Ive noticed that when you complete a course in LOTS you will get its name and some racing lvls (the stars) printed on your card. Ive completed myogi, usui, akina and akagi but ive only myogi and usui printed on the card. And only one racing lvl. Is it supposed to be this way? Why isnt akina/akagi printed on the card? Maybe the machine ran outta ink?

IIRC, one of the pros here mentioned that IDAS3 machines don't use ink, and certain spots on the card darken when you apply heat to them. Most likely the machine's "printer" is broken.

To fix this, just inspect your card on a machine with a working printer. The new card should have all your stars and course stamps. happy.gif b

Pro here.
Card readers don't use ink, it uses heat. Thus, if you hold a lighter to your card, it will turn black. (That's holding it away so it doesn't burn, it's not black from that) As evidence of this, wangan cards work in the opposite way, if you hold a lighter to them, the printing will disappear and go clear.

To make the card reader start printing again, you need to obtain a cleaning card and insert it the next time the machine starts up.

To print the stamps and stars, it's like icedagger said, you have to wait for an inspection.

So wait; you can hold it up to a heat source and it'll still read?

That''s how the printer works, IIRC.

It's heat that makes the ink visible.
