Well, they're both Civics, and I've never seen any EK9 IRL before. So for me, the easiest way to figure out which one is which is the Type-R's red logo.

And besides, even though Shingo's is SiR, the one I've seen didn't have the red logo on it, so I figured it was an EG6 (and it was older looking too, compared to the EK9..).

Lucky you who has ever seen the two together and could tell out the difference easily..

They are very, very different cars.

It's so easy to tell the different just by the outside. You don't need to worry about stickers.

My dad owned a Civic once a long long time ago. The EG6 really reminds me of it a bit, except his wasn't hatchback and was white/silver. Don't know which Civic exactly.

Driven or ridden in all the initial D and Wangan Midnight cars at one point or another (Not very far in some cases but still got to be in it). Own an older GT-R chassis. Working a valet shift once a week doesn't hurt either. Even driving things around a parking lot helps remind me why there are some cars that look like they'd be daily driveable/ practical but are actually quite uncomfortable.

Anyway, regardless of which Civic is which, I believe I just saw an older-model Supra (the one with the pop up headlamps?) with a small logo/sticker on the side when I went home from the Mall!

Too bad I didn't have my camera ready..

Just saw a blue BNR34 yesterday.. the round backlights is way to cool.. too bad it was parked and cant see it in action..

What do you all think when you see cars like the S2000 and FD as Automatics?

I flinch at the thought of such a potentially powerful and beautiful car being limited as show cars. :/

Usually those kind of cars, if auto, do have some sort of an override (tiptronic / paddle shift / shifttronic etc) for those 'speed' moments. So its not really limited at all.

Besides, you avoid the leg cramps if you're stuck in a jam

True; but IIRC, Automatics that use Torque Converters to shift gears lose power since it slips to allow the engine to continue idling at lower revs.

Unless they're dual clutch transmissions, which I still don't like but still respect.

It depends on the priorities of the buyer I guess?

If the driver only uses the car for town driving, the temptation of the automatic transmission is a strong force..

There was an exhibition on the mall i went to play in, and i noticed a Z-car (not sure if it's 350Z or 370Z) amongst the Porsches, Astons, and Ferarris.

And my eyes won't budge from that little beaut, even though there's 2 911 descendants nearby. Damn you WMMT and IDAS

I have to agree with this, it really depends on what the buyer wants I guess. Some people like myself are too lazy to work a clutch but then again I'm not really a racer so to speak though I enjoy the occasional zip though a straight line occasionally. Although if the car can shift without releasing the gas then its probably not too bad.

Or, one can just get a Lan Evo X if one has the money............
