cable and dsl both have their flaws.
drawback for cable: if there are many people around you that have cable modem, you're internet will be very slow. my friend lives in a populated area where alotta people have cable modem, and sometimes its as slow as 56k. also requires you to rent/buy cable modem(usually extra $4 a month if renting, $100 for a cable modem, you can find some on sale for as low as $50) you do get free cable tv usually.cable not available everywhere, duno if dsl is tho

easy to make a home network(i think that's also a + for dsl as well, but im not too sure)

DSL flaw: if you are far from you're isp, you're going to be slow. the farther you are, the slower you are. it does use phone line, but not like how 56k does.(right??)

hmm, for as much as t1,t2,t3 costs i'd rather go with t3, because aren't all over $1,000 a month?? we have t1 at our school, but it's shared with the WHOLE hs and admin building, so it's a tad faster than dial-up, but at least it's reliable.i also didn't see satelite up there for one of the choices. satelite is a choice for those who don't have cable or dsl available to them, it's almost as fast as cable, but i think costs twice as much because, well, it's satelite! dont kno full details, i kno there's alot of mistakes up there, so someone correct me

t1,t2,t3 .... they are like big business/school internet . i think either pick dsl or cable would be good enough. if one person use a T3. haha thats hella waste of money. oh well i think cable and dsl both awesome for personal use.
