....i totally disagree with that as you gain more experience, you'll learn how to properly MGS (Machine Gun Shift). for those who dont know what MGS is, MGS is the rapid downshift of gears. so if you're referring to the first turn in cp1, then i start feinting, and as i get near the turn, i MGS down two gears to third. brake, turn, accel at apex shift up at exit. exit around low80s to mid 80s. i use evo 4 like you. this is really only used in the first corner b/c you need fast speed reduction to be able to clear the turn. | ||

IDW God Member Group: Members Posts: 164 Member No.: 23,047 Joined: Jan 31st 2007 Location: Update Profile | i love this thread Irohazaka 1st Pin: Feint (out) at the japanese scripture at the road, release the gas at IN + break while downshifting all the way to 2nd gear, full turn, gas-on at apex while shifting up 2x at apex. for all other pins; (excluding sec2's 1st pin, sec3's 2nd pin & jumps, sec4 1st/2nd pin etc) 1. out (feint) 2. in (steering wheel at inning position) 3. erase 4. jerk ( steering wheel slightly to center) 5. release gas + tap break 6. full turn + gas-on at apex *this is aplicable mostly on section2's pins and some of the section4's mastering this correct method would easily bring you to 3'02s ;p im going to make a complete "IRO Guide" soon This post has been edited by FREDS on May 15 2007, 10:07 PM |
