Now not every hardware player can chew this quality. But nothing prevents You to try. This post has been edited by K1RZA on Mar 31 2015, 04:52 AM |

You really made this pop, and excellent use of VFR for the OP sequence. I wish you had encoded the rest of Initial D. Hell, I wish you worked for Avex so that we could've gotten better blurays in the first place. @K1RZA: That's the Digest Version of Stages 1-4 that aired on TV before Fifth Stage did. Haha, thank you! And for the Final Stage, I will mux the English subtitle instead of Chinese.

It's quite technical but you can get around this by using reply #8 in this thread http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/339216-...it-MKV-to-8-Bit or you could use Handbrake if you don't mind minor picture quality loss.

You must re-encode the video if you want it to be compatible with hardware decoders, plain and simple. The first link is a command line way of doing it. Handbrake is a GUI way. |

Yeah, upon a second look, it looks like he would have issues getting 24 bit FLAC audio to work on Samsung TVs (or probably any brand of smart TV, for that matter) even if the video remuxes fine, so the command line way likely won't work anyway in his case. Handbrake might still work, though, not sure as I haven't used it in a long while. If Handbrake doesn't work either, then I'd suggest using Plex to stream the file to the TV.
