there is followers for both games, the argument on which is better will never end

One is all about highway [except Hakone in WMMT]
and another one is all about mountains [except Lake Akina in IDAS4]

Two different leagues... it's like comparing a Toyota Camry with a Bentley Flying Spur...

prefer touge racing...so i'm voting for IDAS

no use of comparing...im agree with them, unless the person who play both game like us, or else it wont helps in this comparison...

for those who r playing both side wont gv much comment bout this, because we know this is completely different, n both having fun time...

Juz Stating My Opinions-.-
I Juz Interested In WMT De Storyline....
Sadly, I Cant Find Any FanSub Group That Subbs It-.-

I haven't played wmmt3 but I was pretty decent at wmmt2 but I found it getting dull too fast >_<

I mean, I found it fun and all, and I like the music its just that all those straights really put me to sleep after a while.

Looking at some wmmt3 clips it looks like the speed drops a lot faster now but the steering control is still done with very minimal movement.

i just make a compairing, not to say which is better

Sadly, I have not played ID4 yet... so I cannot compare the two...

But I think WMMT is awesome...

both has its pros and cons...
WMMT: u can forget about opening challenge till you have at least 800hp...
nice cars
long maps
QUITE value for money (considering the long maps and pricing =PP)
wide variety of cars
4 car battle (i love tt, you can get 2 other frens to gank 1 guy =PP)
love the story
stupid comments from the COM while racing
Not that realistic way of modding... (choice between power and control...)
bad graphics(compared to ID4)
restricted steering wheel... (not even able to turn the steering wheel 360 degrees)

IDAS4:Skills take an important role in this game, so u can win even if ur car isn't tuned as much
better graphics
onli 1-v-1 available (mountain roads are small... onli got total 2 lanes =PP)
cannot change open or close challenge after the starting
lesser cars
player aren't much of a part of the game
not as cheap
have imbalanced cars (not sure about WMMT in that though)
nicer modding modes
stupid way of getting into customization shop
obvious aim from sega/arcade, to get us to spend heaps on ID4, cosidering FT nids more than a card life

yea think still got more comparisons, but for car addicts or car freaks, playing both would be a good idea, being exposed to different kinds of racing games, provided your wallet allows you to spend that much

hehehe IDAS4 bah...coz nvr try MT3 and it looks boring?coz straight road and...the speed looks abit crazy

MT3 is NOT just only STRAIGHT LINE, u can try C1, Osaka and Hakone n u would know...

anyway wmmt is fun la, im not denying that, its just that I can't play it for extended periods of time. Seriously like Myogi and Akina lake is actually fun for a while but i sure as hell wouldn't blow wads of cash on it....

way different. cant compare. its just i like initial d because an underpowered car can still win with technique not many long straights. in WMT3 there are a lot of straights. i mean they go like 300 where I@4 u never go over 200. the AE86 would never beat the devil z in MT3 and the devil z would never beat the 86 on ID4. its just a different game.

WE can now decide to go straight or to turn during battle... so, it's not all about straights...

I'd play MT3 more if only they enabled the 59km metro map

IMO toooooooo has made a valid point, too bad the example he gave makes no sense at all =_=;

tvv --> The 59km metro map is THE REASON I quit wangan lol....spent like 5-6 hours battling on that stupid map non-stop. During my last battle , an opponent came in (it was 1v1 finally) , chose metro, I was like wtf NOT AGAIN, chose C1 IB, I won the toss, won the battle and fled the arcade never to return to wangan ever again.

I was one of those people that said I would stick to ver3 and never touch WMMT2, until I had a go at it and it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. Yes there are lots of straights but the corners do require skill to reduce speed loss as much as possible. I haven't played WMMT3 yet and won't play it until I've FT'd at least one car in AS4. But it looks quite fun, graphics look the same as WMMT2 but game play looks better.

You forgot about the extra tracks after beating the game...
But anyways here's my take:


Game mode:
WMMT3 wins there... Plus I prefer the ghost race dress-up over the IDAS4 way of customizing

Cars:
IDAS4, they're shiny!!! And the cel-shading and graphics are just godly!! WMMT3 is kinda dull, I enjoy the background of WMMT3 though, just not the look of the cars. Personally I prefer the car choice of IDAS4 too.

Rival Available:
WMMT3 wins here... People don't really enjoy racing the same people over and over... at least WMMT3 has more rivals instead of having to choose from the same 26...

Songs Available:
IDAS4 and WMMT3 tie here: IDAS4, it's eurobeat! imo one of the best music genres. WMMT3 you forgot about the WMMT1&2 Soundtracks as well as Midnight R which is a big plus. But it gets a little repetitive and I'm not too big of a fan of Yuzo Koshiro's WMMT3 as I was about WMMT1&2.

Performance upgrade:
WMMT3 wins here... In WMMT3 you have to use your HP and Handling strategically, in IDAS4 its FT and pwn the n00b with less points and upgrades!

Possible Pax for Battle:
Tie here as well, 1 on 1 I believe is more fair... I've had people in WMMT3 fish the hell outta people like it was 3v1... But however, if it is played fair it's fun.

Overall Score:
IDAS4: 3
WMMT3: 5

WMMT 3 wins, but however I still consider myself a more avid Initial D player and fan than WMMT.

bro, the metro highway isnt available in battle, only can be choose in TA...

Isn't this upgrade thingie the same for both WMMT3 and IDAS4? Well..., never touch MT3 at all, but in MT2 FT cars also pwn less upgraded cars.

i prefer to play wmmt3 rather than idas4... because wmt3 are more cheaper than idas4 here in ph. and as for the game modes the wmt3 wins because of the ghost mode.. by this you can actually play the car of your friend even his not there to play it
