I'm not to hopeful of an English or US version. I just don't want my ID5 card to go to waste. |

I never known the Japanese to be petty in nature. It's probably a case of uncooperative management.

No worries, no offence taken. Perhaps, so, but AT THE VERY LEAST .. you guys do have ID5 (even though it's not v2.0) so that's still not so bad .. and no matter how joking one may be, putting oneself down isn't really going to help matters. Lols.

Hmmm most probably the cards are transferable cause ours is japan version, however all countries get their hand on it, I doubt so. Mainly this location test are testing online battles. Similarly ID5 location test for TA. Depends on the country broadband capabilities. Anyway IDAA6 will release in 2011. We guess that 3-6months release.

My Double Aces + Rising Stars Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,587 Member No.: 5,284 Joined: Jan 28th 2005 Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | If they keep the card system even though they are using Ringedge instead of Lindbergh for V6AA, then I don't see a problem why there can't be transfers. I think it's possible for every country to get ID6 machines provided the arcade is willing to bring it in. Whether of course the arcade or Sega will bring online in that's another matter. Reading is magic! Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,601 Member No.: 30,700 Joined: Sep 24th 2008 Location: Philippines | If they use a different engine, then won't that complicate the transfer of data? Japan could do their 4-5 transfers fine because it was the same engine used for something else. The base build is there, so the data can just be copied and pasted. I'm getting a vibe that cross-engine transfers will be like trying to play an Xbox game on a PS2. |

My Double Aces + Rising Stars Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,587 Member No.: 5,284 Joined: Jan 28th 2005 Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | I personally thought V3 to V4 transfers were not done because they were changing the card system from the thin one to the IC card we use today. That and they did change the tuning system. So if V6 is also using IC card, and the tuning system is not changed I don't see why cross-engine is impossible. Unless of course Sega doesn't even try. |

Not Without Incident Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,803 Member No.: 22,878 Joined: Jan 18th 2007 Location: Someplace very violent... | Yeah but thats what happened from V4 to V5. Even though they used IC cards, they were not transferable. Honestly, I dont give a flying f*ck if they are transferable or not. Im willing to start from scratch. What I DO give a f*ck with is if they will finally end this exclusivity towards anything other than Japan and Hong Kong. Why dont they ship out just one machine for every country? Or if that just CANT be done, make an international version which is JUST a translated version of the japanese version. Makes their lives easier as well. And they have to get the western countries some love here as well. Make it more eye-catching for the arcade owners. #1 ---> SCREW ONLINE. |

I always thought that was the non-transfer of English V4 > V5 EXP1.0 due to language differences since V4 > V5 for the Japanese worked fine...although yes, I will definitely say that Sega could (and should) have done something about that one.
