Initial D has changed my life, even the way I plann my "CHYLAXATION" List (you know this to do when you chyll). so yeah I would never start or end my chyllin day widout Initial D ...on the first few weeks she was so...soo pissed about being so into it. but now now shes loves it and thought that its a positive way for killing time than for me gettin caught racing by cops ....again! So yeah if this is a repost I dont give a fcuk(thats a brand name im not swearin).

so yeah..post your good times and bad wid your annoying gf/friends/bestfriends with Initial D

I don't see how or why a cartoon would affect your love life in any way but OK. I bet Shuichi Shigeno would be a little freaked to hear his cartoons changed your life.

She likes it when I battle people or face Bunta. She hates TA's and says they're borring.

And I mean come on... Sex is 235689710 better then ID... Jesus Christ what's with you people?!

What is the point of this thread?

Girl over any game. Any day. Any time.

Posted by: Excel Dec 8 2006, 10:43 PM
Not necesarily. I'm not saying I would chose any game over my GF, but ift any GF I EVER had EVER made me choose between things I like to do... whether its playing ID or other things... I would know straight up that that girl is not for me.

True loves would NEVER make you choose between your passions, and if they do, they deserve to be dumped on the spot. I'm not saying this specifically in relationship to ID but ANYTHING in general.

You've posted this thread in a community where a majority of the AS forumites are young, adolescent teens, and according to the thread title the forum is full of males.

Already this is an inaccurate measure as to whether or not IDAS players will choose their girl over ID. It's also inaccurate because it doesn't define the circumstance. Are we choosing whether we quit ID to stay with our girl? Or are we choosing to spend a day playing ID or with the girl? Who knows.

Most people on here would say girl over ID because it's foolish to choose a game over a girl. Others would say to choose the game and diss the girl. More mature people realize that ID as a hobby that they're not easily willing to give up, and that any girl who would make their bf choose between a hobby and them is stupid (as Excel said).

The girl should accept you as you are and realize that ID is just something you do and won't put down when she says so. If you've got a problem with the game (playing too much and not spending enough time with her) then it's understandable for her to ask you to quit.

And if this cartoon has "changed your life", I'm again going to assume you're a young gamer who hasn't experienced much from life just yet. While ID (anime and game form) has affected the way I think of things, it hasn't brought about a large change in my life.

Also, if you want to swear, just type out the word and censor the vowel or something. Example: f*ck.

Don't beat around the bush, use a clothing brand (that looks very much like a cuss word ) as your substitute, and say you're not swearing. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

Initial D vs. Girlfriend. Sir, a girlfriend worth keeping won't make it an issue. And you won't have to choose she will let you do stuff you like because it makes her happy that you are happy. Or she loves watching you do something you are good at, and is happy that you are good at it and is happy that you are happy you are good at it. Basically, the girl worth keeping won't make you chose and will be happy a lon as you are happy. If that made any sense.

Posted by: junetrish024 Dec 10 2006, 08:24 PM
I have no comment.
Besides, why would I choose over a game than a girl?
Why would I choose fantasy over reality?
:/

Basic lines is...

"If you're happy [with what you are doing], then I'm happy as well."

My girlfriend always come with me to watch me play. We always have a good time watching other people play, and the same when i'm the one playing. Sometimes when better players challenge me, she'd say "Hala ka..." (or something like "watch out"), but whoever wins, she's still in the same mood, and so am i.

It has come to my attention that most members (specially HIGHER members) are more should we say stuck up and illeterate as u might add. Being said that this thread is innacurate and having taking "everything" I said in this thread word by word is by far knowing u more as immature-stuck-up-ig-no-ra-mous!

When I said and read this closely..when I said Girlfiends vs ID obviously I meant was would you stand up your ground and tell your friend saying " I like ID and I wanna stay here playing a couple more rounds" or " *whipped lash* Yes Dear Im coming". Iam not asking you to quit ID or dump ur gf over ID.

The intention of this thread was for everyone to share theyr good times playing intial D wid theyr partner. I feel insulted and embarrased to this person talking about relationship to me who is obviously inexperienced and immature. advice for you is... never talk about relationship on someone whos gettin laid more times than you did. eehhmmm ever did.

Interesting thread...

I give him coupons for free tokens and let my Wolf play ID. smile.gif But it doesn't mean I want him play all the time. If it's my time, it's MY time alone. No dropping by the arcades.
I like watching him do TA's and battles especially with other people. I don't like the standing for 3 hours straight waiting for him while he's sitting in a cab and forgets about me (which is understandable because one needs to focus). But I still don't like it so I don't usually go with him when he plays.
I like him talking about his and the CUB's progress and showing me the records. I don't like it when all he do was talk about IDAS, go online and talk to his IDAS friends, and browse/post here in IDW - ALL DAY.

