The start time for both shows will be as usual. 7PM PDT/10PM EDT for both nights.

One more thing. Be sure to check out http://www.last.fm/user/HashiriyaGDB. It records all the tracks that I have played on air, starting from April of last year. If there's something that I have that you want me to play, feel free to go through the list of tracks and request what you want!

EDIT: Word of Warning. I'll be starting approx. 5-10 minutes early on Friday night. This puts the start time at approx 6:50-6:55PM PDT.

A big thank you to everyone who tuned into my shows this past week.

As requested, I have uploaded the GS and GSD orchestral albums
http://www.sendspace.com/file/7s9vps (GS)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/6mh88b (GSD)

This week, I'll be doing just a Thursday show. I won't be on air Friday night since I have to be at Mosport International Raceway by 8 the next morning.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Aug 12 2009, 12:36 PM
I apologize for the long delay between replies, but here's what I have planned for both my shows tomorrow and on Friday night.

I will be playing, on both nights, all the albums from a series from doujin music group "SOUND HOLIC", specifically their "SOUND HOLIC MEETS TOHO" series. With eight albums in total, I have divided them into 4-albums blocks. This also means that I have room for requests for both nights, so please do not hesitate to send some stuff in.

Start times for both shows will be 7PM PDT.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Aug 15 2009, 05:44 PM
The 76th edition of Comic Market (Comiket) is underway and going strong, and that means it's mass leeching time once again for people looking for materials to put on air. This week's 2 shows will feature new music released at the event. Stay tuned for details as the week draws on and more releases become available on this side of the Pacific.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Aug 19 2009, 07:41 PM
Alright, here are the few details that I'm willing to divulge for my two shows this week.

On Thursday, I'll kick off the C76 Special series with a Touhou rock special, featuring new releases from UI-70, Crow's Claw, and more.

On Friday, it'll be an all-trance edition, featuring content from a variety of artists, not simply works from groups that deal mostly with Touhou content.

Start times are as follows:

Thursday 7PM PDT - 11PM PDT
Friday 6:50-55PDT - 11PM PDT

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Aug 26 2009, 10:33 AM
Time to roll out the carpet for the next two parts of my Comiket 76 Special series.

I'm going to mix it up on Thursday night with more Touhou content, including new releases from Silver Forest and C-CLAYS.

On Friday night, I'll be playing the second of the Silver Forest releases, and include Volume 5 of MOB SQAUD TOKYO's J-CORE MASTERZ series.

The start times are going to be different compared to last week's. As I'm attending Fan Expo this year, I may be late for Friday night's set. To account for that, I'll be starting one hour late then, and that hour has been transferred to Thursday night.

Also, please take note. This Friday's show will be my LAST SHOW for a while. With the new school year approaching once again, it's time for me to hang up the keys again, so after this Friday, I'll be seeing you guys for my THIRD season a few months later.

Set times:
Thursday: 6PM PDT - 11PM PDT
Friday: 8PM PDT - 11PM PDT

EDIT: Sorry guys, but I'm practically dead after my first day at Fan Expo. This means that I'll have to postpone tonight's show. This also means that I will do an additional show next Thursday night, leaving the final show for next Friday night.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Sep 2 2009, 09:02 PM
Alright, here are the plans I have for my show tonight and tommorrow night. I've retained the albums that I was planning on playing last Friday for this week, but the remaining Silver Forest release has been moved to tonight while the other 2 albums, including v5 of J-CORE MASTERZ, will be played Friday night. Also featured this Friday night will be Anim.o.v.e, a remix/cover album by m.o.v.e., the group responsible for most, if not all, the vocal themes for the Initial D anime and game series. Friday will also be my FINAL show. I won't know when I'll be returning for my third season, but I might plan a broadcast sometime during the winter holidays.

