I think all things must come to an end eventually. I mean, I got into Initial D a few years back too. It doesn't matter when you get into an anime series. There will always be fans! You just have to look. smile.gif

my bad, my brain was thinking keisuke, but my fingers wrote ryousuke.

its a common cliche for rivals to spar at a finale with no clear winner shown a la Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed.

i got rid of the music simply because of change in taste. i've moved onto different genres.

after reading the responses, i could see an OVA or movie coming up, but given the timing of how things are, I'd bet things are very closely coming to an end.

Not really sure what how I feel about ID ending. I'm having mixed feelings about Fifth Stage.

Fifth Stage did seem like a rushed stage compared to Fourth Stage. Coming from a fan who haven't read the manga since volume 33 has been released. It all just looked and felt as if it were a lengthy Battle Stage.

That aside I'm glad that we got a new Stage after almost 7 years. Even though it wasn't as good as it could have been. As with everything, nothing last forever.

And maybe who knows, we might get a surprise later on in the future.

Whether or not ID ends, I am happy and I feel privileged to be able to discover and experience something so amazing and magical such as Initial D.

If it continues, we may have the endings in our minds be it, Takumi vs Keisuke, Bunta vs Takumi or Takumi vs Ryosuke etc and after that maybe a new stage featuring Bunta's earlier days... Im not sure.

All that matters is that we should be happy and move on regardless of the outcome, End or Continue.

If it ends, when you grow up one day and you have children, you can show them the series once again and tell the story of how you may always listen to eurobeat while walking to work or school or modifying your cars to look like the ones in the series (if I have the chance, I want an FC like Ryosuke), for us to reminisce about it. This small little things will always make us remember about Initial D wherever we may be.

Yes, we may be sad and tear up if it ends, but we will never forget that fateful day as we first watched Initial D till the last episode.

I finally have my closure and I am prepared for the outcome, for Initial D and m.o.v.e will forever be in my heart.... happy.gif

Kid 1: Dad, what's that song? I never heard of it before.
Me: That, my son, is Eurobeat. Back when I was young I love Initial D and the Eurobeat songs featured. Of course, the car you're sitting in right now is also a car driven by a main character in Initial D.
Kid 2: Cool!
Me: That's not all. I used to go to the arcades after school to play its arcade racing game. There were a total of 7 versions. I can't believe I burned a lot of money for those, hehehe...

I wish I can really say this laugh2.gif Problem is, will I get a girlfriend?

I actually forgot about Countach, I was reading that awhile back but I tend to forget because of waiting on the scanlations to come out. I did use to read Over-Rev before.

Okay. YM established a long, long time ago that the end of Initial D is coming up soon. The race with Shinji is coming to a close, and at the same time, the anime is conveniently wrapping up with the same race. What else is there to cover? They're going to finish the race, and everybody will go home. The end. The "story" they didn't cover was a lot of background stuff between the races, and they have no reason to do a separate OVA or movie just to depict all of that stuff.

Also, it's dreadfully obvious that the production company isn't putting any amount of care into Fifth Stage. What makes you think they're going to even put forth a proposal to sink more money into continuing a series they're phoning in in the first place?

Last time I checked, Fifth Stage isn't a manga.

Honestly, I would actually like for it to end soon. It's been a decade already. This ain't the Simpsons.

But yeah, I wouldnt mind Initial D ending but they could come out with some side stories and spin offs perhaps.

Or maybe a brand new series altogether but with the same concepts of Initial D.

How do you feel about Initial D no longer being produced when it's finished?

I personally feel relieved. I don't think there is much of a story left to tell. 15 years is a long time for a series to run and needs closure.

I think the series peaked at fourth stage. I think the long wait between 4th and 5th killed most of any interest I had.

well it is bitter sweet,

1. This is one of the series that I really loved since early 2000

2. I am a momma's boy and I am sad that Takumi's mother was never tackled in the series.

3. I am wondering on how Takumi and Keisuke would do in the Racing world of the Pro's

it is sweet because I can now focus on new hobbies.
