It seems as if I can't transfer my offline ID6 card to ID7 either. (JP version)

I was hoping I could, but whenever I put any ID6 card in, it just spits it back out with an error.

Were they both JP versions? JP 6AA/7AAX as far as I know EXP 6 to 7 worked with unlimited transfers and gave you points to start with.

Yeah, I upgraded my machine which was running JP ID6 1.2 to ID7 1.0

I can take a picture of the error message it gives when you insert an ID6 card tomorrow.

On a related note, ID7 feels sloooooooooooow compared to 6. sad.gif

Probably, but personally I find it to be a lot funnier since you're not forced to drift along and lining is more important. Still there's a huge sense of speed in the game even if your times are slower.

Speaking of which, what tuning is your car? That's a very important question when judging the physics of the game since the game throws a total 180 revamp at you at around the last box of Spec 4. Prior to that the physics are very boring. Some players (myself included) have even gotten slower at first after the change since we've gotten so used to the low spec physics when we played it the first time. After this point, your car will stop losing speed whenever you turn the wheel and you'll need to be a lot more reactive to tackle corners.

D7 was designed to be very accessible to beginners, at least that's what the pre-release advertisement says. I'm guessing that's why the physics were like that at the lower specs. The later physics can be pretty challenging.

I'm only 2 boxes into spec 4 right now, but yeah it's been a grind.

I hate that you only get 450 points per race whether you do Story or Time Trials. (You got 900 for every story battle in ID6)

You do get 900 for Tag Battle though, which is good.

I think the price of parts have but made a little bit cheaper but you're right. D7 seems to be designed to encourage tagging more than either D6 or D8. You can also no longer earn avatar parts through single online like D6. You also earn a lot more blue bar points.

Don't worry, the physics would get better. Whether you like it more than D6 is another matter but it will be more faster than challenging than what you have now.

It feels faster though, even if it's not. I feel like I naturally get a boost compared to having to earn boost in D6 via gold drifting.

Currently 2 upgrades away from completing Spec 4. We're getting there! I'll reserve judgment on if I prefer 7 to 6 until I actually full tune my car, but I can at least say the game is fun now.

This is the error message I get when I try to transfer my ID6 card, btw.
