Pop in mazadaspeed wheels and head to akina lake and my top speed is 191
Pop in Yokohama Advan Racing gold spokes and the top speed is 196

Both tests were at the same area after the checkpoint at lap2....anyone had any other simillar experiences?

Somehow, I can't figure out the connection between rims and top speed...

It's the lining, and if you're taking those linings like when you're playing Myogi back in v3, you will suffer massive speed loss... Only 1km/h loss and that makes lots of difference since it's straights...

Go and FT your RX-8 more, especially the ECU part and it will be another story to tell. And for heaven sake, Bore Up your engine. That make lots of difference too.

Slightly OT side,
The only reason why the Evo9 is the fastest in Akina Lake CCW is because of the 5th gear- maxed out at 191km/h while others rest at 190km/h.
Ridiculous...

@U2-
That car totally pawns everyone in most course due to its sheer body size...especially in Irohazaka..dont have to focus too much on blocking ur opponents as it is big enough already to block on its own.

This is just from my personal experience. if u find something wrong or have experienced something different plz tell me.
GTR34
Pros:
aweosme aceleration
good top speed
good start up
it really shines in 5th gear. really high acel and speed
if used corectly its huge body.
it is a competitor on just about every course.

Cons:
4th gear not so good.
its huge body
hard to control on wet

Is GTR34 all courses(also rain) and has understeer or not?

i got an evo 9.

i really suggest you do up the engine max, coz its engine is a piece of shit,
i always gets over taken at start ups by any car, and my engine is stage 5 gets hammer by stock altezza, grrr, but the handling is a beaut!

r32

PROS

1.) fast in accelerating
2.)easy to handle in wet weather (in my opinion though)
3.)nice design car

CONS

1.)not really nice to use on akina though i love that map most
2.)have to get use to it then you can unleash the true strength of the car

if u only upgrade 1 aspect out of 5 it wont go very well. it wont be equal at all.

Since I'm using the Sileighty as well, I'm going to add a little supplement to your findings with my own.

Current status is [2-2-2-2-2]

~Speed recovery is average.
~No BOV "psssh" sound when you accel off or PC.
~Despite the heavy steering, it's very easy to oversteer if you muscle it too much.

In all words, just like V3. So previous Altezza owner will know what to expect. Except that this time around the Altezza have improved (significantly) top speed. cool.gif

Also I have no idea why you said the parts make it look like an Evo and understeers a lot. You must have meant oversteer. And I love how Altezza corners in Iro.

Thanks to MomoChan for the GDBF preview. Looks like all cars for my first card will have a major weakness in wet tracks. Oh how I hated wet in V3. Good old times. fear2.gif

sorry, my bad, ya, oversteering.

Those part just like image your proton wira try to make it looks like lancer(get wat i mean?), so i only use TRD parts, but a bit looks like imprezza i dont mind whistling.gif .

No, it's no joke. They really did axe the ER34 in IDAS4, along with several other cars.

...Wow. What else did they kill?

Suddenly, I'm not looking forward to playing V4... v.v

Off the top of my head:

-RX7 Spirit R
-MR-S
-GDB (although they did put in a GDBF)
-Evo V-VII (but they did put in an Evo IX)
-NB8C Miata
-S14K
-Impreza Version VI (but Bunta's GC8 Version V is now available without needing to enter a code though)

I recommend you try the game though. You might find it fun despite the changes to the car line up. smile.gif

They still have R34 tho wink2.gif
They also almost kill Altezza, RX-8, and Miata, luckily those cars are available in the international version.

Btw just tried Altezza, like everybody said, the acceleration was crazy, but the handling... errr... well need to practice more with this car happy.gif

I have to agree on this one.

Evo IX

Pros:
- Ridiculously good handling.
- Very easy to drive.

Cons:
- Pathetic start-up for a 6-speed car (race 1 in Akina Lake... Itsuki will leave you behind by ~120m).

FD3S: If you don't know the basics of the game, you won't get very far with this car. I've seen fulltuned FDs run times that make me cry. For the car.

Cappucino: HOLY SHIT THE MOST FUN CAR TO DRIVE EVAR! I beat a tuned Evo 9 with a stock Capp on Tsukuba IB running a 2:55:xxx wtf. But 4th gear is 1km lower than the rest and 5th gear sucks ass so bad. No wonder it pawns Iro...who shifts to 5th gear there?
