It was not as bad as it looked. The hood (and hood latch assembly), front bumper, radiator and driver side front fender were replaced. No airbags went off.

So when are you going to take me out for a spin in your S2000 Fast? I mean my hometown is literally right next to yours if memory serves me right. Although I don't really go home anymore because I'm so busy...

You have to tell me about the next time you're planning to go to a CnC so we can meet up and stuff! happy.gif

I might actually go this week. If you go, I recommend getting there around 6.

Looks like you went for the AP2 front end conversion while getting your car fixed. Nice. Any plans to do the rear bumper conversion too?

I have no plans to get an AP2 rear bumper. Unless I get rear-ended, which I hope won't happen. *knocks on wood*.

I'm probably going to get wheels/tires next. If I decide to keep the car longer, I ultimately want to turbocharge it.

Ah, ok. Let's hope you don't get into another accident because that would suck.

Any idea what wheels and tires you're going to look at?

I'm probably going to run a daily-able HPS tire like the Bridgestone RE760. As for wheels, I'm most likely going to hop on the RPF1 bandwagon. Or maybe some second-hand Prodrives or Volks.

My dad and I changed the oil in the cars today! It was muggy as hell outside but somehow we managed to do it without dying. Which is always good. happy.gif

Been shopping around for tires that I'll be getting for the Mazda sometime in the coming months. Does anyone have an opinion on the Hankook Ventus S1?

And by that you mean he changed the oil while you took a photo of him changing the oil and posted it to Facebook and IDW while calling it 'helping' or 'moral support'. troll.gif

You are not alone, Ned. I felt awful when my baby MR2 got smacked. I still feel awful about it. Nothing can ever truly replace something you put a lot of time, money, and sweat into. I like the Tiburon I bought with the insurance check, but I don't love it.

On the bright side, your insurance company gave you a nice check for it, right? Could that money go into repairing it, or have you decided to dash that idea?

Name's Ed, btw.
And nooope. Nothing. I literally JUST lost the car lol.

No! I really did get under the car to take off the filters and everything! Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean that you have to stereotype me with all the other girls who paint their nails and wear sparkly dresses and crap.

I actually replaced the oil filters and stuff with my dad's help ok? He checked everything and tightened them. Don't believe me? Fine. I don't have to impress you anyway. tongue.gif

Not my car, but reference picture.

Just picked up a 2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI (Base, 6 speed manual) and there's a 1-2 month wait. Well worth it...
But as of now, I am not driving. Hopefully I should be soon.

Good freaking choice! Such an underrated car. I drove the outgoing Golf TDI and was very impressed, the torque makes all the difference. That 45 mpg is just insane, a very usable car for long commutes.

I drove the new GTI and I was even more impressed, just such a fun car in a little package. It genuinely made me wonder why I was paying so much for my car, because I could have 90% the fun for almost 50% the cost...

I didn't know the new generation had a wait list... did you custom order one?

Man, I'm not gonna lie. That is a really sweet car, and the updated styling looks fresh while maintaining the previous' looks. Cheers to gas mileage.

Here in Canada, it is VW's smallest market (out of first world countries). People have been picking up MKVII Golfs like crazy, it's insane. I could have left the dealership with a TSI but I wanted a TDI + manual. TDI's are selling like hotcakes biggrin.gif

Oh and I'm driving now, I bled all the air out of my Honda Accord's brake lines. lol rolleyes.gif

I'm glad VW finally moved away from it's 2.5 engine. Great choice, in both car and in going for the TDI. Among the new cars on the market now in the 20k range, a Golf TSI would be one of my top choices.

The TSI is a great motor, just stay away from the FSI, I can still smell the burned oil when I step out of the car. laugh.gif

Speaking of, I need to change the oil and have the DSG fluid changed. Stupid fluids, only thing I have to put money into this for.

Ed, seriously, awesome choice. The Mk7s are SUPER impressive and I'd love to pick one up myself. The new GTI will trap like 114mph in the 1/4 with nothing but a reflash, it's nuts. My old VIII trapped 117 at best, and that was a low 11 second car. VW is really stepping their game up and it's exciting due to their wonderful affordability. So, now the important question... What color? Night Blue as pictured?