I mean, we girls (whether into IDAS or not) don't really mind our boys playing IDAS and be passionate about it as long as they don't forget us and set limits to their playing. Moderation and time management is the key.

I got into ID before I got with my bf. Then I find out he was into ID...when he found out that I was a fellow ID player, he would invite me to play at the local arcade. I wasn't as good just yet (I'm still not all that great), so he kinda helped me. Then we raced...of course he won, but I loved the idea of hanging out with him and playing ID. Since then, we were inseparable. happy.gif We still play ID together, but work and school has gotten in the way so ID became less of a priority. It's cool. laugh.gif BUT...there are times where I want alone time with him too u know. Most of the time it's ID...

Getting caught by cops in your 15-second Integra isn't badass.

...she actually loves watching me play (especially battle) others and we both actually blog about it and stuff. However we don't see each other very often and last time I was at Gameworks with her, I played one game and we did our own thing...

..Initial D will always be there but who knows how long she'll be around ya know?

I'll always choose my love over a video game. There will always be another day to play Initial D, or video games for that matter...but we both love Outrun 2 SP so that's our game happy.gif!

For me, Girl > Game. It's just pathetic to dump your girlfriend over something made out of plastic and metal. Those things are expendable and can get boring fast. Relationships, however, are rare. If I had to choose, I choose a girl. Excel, even though that's a good point, I don't know what are you on.

True loves would NEVER make you choose between your passions, and if they do, they deserve to be dumped on the spot. I'm not saying this specifically in relationship to ID but ANYTHING in general.

I was going to post something along these lines, I am happy I checked the first page instead of only reading the second.

Any relationship that has someone forcing the other is not a relationship in any way.

i was addicted to idv3 then moved to id5 since there are only 2 idv5 machines here in my country i would save my money to be able to go there for the weekends, then one day she got angry at me and said that i'm not really playing the game and said "you're going there just to look for another chick" then she wouldn't just believe me, when i ask her to come she dont wanna, and if i go alone her blood pressure gets up and tells things like i'm just looking for hook ups...

until now we're still fighting about this, but i aint givin' up driving i live to drive and drive to live

God dammit. What is wrong with young men these days?

Didn't you see Spider-man 3? If you did, you obviously missed the advice that Aunt May gave to Peter.

Edit:

That said,

lol my new girlfriend loves playing video game and actually tries to play Initial D version 5 with me.

laugh.gif The second girl I actually play Initial D with. smile.gif

For some reason, it's a real turn on for me, when she tries out my Impreza Type R... Even if she sucks and times out most of the time whistling.gif

*this aint about the game, this is based on real life story*

If you were in your car with your girlfriend and came to an intersection, on the road to the left you see your old mother walking alone and seems so very tired, and on the other side you see your best friend having the same situation with your mother, what would you do??

give me your opinion on this and i'll tell you the BEST answer *cause there's no correct or wrong answer to this one*

I'd say take the girl, games can't talk back to you and share emotions.

That said, you can always pick the game she likes (say DDR) and play against her. wink2.gif

close enough happy.gif

u will lend your best friend the car and ask him to bring your mother back home and if your girlfriend really loves you beyond any consequences she will walk home with you...

My time is spent solely on only myself on ID and me alone.

I never had any girls before in my entire life. My only known female in my life is my family. smile.gif

Not that I care about being alone, because for me, you won't have anything to lose if you didn't have a girlfriend at first place.

Lonely as it may be, I feel safe still. wink2.gif

So, game is for me. laugh.gif

Well in regards with this topic, my ex GF and me used to battle each other on IDAS3, and to think that she can match my lines in Tsuchisaka like I do haha =D. It was a match made in heave since she loves cars as I do and even racing games as well especially ID and WMMT.

But sad to say, we broke up last February due to insecurity reasons...

Oh well, move on, move on

Pffft. Initial D, for me, became a great and good distraction. I've been having a wonky love life lately. But I dunno man. When I'm at the arcade, hearing the Eurobeat, my FD's engine, and all the screeing... I just find myself at peace. n_n I even named my FD in ID7 "Solace". derp.gif
-loves naming inanimate objects-
Actually, no. Solace... He has a soul. Yes. I believe he does. xD

Initial D is made for people with SOULS happy.gif

Wonky huh? I wonder what you mean lol. I know exactly how you feel about he music and the sounds in the game. To other people going by it might sound like a loud annoying racing game, but to me it's heaven. If heaven had an image, it would be an initial D machine.

Solace?

Same name as my wife's card/car.

Whoa.

@jkp: I just found out about that the "awkward" way when I met her at a convention a few months ago. facepalm.gif
