Give me the cash and ill do it. This thing cost me roughly $300 and I want it on the road for less than $1000.

If I win the lottery then yes, paint it yellow and swap in a H22. But for now its going to stay as stock and reliable as possible, it means I can spend more time on the wagon and not worry about how I am going to get to work.

All you need is a couple hundred bucks in tools and a bunch of time.

Landlord is leaving on vacation for 8 months and is trying to sell her car so I could potentialy have the garage.. If that happens ill be putting some work into this thing. Thinking fixing the rust, pulling the d16 to replace all seals/gaskets. Vinyl wrap yellow like the Spoon EG6? This post has been edited by Lonely_Driver on Aug 22 2014, 11:33 AM |

But then you'll also want to swap out the front axles too. I've always wanted a Honda project car... an EG6/EK9 with a B16/B18 swap.

IDW Goldmember Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,110 Member No.: 22,465 Joined: Dec 17th 2006 Location: Japan | I would suggest painting it for real. And an H22 would be overkill... an 1.8 would be enough if you get the weight down. |

I've done too much painting over the past couple years, want to get some vinyl wrapping experience under my belt. H22's can be had for much cheaper then b18 swaps here in Canada. Still working out the details for now.

Being drivable makes a difference between a $500 car and a $1000 car. |

IDW Supremo Member Group: Advanced Members Posts: 870 Member No.: 38,019 Joined: Oct 24th 2011 Location: Update Profile | Thanks. There is some pretty bad quarter rust on it. Planning to buy some ebay repair panels and bond them on. Going to see if I can do everything without welding to give hope to everyone on a tight budget.