Here are the show times:

Thursday: 7PM PDT - 11PM PDT
Friday: 7PM PDT - 11PM PDT

EDIT: Sorry guys, but it turns out that I have to be up early tomorrow, so tonight's show has to be completely scrapped. However, I will, for certain, be on the radio stream tomorrow for my final show of the season.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Sep 6 2009, 08:29 PM
I would like to thank everyone who has tuned in at anytime during my second season on the IDW Radio Stream, and with that, I will see you guys some time during the Winter Holidays. Season 3 will start some time near the end of April, so enjoy the music from the other DJs during my hiatus, especially stuff from DJ Phoenix Wright. Without him, I would never have thought of doing going on air for the community in the first place.

Since Nomake Wan is unable to hold Anime Club tonight, I've decided to go back on air tonight for a Canadian Thanksgiving special. I do have a theme for part of the show, specifically tracks by Canadian artists (This is to make up for the lack of a Canada Day show). I will also pick randomly from any music I've gotten recently. Please do not consider this as the start of my third season. As I've stated more than a month ago, that will start after the end of the current academic year.

Tonight's start time will be approx. 7PM PDT (10PM EDT).

DON'T MISS IT!!

EDIT: Stick a fork in this one, because it's done! See ya guys in December!

To co-incide with the return of Eronight (see the latest annoucement in Nomake Wan's thread for details), I will be hosting a special dedicated to Navel's "SHUFFLE!" series. I'll be including the opening and closing themes to the following:
SHUFFLE! (visual novel and anime)
SHUFFLE! On the Stage (PS2 port)
Tick! Tack!
Really! Really?
SHUFFLE! Essence+ (short version of opening only)

Also included will be the "SHUFFLE! Memories" character song album, plus the insert songs featured in the first 3 games in the series.

Start time will be 8PM PST (11PM EST). Again, stay tuned as I'll explain how the show will proceed in my next post.

Alright, here's what I've planned for the SHUFFLE! special tommorrow night. As I've mentioned, I'll be starting at 8PM PST, giving me three hours of airtime before I switch off for Nomake Wan's eronight on the IDW Video Stream. I'll be doing this in 2 parts. The first 2 hours will be the special, while the last hour will be new music night. Just don't miss it!

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Nov 6 2009, 06:58 AM
I've already completed the playlist, and a new RedAlice album's in the New Music Hour. Depending on how long Volume 8 of Anime Trance BEST is, I may have it replace the RedAlice album. I'll send you a PM either before I head to class or some time this afternoon.

Ladies and gentleman. I am pleased to announce that tonight, along with the SHUFFLE! special, I will be premiering a new release from EXIT TUNES. It is.......

I would like to thank everyone who managed to tune in for the New Year's Day EXIT TRANCE special. For this week, I've got two shows planned for you guys, but I'll hold off on the reveal until tommorrow or the day after so I can go through the Comiket 77 content I received and decide what to play for those 2 shows.

Please keep in mind that these two shows will not only be my last two shows for this month, they'll be last two shows of the season. I will be returning in mid-April for my third season.

Ladies and gentlemen of the forums.

I AM BACK!!

So, my first show of this season will most likely be hosting IDW's 1st Karaoke Kontest.
However, depending on what happens here, I may also do a show on Friday night, to make up for something I forgot to do two years ago.
May 8th of this year is 12 years since the accidental death of X Japan guitarist Hideto Matusomoto. I had originally planned for a 10th anniversary show back when I first started doing radio (May 8th happened to be a Friday back in '08) but I simply forgot. So this friday night, I'll be playing the 3CD version of their last live concert they did as an entire group with hide in late '97. It's going to be 3 hours of non-stop X Japan for Friday night, so please don't miss it either.

Friday: 7:30PM PST - 11PM PST
Saturday (Karaoke Kontest): 11PM PST start time. Length unknown

EDIT: I would like to announce that season 3 will actually begin on Thursday night. I've added it to my list of shows this week, with its start time at 7PM PST.

DON'T MISS IT!!

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 May 11 2010, 07:48 PM
Thank you to all those who tuned in for my shows last week, ESPECIALLY for the X Japan and Karaoke Kontest shows.

