You are an idiot. Please stop posting in this thread. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO REMIND PEOPLE WHAT POWERSLIDE MEANS!?!?!?? POWER. SLIDE. The POWERed wheels, they SLIDE. Which wheels are powered in a FWD car? THE FRONT WHEELS. If the front wheels are sliding, what is that? UNDERSTEER. Have fun with that guardrail/ditch/sidewalk/wall! On another note, why the hell is this thread alive again after almost TWO MONTHS? I'm gonna talk to Sideways and see if we can't just get this damn thing closed with the answers to everyone's questions in teh first post of this thread. That way no more threads can pop up about it. God... (USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST) - Details: Warning has been issued to this post by Apex Carver on May 14 2008, 04:53 PM. - Reasons: Namecalling.

RWD: Hit gas, go sideways. Powerslide. FWD's can drift, they can't powerslide. D1GP'ing is prominently powersliding, but any corner entry slide can be replicated with a FWD. If you only count the part of the slide where the tyres start spewing smoke as a drift, then that's fine (your opinion, enjoy it). By that definition FWD's can't drift, but i see that as merely a small portion of the bigger picture (and by far the less difficult part). Now the thread must rest for a while... |

And I see you as wrong on so many fronts I don't even know where to start. Do you understand what the actual definition and the physics characteristics that even make up a drift? I'm being serious, do you understand what a drift is? I suggest you learn what a drift is composed of before spewing out utter nonsense. FWD CAN'T DRIFT, IT GOES AGAINST THE PRINCIPLE OF THE TECHNIQUE.

I am going to say it once and for all : FF's have always been able to, and always will be able to drift Why do I say this? A simple look at the definition of "drift" will bring us the answer :
So let's look at this again : 1. If there is a flood and a Honda Civic gets carried off by the water, it is drifting. And if that does not work : 4. A Nissan Versa is being driven along the 401. At some point in time, the driver loses concentration, and begins to veer in to the other lane. The word to use in this case is that he drifted over. And with that, and a couple of members inability to control themselves in a really trivial topic like this, I think it is better that I close this thread. *Topic Closed* *Topic unpinned*
