TLDR: Memers make memes, a friend is one of them, and they play Deja Vu over my music(they could have just asked me to stop)

Me: says something random I forget
Friend: *starts singing Deja Vu*
Me: ok, you wanna hear some real eurobeat?
Friend: ok sure
Me: *plays Supersonic Fire by Atrium*
Friend: *starts dancing along with it, and then starts playing Deja Vu*


Why do people who don't understand things act like they know everything because they watch the memes.

Though to be fair that friend is probably still gonna be a lifelong friend, I am starting to teach them about cars, and we both want a Miata as our first cars.

Who else experiences these things, or do you keep it quiet for this reason.

I need people like me to talk to otherwise I will go deaf from goddamn Deja Vu and Running in the 90s.

Also, I have a friend who's parents owned a red Trueno AE86, and then some drunks smashed it up with beer bottles.

Assuming all of what you said isn't bait. You're probably in the wrong place??? People in Eurobeat-Prime forums (now in Discord, mainly) loathe memers, they're even okay with racists! You might have a chat with like minded people in there!

Your memer friend deserves better friends than you

I'm now at the point where, if someone plays "Deja Vu" or "Running In the 90s" or plays some Initial D meme, I won't care. I'm not gonna delve into my favourite tracks and all Eurobeat lore, just to be met with confused-cringing facial expressions or laughter.
Same goes if Im asked what music I'm into, I'll say Eurobeat and brush it off. Not worth explaining it all, to people you don't like.

We hate on memers, but they help spread e-beat on internet and it's probably for the better, however with popularity also comes a lot of criticism and what I personally hate seeing is, that a lot of people consider all eurobeat meme music.
At some point a Deja Vu meme even got featured in a Pewdiepie video, - that's how big it is atm.
We have to also keep in mind that a good chunk of the EB fans discover eurobeat thru memes, self included. And that without memes it would've been even more deader and isolated.

Well, about it being dead, recently Mega NRG Man (who is actually Mr Groove) released a Eurobeat song called "Welcome to the Universe", so I don't think it is dead.

its well known that anything posted on the internet is absolutely 200% correct and memes these days seem to condense a story into a few words. indeed memes can be catchy but thats pretty much they try to understand or remember.

Bongo cat is ok, but it is more people over using memes. Another thing happened today with deja vu.

Playing game with space ships.
Different memer, not a friend, but he decides to play the game.
His ship changes direction, and because it is a bit laggy the way the ship moves was a weird diagonal crab walk. He then proceeds to start singing Deja Vu at the top of his god damn lungs. I say be quiet, people are getting annoyed. He then says I am addicted to eurobeat memes and stuff. Why? My youtube recommended. It has super Eurobeat and Touhou Eurobeat. As well as some of Street version's touge videos.


I just really need to vent.
