Probably as an effort to distinguish their ultra-luxury cars from the very capable S-Class, Maybach will be reviving the "Landaulet" bodystyle with the 62S Landaulet.

Having debuted in Dubai last November, an unspecified number (not 20 as initially reported) will be made for the super-rich sheiks, emirs, princes, etc. of the Gulf.

I'm going to say something that goes horribly against my will.

That is one beautiful car.

Augh! there I said it! I hate Maybachs, but this one's got charm.

Now only if Bugatti can release a spiritual succesor to this

I'm not a huge fan of what the Maybach is, but I must say that it looks pretty pimp in white with those tinted taillights.

I just hope NONE of them land in the US....

...cause cars related to some terms, including "pimp", must die...

Unless you let me have one. laugh.gif

But, not bad. Just having it for the backseat seems....awkward? blink.gif

Sunroof? Try No Roof!

hahaha.

I hate luxury car companies. They can make these silly vehicles and people with money buy them.

I don't think this photo spread does the car justice. It looks like a bad 80's Jane Austin themed porn.

I'm personally not opposed to the idea of the Landaulet. What I don't like however is how the roof and whatever mechanism seems to for a large bump in the rear when down. It should be more discreet IMO, although, I give that it does form an extra layer of isolation when the roof is down.

The rear part, when folded down, is probably housing a lot of junk. Just think, they made a whole white leather cover to enclose the entire black folded convertible top when down. That's a decent amount of extra hardware.

translation = land yaught

White with white, that was so obviously going to Dubai! It probably comes loaded with a boot full of colour matched ak47's.

The chauffer will now be known as the skipper...

I want one with a gold plated RPG-7.

Anyway, I've found this cars true predecessor.

The "Grosser Mercedes" 600 Pullman Landaulet.

Rest assured that no U.S. president is going to use a car like this for a public appearance.
