Posted by: Nai Aug 6 2004, 09:22 PM |
For me i do it for both a and b. Usually i do it when i'm winning a race pretty badly, and to just memorize the course. Sometimes, just practise it for fun and see how good my skills are on a certain map. Plz reply once u vote. |

i like to show im better so i turnem off but then i lose so i try not to. i cant really blind attack anyway cause my cars are yellow |

My skill is no where near doing blind attack, but I guess it could be quite fun. By the way, Nai, your signature is too big, please resize it or remove it A.S.A.P., click on my sig for forum guidelines. |

i do it for fun and to test out my skills and of course i have beaten my friend many times doing the blind attack on him . And also beating Bunta on Bunta challenge in myogi with my headlights off for the whole race..and i still beat him! |
Posted by: Nai Aug 6 2004, 09:31 PM |
well it is myogi, and btw i'll change my sig rite now. |

dude, i think you have way too many options in this poll well as for akagi UH i do it becuz i practically take the line and memorized that map already... AKAGI UH IS THE BEST map ever!!! ~ btw... welcome to IDW Nai |

lol i do it for fun and for skill testing...nothin like seein the whole side of your car slam against the wall...lol...it is fun nonetheless...if you got the track memorized... |
Posted by: Jason_H. Aug 7 2004, 08:57 AM |
I turn them off just as we enter a hairpin. More often than not, their concentration will be on taking the line NOT into the wall, and not on where I'm going to pass. Its effect diminishes if you are leading, but its uses remain. |

I do it mainly because if I am trailing it gives me advantage since my car is black and to memorize maps |

If by blind attak you mean paying a blind guy with a big walking stick to swing it wildly in their direction: yes.... I used to do it if i was behind but at my arcade you cant really, the brightness is so low on it, if your turn the lights off your screen goes B*tch black-all you can see is a dim white thing in front if your on their ass (you cant even really see their brake lights) it sucks |

blind attack r fun. |
Posted by: Pen^2 Aug 7 2004, 02:01 PM |
I only do blind attack just for fun, but I never do that anymore beside on Usui and Akagi after I realized that my opponents can still see me in their mirror even if turned off my lights on Akina and Iro, not sure about Myogi and Happo tho. But if I battle seriously I always concetrate hard and no time to put my finger on the start button. |
Posted by: Jin Aug 8 2004, 02:35 AM |
yes, blind attacking is fun to do especially when noobs are watching ^^ |
Posted by: atomicracer33 Aug 9 2004, 03:13 PM |
yeah i do it for fun and memorizing the track. i believe it helps out alot. i usually dont do it when i battle unless im in the lead by a big margin. now the paper cup is a different story i really dont like it cause it brakes my concentration. |

IMO i think blind attack is pretty much pointless even if u have a black car with regular headlights and its still pointless with a car with flip ups with a black body or hood cause you can still see the car |
Posted by: xkhol Aug 10 2004, 05:06 PM |
i don't bother with blind attack, if i'm behind and they're blocking me, i'll just mess with their head and not try to hide(cuz most people can see a huge dark thing coming up at them fast...) |
Posted by: GT3 Aug 11 2004, 04:48 PM |
^^^^^^^^^they can also see ur shiny ass trueno symbol. hahahahaha |
Posted by: Asaki Aug 12 2004, 06:30 PM |
None of the above. I use blind attack for battling against good blockers in my Cappuccino. However, it depends on the machine's gamma setting. If the gamma setting is high then I turn off lights off the start line since I'm guaranteed to lose the startup. If the gamma setting is low then I keep the lights on until I get close enough then I turn off my lights and run with the stuff I see from my opponent's headlights. |

I only do it when I play my friends because I almost always lose using the blind attack, still fun though. |
Posted by: Zangetsu Aug 14 2004, 09:41 PM |
i did it wen I wuzz racing Kai Kogishiwa pardon mi sucki spelling we both had our headlights off and I won by around 10 meters |
Posted by: Takumi Fugiwara Mar 10 2006, 02:24 PM |
i do it to ppl when im about to lose it puts them off and i always win |
Posted by: Möbius Mar 11 2006, 08:21 PM |
Thread necromancy! >_< This really depends on the brightness of the cabs' screens... |
Posted by: Takumi Fugiwara Apr 9 2006, 10:48 PM |
i did it once to my friend he had a r34 and i had a trueno we raced on akagi wet downhill i was losing by 200m so i turned off my lights i started catching up then he turns to me and says "ur nowhere near me buddy" im like "u sure about that" he says "yeah" i still had my lights off till we were side by side then i turn them on his like "no way" i passed him and he crashed into the wall and i won. |
Posted by: trudrft May 25 2006, 05:41 PM |
i do it just to test myself on the courses..... |
Posted by: Sickness Jun 6 2006, 12:59 PM |
Blind Attack is useless (unless your opponent is stupid or blind) because most machines have the brightness turned up but its still fun to do it anyway. |
Posted by: Takumi Fugiwara Jun 11 2006, 05:43 PM |
yeah it still works for me when im using my trueno never lost by doing it b4. |
Posted by: Harley Jul 10 2006, 02:52 PM |
I only do blind attack when im board and when im winning by a lot or easily so they can have a chance. |
Posted by: imprezagc8 Jul 10 2006, 04:21 PM |

Posted by: chaos_bringer_1 Jul 10 2006, 06:31 PM |

true |
Posted by: Takumi Fugiwara Jul 11 2006, 07:41 PM |
y because u guys cant see and u mess up |
Posted by: chaos_bringer_1 Jul 11 2006, 07:57 PM |
no, it just kinda gets repetitive. you can clearly see where the corners are, and its more fun with lights. only use it if racing against a cpu |
Posted by: APX Jul 11 2006, 08:28 PM
Someone needs glasses |
Posted by: Takumi Fugiwara Jul 12 2006, 02:39 PM
not if both u and ur oppenent has lights off then its more fun
for ur infomation i can see the road if i turn my lights off. unless the someone needs glasses remark wasnt suppose to be for me |
Posted by: jdUb4 Jul 13 2006, 06:15 AM |
Only for fun, other than that...I don't bother with blind attacks... |
Posted by: AmazingDKO Jul 31 2006, 08:49 PM |

Posted by: zambierchin Apr 23 2008, 01:05 AM |
i do the blind attack when i time attack usui clockwise wet. Im using a rx-7 battle level 20. Usui is my best map. and i love to just not blind attack but blindly challenge the map. I havent use this technique unto anyone in my arcade before because i'm kinda the fastest in usui wet. soo.. there is no point. I do blind attack/blind challenge unto myself very frequent. My opinion once again. You might think diffrently. Who knows? |

Posted by: LaLaLa Jul 5 2009, 06:09 AM
You just revived a 4 year old ( about to be 5 years old thread) O.O The last reply was one year ago, but that still counts. To turn off the headlights hold start. |

Your post is equally useless and considered as spam. At least answer his question so you've contributed while telling him off. @Sappo: Just hold the start button |

whoa thanks! I'm gonna try it as soon as I go to the arcade.. |