This week, the only show I'll be doing will be the results show for the Karaoke Kontest, where I'll announce the results and winners. It'll be at the same time it was last week (11PM PST/2AM EST), SO BE HERE!!

EDIT: Since I won't be doing my thursday/friday shows this weekend, I'm going to do a two-part show this Saturday. The first part will be a regular music show, starting at the usual time of 7PM PST/10PM EST. The karaoke kontest results show will start at 11PM PST/2AM EST

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 May 19 2010, 09:01 PM

Alright, I know that it might seem unusual of me to announce my next set of shows so early in the week, but I have a VERY good reason for this.

Anyway, I discovered yesterday that I'm a mere 4GB away from hitting my monthly 60GB bandwidth limit, so I've basically stopped accepting new release, and have made up my mind for what I'm going to be playing for the two shows. I've also decided, for this week only, to basically halve the lengths of my shows.

Here's a peek at what I have for Thursday.
http://img44.imageshack.us/i/50729504.jpg/http://img59.imageshack.us/i/62842233.jpg/http://img641.imageshack.us/i/gdmlittlebraver.jpg/
Here I have all three of the mini-albums by "Girls Dead Monster" from "Angel Beats!". Now the reason I'm going to be playing all three of these albums in one go is because I'm very sure that there won't be anymore of these minis coming out for the rest of the show's run. I do know that there's a major full-length compilation album consisting of the opening (both the original and the cover by Yui's singing voice), ending, all the GDM tracks, and some more I don't know yet that will be out some time in July, but that's irrelvant right now. Anyway, those who have watched the most recent episode (Episode 10: Good-Bye Days) will know exactly or at least know why I came up with this conclusion. For those who don't know, spoiler for you.
SPOILER

That episode really moved me, so I'll go into more detail when I'm on the air Thursday night.

Anyway..........FRIDAY.

http://img24.imageshack.us/i/86777967.jpg/

This is the mini-album for "Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru II", which came out last week.

Another recent release I have is.......

Volume 8 of EXIT TUNES' Umauma trance series. N1, you're going to love this one, I can guarantee that!

I'll be spreading out these 5 albums between my Thursday and Friday playlists. I've also included some other albums in my backlog of stuff to play.

So after a week's hiatus, I'm back to start the Summer portion of my 3rd season, with two shows this week. However, like the shows from this time last month, they'll be of reduced length due to an incoming bandwidth limit.

Thursday night will be a half-length show featuring the full-length compilation album for the anime "Angel Beats!" that includes alternate versions of existing tracks and all-new ones. There's one more album that'll be kept secret until I announce it during the show.

Friday night will see my debut JAM Project's second original album, as well as a sequel album to one that I played during the eroge specials.

Thursday: 9PM PST - 11PM PST
Friday: 7:45PM PST - 11PM PST

I've recently got a decent setup for this system working and I'm gonna try it for Thursday and Friday night of this week. I'm keeping my playlists secret until then.

SHOWTIMES:
Thurs and Fri: 9PM PST - 11PM PST

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 May 5 2011, 08:34 AM
The school year's done, and that means I'm back on the air! However, I won't be starting my 4th season just yet.

What I will bring tonight and tomorrow night are two shows filled with content from past and present.

The show times for both nights will be 9PM PDT - 11PM PDT, after which I'll switch over for the regular DJs.

DO NOT MISS THIS!!

Just a heads up. Apologies for not doing any shows after that show back in May. I just haven't been in the mood to do so. That's about to change, because for THIS WEEK ONLY, I'll be back with two shows for Thursday and Friday nights. I'll announce more details a few hours before Thursday's show. For now, all I'll reveal are the show times, which are 9PM PST - 11PM PST (Right where Fragger/N1's shows start) on both nights.

EDIT: Slight change of plans. The Friday show will be starting one hour early at 8PM PST.

Well here they are. Let's start with Thursday.

