QUOTE (icedagger @ Yesterday at 9:00 AM)
You can't block Bunta off the line after 7 stars. His start up is too fast. You have to pass him somewhere on the course, usually at the jumps.

But i DID.... blink.gif

Even If your car is full tuned you cant block him? Mine ISNT and I found myself still capable of staying ahead. I was talking about the final straight portion, not the start anyway.

Maybe I used the shift points right? ermm2.gif

Not on Iro, I think.I have an NB8C and I kind of remember not being able to get ahead of 8 star Bunta at start up. You have to pass him somewhere on the course to win (usually on the jumps because that's the easiest place to squeeze past)

reminds me of the last time i tried to block 10 star bunta on iro with the GC8V... looking back i was thinking if only i just let him go, maybe i wouldn't have screwed my start-up that much...

...i don't know, i could have won that run as well (epic fail by reversing myself at the last jump) and proceeded to akina to complete the goal of having 10 stars in all courses...

GC8V, AE86 Trueno, R32, E4, RX8, FD and ER34 ...these cars can do full stars 15 for all tracks...cause bunta only play dry in bunta challenge, didn't play wet...

Slightly off-topic but it was being discussed earlier...is your tuning dependent only on the points your car has, or does it keep getting serviced every once in a while and upgraded until you hit around 990k?

^ when you reach basic tune (120k points), your car gets internal upgrades at 15k intervals (135k, 150k, and so on), until your car is FT'd at 990k points...

==================

for the first two points below, unless there's a vid lurking out there somewhere to prove everyone wrong, i believe that...
--GC8V, trueno, and 32 can't do 15 on iro
--ER34 will be next to impossible on akina snow at 15 stars

although there's a vid for this, but it's still a pretty safe point to make...
--trueno will be really difficult on tsuchi. at 15 stars

As brian_infinispirit said: Iro 15 stars is impossible with half the cars you just mentioned, and 15 stars on Tsuchi with the Trueno is going to be hard.

Huh.
Myogi Bunta seems to always gain immediate lag once you enter and exit the grand curve with 1-2kph speed loss. You really only have to block 7 stars up, and even then after you clear the curve the first time he never really rides on your rear anymore.

So about his lining, I notice he does'nt take the IN-line all of the time. If I just ignored him there and took the faster line, would he STILL pass me, or would we be dead even?
I'm just starting on 8 star. Messed around with Bunta on Myogi today for kicks.

I'm afraid of what the GC8V might be like. I know the Trueno's startup NOW is pansybutter >.<

He would probably still pass you, but blocking him at Myogi is pretty easy compared to, say, Akagi. Blocking his start dash is the only challenging part, after that it's easy cuz his top speed is only gonna be a few kph above yours.

With the better cars, there's really no need to block Bunta on Myogi. Just take a good and clean line and he won't catch up.

This doesn't hold true for the cars that have crap accel on Myogi though. tongue.gif

well, ER34 on 15th star bunta depends on your skills
i already reached 15th star in akina snow.
the only i can't reach is akagi and iro....but i know, ER34 can finishes these places 15th star...iro 15th star bunta can find in youtube, and if ER34 can do 15th star iro, akagi sure can....
there are videos up using 8v, 86Trueno and even R32 doing times beyond reach of bunta.....like R32 does 2.58 pr 2.59 in TA, and 86 trueno in tsuchi 15th star as well
i know, cause almost every day i watch these videos, to learn bunta lines...but, just seems can't memorize akagi line.....
and i can say that ER34 might sucks at akina snow, but not exactly no one can made it to 15th star....i can...need practices....

well, if you don't believe, i ask me for e-mails, i might take some times to post on my video show my bunta stars.....
they might seems impossible, but they're....get use to that car, and use it to the maximum limit that you can master it....bunta won't be a thing that you need to worry, of course, you need know which line bunta use, to ease the game....

Hmm...

IIRC 15 star Bunta runs 2'57 on Iro DH D, so you'd have to be capable of breaking the model record for the Trueno, GC8V, R32 to get all the stars on Iro with those cars..

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong? unsure.gif

Technically you don't have to PULL a 57, you have to be good, but as long as you pass him at the jumps and ride Bunta the rest of the way you'll beat him and probably most MR's
