wrong lines. N/m with the question when I find a picture of these weird lines i shall bring the question up again. But thanks for telling me what the double dotted lines are.

The lines are not in the picture. If I have time after work i will try to find you a picture of them but they are everywhere in London. It's hard to explain, they will either be on the side of the road or when your coming up to a traffic signal or maybe even a stop sign or something.  ah i don't know. | ||

You get this when you reach the end of one road and it join onto another. The dotted line means that you have to give way. Basically you stop at them untill its clear to join the road. Lee |