For Friday, we'll be returning to just a few weeks ago, with 3 Touhou Project remix albums that came out in this year's Summer Comiket (C80)

The showtimes have been altered to the following:

Thursday: 9:40PM PST - 11PM PST (12:40AM EST - 2:00AM EST)
Friday: 8PM PST - 11PM PST (11PM EST - 2AM EST)

For those of you who tuned in last week, I mentioned that I wouldn't be doing radio again for a long while. Well, that won't be true until the end of this week. Classes start again for me next week, so this will truly be my last set of shows for the next 3 months or so.

I'm keeping my playlists' contents secret, but here's one album I'll reveal.

This is AERAS, the latest release from IOSYS' side-project, ALBATROSICKS.

The showtimes for both nights will be 8PM PST - 11PM PST (11PM EST - 2AM EST)
I'm requesting additional content from you guys for Friday as I have a hole to fill.

Ladies and Gentlemen of IDW.

I HAVE RETURNED!!

Tonight, I'll be doing yet another one of my radio shows, plus an update of what I've been up to for the past few months.

Tonight's show will start at around 8:30PM PST/11:30PM EST, and will go all the way until DJ Pikachu Fragger's show.

DON'T MISS IT!

Posted by: Meteor Mar 1 2012, 03:17 PM
And I've recently become re-habituated to waking up real late. Yay time zones. I'm probably gonna end up missing this like I already might have with any other recent shows sad.gif

I'll try to see if I can wake up in time. I don't want to miss this.

Super awesome! I'm totally looking forward to tonight now. A change in the radio scene will be nice. Also, will you also be hosting a skype chat room for everyone to be in? Did I also say that I'm excited for tonight's show? awesome.gif

If anyone is reading this can help me, my show is currently stalled because I do not have the settings and/or cannot find the ones needed to connect to the new radio stream.

There are some issues with the server that I'm having. If there is a DJ available tommorrow night, please meet me in the #IDWF IRC channel on the Rizon server at around 7PM PST

I'll grab Don to diagnose your connection tomorrow night.

Posted by: Nomake Wan Mar 8 2012, 03:12 AM
I already got his PM. I've already replied with an initial option to try to fix the problem.

Perry, has the restart script been implemented yet? I'll definitely be online tomorrow night, though, so don't worry about it. I'm NEET so it's not like I have anything better to do. awesome.gif

All the problems I had for the last 2 weeks got ironed out, so my original show plan is now back on track. Again, show time will be 8:00PM-11:00PM PDT this Thursday night.

This time last year, I played on the stream the first 5 albums in xi-on's "Touhou Shisou" series of Touhou Project remix albums (which I referred to in that post as the "Numbered Spell" series because I couldn't read the kanji after Touhou). For the next 2 weeks, I' will be playing the 7 new releases in that series that have come out since that show.

Hey guys, here's an explanation as to why I wasn't on last week.

The radio server went down a few hours before my start time and did not come back on until an hour after. Also, as half of the ex album and the entire 8th album never got played during the show the week before that due to server issues, they've been rolled over for this week.

The show will proceed as normal. If I get the T&L during the show, I'll decide whether or not to stop right there and then or keep going. Anything that doesn't get played tonight will be rolled over to next week.

That interferes with Tessou's plan unless he was only planning on playing for a single hour. His show is at 6 PM PST and had no end time slated. As DJ Phoenix Wright will not be doing a show after me on this particular night, I will be ending at around 11:20PM PDT instead of 11:00PM PDT as usual.

EDIT: Not sure if anyone will see this, but the content from tonight's show has been moved to next week, and likewise, next week's content has been pushed to the week after. My mic has finally given up the ghost and I'm unable to find a replacement before the show starts.

Due to the fact that I already have the contents of my next 2 shows (one next Friday, one the Friday after) set in stone, I will posting the showtimes for them tonight. The content being played on the next 2 shows are the remaining albums in my Ridge Racer series of shows.

