So here goes: Post any course related questions here. No flaming of newbies will be tolerated. Do not post fake times or lie about entry/exit speeds. I guess I'll start: --- So, after getting smoked pretty badly on Happo online, I figured it was time to learn the how to do the course properly. I think I've gotten the basic idea of how to run the course, but I need help in a couple of spots. Namely: -How do you take that hairpin after the end of CP2 outbound? It seems that no matter how long I brake for it I always end up oversteering. -What are the brake points for the CP4 outbound consecs? |

[That really works.] You should copy and paste the post and have it quoted in your first post. That way newcomers and people who have already been at it can come in and learn from each other. Instead of looking through a-lot of pages and I'm sure this thread will have a-lot. |

There's turns everywhere, and I can't seem to go fast after turning, even after breaking properly. It seems that I always stay on the 3rd gear because of the turns, I might shift to the 4th occasionally but there's so much turns that I stay on the 3rd. I play with the toyota corolla levin SR, with all internal upgrades checked. Can anyone help? |

get used to turning really hard into each hairpin to spin your car around 180 degrees while negotiating each turn. once you've got all of the "ordinary" hairpins down pat, work on perfecting the drops in the third section -- executed the same way, but much quicker in succession. i downshift to 2nd for the entirety of the drops. unfortunately for us, the trueno and levin are not exactly the best cars for this course :-( when i manage to get a good run in on iro, i'm typically upshifting to 4th for a good 1-2 seconds prior to downshifting for each hairpin. try to get to this point; where you can afford to upshift for extra speed beforehand. if you can't redline the engine before each turn, you're losing too much ground (too much braking) and/or hitting too many walls too often. Unless you're using a 6 gear car. Just tap the brakes lightly and take an in-in-out line. The best way to run Iro is to wall-rape the inside of each turn such that you don't lose too much speed or hit the outside wall on exit. For reference, watch Takeshi Nakazato's vids. Keep on watching battle videos from version 4 and extreme stage. Look at the gears and go into time attack and figure out how to take the corner just like they did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whkRj4Wj8kc&feature=channel Ok, they took that sharp right turn of dead.. without shifting down.. now im just thinking to myself..... DAH???????..... lol.. i wonder if my evo IV or sileighty can do that. The best driving during a battle I've done was on my joke around profile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhKn95mD8M4&feature=related Tsukuba[Watch in high quality] This post has been edited by TB_InuYasha_X on Dec 29 2008, 09:29 AM |

That depends on the course I think. IDAS4 precise steering makes it easier to get faster exit speeds and take a better line IMO. Of course with IDES you can just play it over and over as much as you want, so it's not that big of an issue.

Maybe the levin is'nt meant for this course, lol. I almost beat the game, I'm at that "final boss" at the final course driving the yellow civic. Damn that guy is tough. Any help? lol |

Levin is great. You crazy? Unless you're talking about the AE85. If so, CHANGE! And yes. I wall ride like crazy on Happo at the end. And for some reason, I do WAY better on controller than with my wheel. Weird.
