This has been posted many times before and im pretty sure i put it in the FAQ. Just let your front tire slip into the gutter and use it as a slingshot to go out the other side. (Gutter Technique 2)

You'll know when you're in the gutter when you hear that sharp scraping/squaking sound.

actually, gutters help at any speed, you only lose speed in the gutters if you are scraping the wall.

I find that anything below like 120 theres really no point since you can pretty much take the turn up to that speed anyways, and even if your not scraping the wall you lose speed (minimal but some) while entering and exiting the gutter.

Well even if you are going slow, the line closest to the inside is best right? Theres a ponit in using it.

The only thing that I see wrong with the gutters is that sometimes they will pull you to the wall... causing HUGE slowdown... so be careful.

the only time gutters can actually save time and speed is when u r making a really tight turn if u just doin a casual turn and u enter tha gutter yes u will be thrown into tha wall and get huuuuuuuuuuge time penalty

having enough speed also helps alot couse if ur not goin fast enough u get thrown into tha wall

and bout tha whole closes to tha inside thing its that but combined with fastest exit speed couse if u slow down tooo much so u can stay inside then they just catch up ne wayz

you dont gain speed from the gutter. the gutter allows you to take the turn at a higher speed because you have more grip.

And i was right, if taken PROPERLY, you should always gain speed during gutter runs, it happens all the time among the good players at my arcade.

I havent seen the vid, therefore, can't tell you whether or not he is good. He may be awesome, just can't take the gutters right. I dunno, all i can tell you is what i've seen. SOME people at my arcade take the gutters, while getting faster.

Which part did he slow down on by taking the gutters?