May 24: 6:30PM PDT - 11PM PDT
May 31: 7PM PDT-11PM PDT (See latest post for updated time)

I'm reverting back to one show per week because my boss is coming back from vacation tomorrow night and the garage re-opens for business starting the Tuesday of this coming week. (I'm there every day of the work week).

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 May 25 2013, 05:43 PM
I have an announcement. First, the showtime for the May 31st show has now been changed to 6:30PM PDT - 11PM PDT.
Second, there will one more Ridge Racer show on June 7th, also at 6:30PM PDT - 11PM PDT, this time covering the 3 Ridge Racer games that were released after 2010.

Show time for this week's show is back to the usual 7:00PM PDT - 11:00PM PDT. Won't reveal content to be played. You'll have to tune in to find out.

Also, depending on whether or not DJ Phoenix Wright will be doing a show NEXT week, this week's show may be my last one for this month. I will not doing a show on the 28th because I'm giving him my slot so he can start Eronight early, and if he's not on next week, then so am I.

I haven't decided yet on next week's show but as soon as I know, you'll know. I didn't know you were cancelling your show on the 28th though...I just figured you'd end early. sad.gif Thank you either way, however, for the extra time.

Also, please please please please read the pinned thread in this forum about updating your software if you haven't already. I'd like to get all the DJs on the same software so we can really start pinning down some of the radio server bugs. smile.gif

Just a heads up. I have guests over for dinner tonight so I may have to start late. The latest I'll start will be 9PM PDT. Don't worry, I'll still be ending on time at 11PM PDT.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jun 16 2013, 04:29 PM
I've got a showtime for this week's set.

I'll be starting slightly off the usual, at 6:50PM PDT, and ending at the usual 11PM PDT.

Take note that this week's show will be my final show of this month.

EDIT: Please see next post.

Start time has been updated. I'll be starting at 6:30PM PDT for this Friday night's show.

Posted by: HashiriyaR32 Jun 22 2013, 08:51 AM
I'm going to be off the air for the next 2 weeks, because Eronight starts early next week, and because I have to be up early on the 6th of next month for a meetup.

STOP THE FLIPPIN' PRESSES!!

There WILL be a show this Friday night, and it has something to do with the series that is being reviewed on this month's Eronight. Check my next post after 24 hours, where I'll post a definite start time.

To those who tuned into DJ Phoenix Wright's AX2013 re-cap chat last night, I mentioned what I will be playing for this week's show. However, as of right now, I may have different plans for this coming Friday night. Check back in a day or two, as I'll try to make my final decision as to what I will be playing for my next show by then.

Another month's gone by without a show, and I'm back. This week will be sort-of "re-visit" or "continuation" of one of my previous shows.

In case anyone hasn't gotten the note, I did not go through with last Saturday's playlist. That has now been moved to either this Saturday or the one after (check back on Friday for this).

There will be no more shows from me until further notice. Something happened with my Shoutcast client 30 minutes into last week's show that's rendered it unable to connect. I'll try and have the problem identified and fixed before this Saturday if possible.

The problem has been identified and fixed. There WILL be a show Saturday night and I will be playing what I was supposed to play back on the 24th, along with new additions.

Start time will be the usual 7PM PDT.

So..the show for last night will once again be moved. This time, it'll be on the 21st, starting at the usual time. This is because I have something else lined up for the next show on the 14th. It's something I like to call...

On this week's show, I would like to take you back in time to the period of 2003-2007, because as per the title of the show, all these covers are from albums by bands and groups that were my favorites during my high school years, I'd like to share some of my favorite albums by these bands (plus more!).

Do note that the albums here may not necessarily be the ones that will be played on the show, and because of time constraints, nor will all the bands whose works I've included in this post get played, and as I've mentioned, I may add content from bands not listed here that were also on my favorites list during my high school days.

Depending on how this show goes, I may do a second special with the same theme on the 28th.

Start time will be the usual 7PM PDT.
