nice description their Kyishi basically there are four paint schemes that modellers would choose to use

1. Matte
2. Semi gloss
3. Full gloss
4. Metallic

all gundam models by default are semi gloss.

theres no clear answer which ones is better because its all based on personal preference eg I like mattes and metallics

Okay, I just got a look at the "clear version" MG Strike Freedom. Damn. They're using the same internal parts and only making the external ones transparent. Meaning the same internal wing gears, and the same wear-down when you attempt to adjust them.

Wanna ask: Will the gundam markers work as they usually do on full-gloss kits?

I don't see why they wouldn't. It's still ABS plastic. If you're really worried, then use the marker and then spray on top coat to seal it.

personally i thing the mech designers were drunk when they thought of the ZZ when i first saw this gundam. i find the ZZ to look rather weird and cheesy.

Man, I think that on Wednesday, I'm gonna just go ahead and put together F91. I'm getting angry that I have these gunpla and haven't been able to do anything with them, so I'm just gonna buckle down and get one done.

Gives me time to work this off.

I'm so badass. Actually I've just realized why "MODS = FAGS" is a catchphrase on 4chan. Because I agree. Posting a motivator using a screenshot from ZZ Gundam in a ZZ Gundam screenshot thread is a bannable offense? Even when the source screenshots were provided? Come on, now.

WTF! Is there seriously such thing!! I might buy a exia or dynames. Do you guys order them online or shop them in real life?

Such a thing as Double Zeta Gundam or such a thing as getting B& from /m/?

Exia and Dynames are neat and all, but I think that for what it costs to get a 1/100 you get more of your money's worth with Virtue... since it's pretty much two MS in one... I think if I were going for a second, I'd get Kyrios instead.

As for where I buy my Gunpla, it depends. If a local shop has a model I want for a reasonable price, I buy it locally (1/60 Wing Zero, 1/60 Exia, 1/100 Virtue, MG Freedom, MG Zeta 2.0). If it's rare or local shops are charging way too much, I get it online (1/60 F91, Powered GM, Blue Destiny Unit 3, Gundam Double X).

Hmmm.. Well there are 2 shops where I live at and they charge the price on the box. I'm not sure if that is considered as overcharging?

N1 When you showed me that weird Gundam, I was like going to have a heart attack! It scared the living s*** out of me!

If you find a shop that charges roughly the same price as the kit is in Japan (Say the kit is 4300 yen and the shop charges $45 for it), that's actually a great deal. It's when the kit is 5000 yen and the shop charges $80 that I roll my eyes and head online.

With cloth or without? If that was with cloth, you got a great deal. If it wasn't, it was still worth it (it just wasn't as big a steal as the full cloth one would be, har har). Congrats! Can't wait to see it.

yup, i had the cloth with it as well. I'll post the picture once I'm done making it. Does anyone use gundam markers?

Right here, though so far just for panel lines. I do have a silver and a gold marker for larger detail work, but I also have silver and gold enamel paints... so I've been kinda on the edge on deciding which I want to use for things like the V-Fins. I think I'll try one on F91 and the other on Exia, see which one is better.

I might get some for the eyes. I hate the eyes.

There's a couple of methods for eyes, with differing amounts of difficulty involved.

1.) Fine-pointed tweezers. Seriously, I had no idea what a godsend these things were until I went to build Deathscythe Hell Custom and used them to place the eyes. I remembered well the old days where I did everything from taking parts from trees to applying decals by hand... and tweezers just made it a lot easier to do.

2.) Trick I saw on youtube once to make neat eyes, but looked kinda tricky: use a scalpel to cut out the green parts, then place the black part of the sticker onto the green plastic piece. Shines through more clearly, but personally I think that's really tedious work. I prefer this alternate method I thought of when I watched it...

3.) Use markers or a really fine brush (read: toothpick?) to paint black onto the green plastic piece. Use the decal as a guide, and just paint around where the eyes would be. While it would take a little bit of doing, it sure beats trying to place a tiny little sticker on there, and I think it would look better as well.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. I'll decide whether what to use on my next model

LOL u cant make much of it but heres the progress on the MG Unicorn custom colour still need to do some minor paint repairs though

Woah... Unicorn in flat black? There's an interesting color choice. I've seen brushed gunmetal and of course shiny metallic black... but flat black should be interesting.

flat black sub colour the primary colour is actually a military grey and of course the frame is gunmetal and the psycho frame parts are metallic blue
