here is the wangan midnight manga vol. 1-3 RAW...after hearing and seeing so much about wangan midnight stuff i got curious and stumbled across this and i thought i share the findings.....credit goes to deadfrog torrents forum.

cool stuff,the are only japanese texts thow but thats ok.

They require renaming to be opened if you're not running XP.. I'm running windows 2000.. lucky me, I get to rename 600 files.

i heard this game is supposely great but its suppose to be coming at my arcade in MI in a couple days or so.

^the game's not THAT great. it has it's moments and all (drifting at 200mph), but the gameplay gets extrememly repetitive. i only like it better that AS because it's not as overrated

i dont believe that there was...

i heard there where talks about an anime being made but it never came to light. i heard mixed things about the reason why though. One reason i heard was that initial d totally eclipsed it in popularity and that was reason enough for not backing it. Another reason was that initial d and a wangan midnight anime where going to be done together by the same company but with the rising cost of doing 4th stage, they decided to cut wangan midnight out. Another reason i heard was that because the backdrop of wangan midnight is on the highway, it would cause too many fans to go out and street race on the highway (which is way more difficult to moniter than the touge...the touge is already equipped with tons of speed bumps in the high drift corners and are all equipped with cameras which will automatically send cops your way if you are seen racing). As outrageous as the last reason was, it was the same reason they pulled the shuto kousoku (shuto expressway) movies but that was a live action movie and not anime.

Well if someone can get a translator going I can do the edits (i.e. fixing up the scans and inserting the text)

An anime was never done for wangan midnight, due to licencing issues. It'll cost a fortune for any Avex or anyone else to licence the rights to Porsche (For Tatsuya Shima's Blackbird) and Ferrari (For Reina's manager's Ferrari Tettarosa)
