Best reaction ever.

I have to also say, Horizon Zero Dawn really impressed me. It's good to see such a new IP.

Whoa, that is quite a reaction... I didn't have that sort of reaction when I heard the news of the FF VII remake.

That Horizon game is the one with the robot dinosaurs right? That game looks mighty sick. In one day Sony has pretty much convinced me of my need of a PS4 for the near future.

VIII was okay but the plot became too disjointed midway through. VI still has the best plot and I pick V for overall gameplay.

The Last Guardian, FFVII Remake, Shenmue III, Horizon (honorable mention). Sony basically broke the internet. I echo what was said above. I'm definitely picking up a PS4 after this news.

I'm checking out the Square Enix portion and they showed off the new Tomb Raider game and it looks pretty neat too, especially the bits about how the environment affects Lara's appearance, for example if she is out in the snow then snow will accumulated on her coat, pretty cool IMHO.

I'm watching everybody's conference even though I wasn't planning to be invested in much besides Bethesda and Microsoft. MGSV and Deus Ex are looking really, really good. There's not much I can say other than that I was impressed with them.

FFVII Remake is interesting, but as it's just a trailer for now, I can't really tell if it will be worth the time. I need to know what it plays like, as in, will the game just be given a facelift, or if it will change to be more like recent titles. Do I gain skills and limit breaks through a Sphere Grid, or is it going to be as linear as it was in vanilla VII? Are battles still random and "traditional" RPG, or will they happen in real time with free movement? Making a new title and slapping the VII logo and characters on it is a possibility that concerns me. The lack of a release date, even just the year, is also a bit alarming. Remember how XV was originally Versus XIII...

Nintendo is Nintendo. I don't buy any of their products, but they know how to make an interesting presentation. I'm sure the internet is claiming that Nintendo "won" E3 after the Starfox Zero demo.

I want a FFVIII remake, that's my best FF game.

2nd... err... 3rd'ed... an updated FFVIII would mean revamped Gunblade scenes, i.e. mo-foggin' Gunblade-Gunkata!!

What was that Final Fantasy with the guy in blue who looked like Kyo from KOF? That one looked pretty good back in the GameFan days; It'd be cool if they did a remake of it.

I forgot about LoD. I thought it deserved a sequel aswell.

One piece about VII that I'm curious how they will handle is going to be the World Map along with some of the Weapon fights that went along with it.

The thing about a FFVII remake is that the extreme nostalgiafags may never actually be fully happy with the game, me thinks. So it finally happens, whoopy; people can shut up now, 7 years after the fact when the game is finally released (since you can't just port a game that old, it has to be almost a phoenix rebuild). Seeing how it's a REMAKE and not something as simple as attempting to remaster everything into HD, there's probably going to be some changes to the gameplay or interface, and it's going to ruin some people's memories of what they used to enjoy, and instead of being appreciative, they'll be in a fucking fit.

When you build too much hype, you increase the possibility of disappointment. But maybe I just tire of some people's whining. Does EVERY memory have to be remade, really? Whatever. I'm guilty of the same desires too, but I understand what the semantics of the words mean.

Anyway, I'm still excited for Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny's The Taken King, and Deus Ex Mankind Divided. A lot of good games finally coming out, and a lot of money and time I'm about to lose in the close future.

4gb vRAM for AMD Fury/Fury X. I'm a little concerned that it won't perform well at higher resolutions in comparison to its nVidia price-point counterparts. Guess I'll wait for the benchmarks and overclock reviews.

My sister just picked up KH1 and 2.

I agree for the most part. If I want to feel nostalgia, I break out my playstation and FF7 copy and just play. I never could feel much of the hype over the idea of a remake that some of my friends did due to how badly VII was milked in general. Will I play it when it comes out, definitely. I don't expect the same experience I got from the original game.

Just pretty it up, leave gameplay/battle system alone and you'll have a great remake.

I saw the trailer for the star fox game... Didn't really feel excited, but the ending made me chuckle.

Trailer was so good that I actually sat down and played through Ground Zeroes. Actually interested in Phantom Pain after playing it, because massive issues aside, open-world Metal Gear is the stealth game I've always wanted. biggrin.gif

Ladders make enemies stupid. You cannot be spotted by them if they're on ladders, and they fall off very easily.
