Also, signing up for college, first part is done, just have to see how this VA thing works, apparently my brother was able to get some aid due to his dad being discharged (or was it he retired?) but he was also disabled.

My dad was discharged but is not disabled, anybody have any info on it? Or i'll just head to the campus and talk to them about it after I get the info when he was discharged.

Dang. This is sound advice. It's true, but they probably make it hard so that few people go through with it to receive the free money. Also, working at Starbucks / H&M is also good advice, and it is good experience but it does make for a stressful school life.

i just saw some great news today on the evening news. the Montreal insectarium has a small food truck and several options for insect related foods. they even have a vending machine that sells some edible insect foods . its sounds like a great event, silk worm tacos, cricket meal meat based hamburgers, poutine with ants, termite topped ice cream . i know 1 person who is ready to get bugged out .

i finally got some new touch screen technology today as i was forced to upgrade my previous device yesterday/today, its a Galaxy !

i didnt want to try a possible fiasco by having it sent out/repaired and it was a slower CPU than the new models. it would just be a matter of time before the current damage to the old one got worse. transferring the system was nail biting, my net connection has occasional hiccups and any such hiccup would've been a potential data loss situation.

im still happy with the purchase but it wasnt on my want list to begin with. things break over time and you need to upgrade them every once in a while. i just thank god that flip phones will still be around in the next 50yrs.

in other movie news, im still up to my bad habits of procrastinating on seeing certain films. i'll likely skip Guardians of the galaxy 2, and likely Wonder Woman too. i hope i do remember to see the new scifi Chevrolet commercial directed by Micheal Bay and all the rare quiet/real moments that are put in between CG effects.

Have to file something for taxes (Which i have never needed to do because lol no official job minus odd jobs) for verification.

But I also got accepted for the BOG Waiver, so my fees are already paid off (Just gotta stay above a 2.0)

i went to the insectarium today and saw many dead and living insects. i took a bunch of cool pics of moths butterflies, beatles etc etc. i also ate a few insects too .

for those who have an "ick" factor when it comes to eating insects dont look at the pic. some pics are hard to distinguish what it really is others its easy nuff

i dont usually take pics of the food i eat but here is the first reason to do so, ENJOY!

that is a burger made from cricket meal powder and actual crickets, no harm was inflicted on any mammal in the making of this product. the tomato had a bit more water content than id like but it was the best burger i had. it was crispy yet light/mushy with a consistency similar to tater tot paddies. loved it alot, reminded me of a pork?? product named Kaszanka (polish) after its fried on a pan. its a " traditional blood sausage in east and central European cuisine. It is made of a mixture of pig's blood, pork offal, and buckwheat kasza stuffed in a pig intestine. It is usually flavored with onion, black pepper, and marjoram." thats a silkworm taco but the silkworms might be a bit hard to see but its that thing that looks like a burnt string bean in the corner, the taco was too watery but it tasted ok. they put mustard in the darn taco which is a big no-no as i dont like the taste of mustard and i feel it likely masked the taste of the silkworms. thats just a regular Poutine that has ants mixed in with the salt, nothing really different with the taste. you can see the ants as the tiny black dots on the fries, they look more like some pepper or some other spicing. then there's the cricket rice crispy square, it did taste a bit off as the crickets did kill 60% of the sweetness of the marshmallows. i did have a mild ick reaction seeing them but i got over it quickly. those are larvae, beetles and an assortment of few others with maple syrup and soya sauce. it has a mild salty taste with a hint of sweetness. the maple syrup usually makes its self known when you pick it up/chew on the insect. im not crazy about this one but im not hopping to go and eat it all in 1 go. i also got a 50g protein bar which i have yet to try. its ingredients are chocolate, cayenne seeds and cricket flour. they were also selling 50G gars of fried crickets or grashoppers from a vending machine for $11 but that was a bit much for a jar that size. the only items i didnt have were an insect fajita and the termite/chocolate dipped ice cream cone. i just wasnt in the mood for ice cream.
