Abu Dhabi: At least five people were killed and nearly 350 injured in a horrific 60 vehicle pile-up on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway near Ghantoot on Tuesday.
The 25km stretch of the UAE's busiest highway from Abu Dhabi to Dubai was closed for more than five hours, resulting in huge tailbacks during rush hours.
Police said among the 347 injured, six people were critical, while 39 suffered medium injuries. The remaining suffered minor injuries. Police said 25 vehicles caught fire following the accidents caused by poor visibility due to the thick fog and lack of attention by motorists.

How did the pileup begin? Just curious.

Best wishes to all those involved in that horrible pileup. R.I.P. to the 5 who met untimely deaths. And my condolences go out to the families of those 5.

Those silly sheiks are speeding on the road although thick morning fog reduced vision. One car crashed and the others followed suit...

How many tankers exploded? Cars just don't explode like that unless there was a tanker truck. Looks like one leaked.

I don't see a tanker, but in a bad accident... gas tanks can possibly break or leak and something electrical sparks it....yeah you get that.

I was asking how it started. I already know about the friggin fog. I was asking how the hell the thing friggin began, and not what helped cause it.

A pileup starts with one car. I was asking about that one car.

I liked the longer version of that post... it was more specific before Black edited it. Now I can't figure out how to be sarcastic in how the accident did a 60-car pile-up.

that i don't know, but i think it's the usual: some Emarati guy with a land cruiser thinks that he is god and can't crash hit a Bus which leaded to this...
but i don't know, and in some accidents its always the stupidest reason that causes them...
