Hamster, you picked first generation Evo, that has front-biased AWD without all those fancy computers that could alter the handling to more oversteer-ish direction. Thus it understeers when it's pushed.

*sigh* I hate to say this but your right Jeremy sad.gif

My only hope is that theres an off road challenge, even then The Stig has a rally car too! ermm2.gif

Personally, I hope that we WON'T dive into the world of dirt, since FR might be slightly handicapped there.. sweatingbullets.gif

And I'd say no to drag-racing as well. besides, James would probably get lost even on drag strip. rolleyes.gif

For us Americans, we NEED an oval track! Beginner circuit reverse. So it's anti-clockwise, like American ovals yet has that chicane on the backstraight. Motegi is a no-no, too large for the disparity in vehicles.

EDIT: FR's on dirt is bloody tops! I say personally, Tahiti Maze. Due to it has the tarmac section as well.

Some of the more technical beginner circuits are far too tight...

If you're any sort of a good driver, you can get around in a respectable time.

True, but the ai drivers tend to push - so u have to take the inside early of the race is tight, and that can slow u down until u get away from the pack...

I decided to give it a try, hopefully you guys don't mind me joining. unsure.gif
After a few minutes of searching in that price range, I ultimately picked up a lovely Vivian Red Impreza WRX STi Version 1, for a mere 9,722.

Results:
Final Placing: 1st
Lap 1: 2:13.381
Lap 2: 2:03.976
Total Time: 4:17.357

Still plenty of time to shave off, perhaps I could give it another go later.

Well, Kurei, that's why you're a stand-in for The Stig.

All right, I've been hearing things from the management, and guess what? There's a high chance we're heading to Laguna Seca- no not a race, but a bumper car frenzy. Managed to get a gist of the next challenge, we have to make the other cars in the track meet fly like shooting hotdogs.

Laguna Seca? My my, but that is one of my favourites! Gotta love the legendary Corkscrew.. if we're going there that is. El Capitan was bit too easy race for me.. but if Suggestions can be made, I have a perfect track in my evil little mind.. And it's Hong Kong!

Yeah, but Hong Kong does not have the ability to make cars go flying about like shooting hotdogs at each other.I've looked into some footage on how they are going to make the next challenge. Some were hilarious, while one was.. well... I didn't like what I was seeing, since the victim was the same RX-7 I was using. Creepy.

That will all be tabulated at the end of the challenges.

Looks like Big Stig is still lost, not able to find a car that can fit in. And.. he's late, to the point the second challenge has arrived! As such, MattSAF will have a three days buffer chance to catch up before I declare him out of the competition.

2nd Challenge

In this challenge, you are to go to Laguna Seca with your cars. Enter Track Meet mode and complete a lap, just to get the stopwatch going. From there, you are to make at least 5 cars, not including yours, flying into the air. That is right, make the other cars in the track fly into the air. The one with the fastest time wins this challenge. Post up pics, if possible as proof that you have done it. A hint to where it is possible to make the cars fly; the section before the corkscrew. Don't be surprised if you... well... find a heavier car than yours go flying into the air. Take the final time after the last, fifth flying car lands. Good luck.

James May: You're kidding me, right? I wonder how the others are reacting right now.

blink.gif I seriously think that the trip to the North Pole finally did mess up his wits. he wants us to ram other cars up into air in the legendary corkscrew that has maimed even professional drivers?

okay, that's it, where's my MP-5? I'm going to make him dance until he changes this idiotic challenge into bit more reasonable direction..

James May: Don't look at me. Look at the Top Gear management. They seemed to be in the armoured Talon. If you want your MP-5 I'm holding it ever since the forgotten BMI challenge.

I click quick reply, and then "more options" or whatever, and it says "post must be longer than 20 characters, please contribute more", yet I wasnt clicking "Add Reply"!! This better not be tracked by mods/admins sad.gif

That aside, this 2nd challenge is INSANE!!!! blink.gif Not to mention how dangerous it is in our old cars sad.gif I dont have airbags for heavens sake!!!! pinch2.gif

I'll give it a go, but I give no garrauntee that your body will be in the same condition it once was if my Evo becomes crippled shifty2.gif

Edit: For those who are confused with my airbags, I broke the sensor that activates them when fiddling with the Lancer one night whistling.gif

Yes, your nice, shiney, black, RX-7. So ehm, keep an eye on that mirror wink2.gif

Is it legal to turn around and smash people head-on in this challenge? I dont see an actual way to make people fly from behind, your never carrying enough speed to make them fly blink.gif
