For Akina:
The boost is supposely to be use like this:
CP1: slow
CP2: fast
CP3: fast
CP4: slow

How is boost use correctly on other tracks in ID5?
Is it always slow, then fast, fast, and slow to finish. Anybody know the best method or does it vary from track?

there is no 1 straight way to use the boost.

the boost can be used in different arrangements.

it just so happen the guy uses it in this configuration and it worked well for him

it is more of how much return can you get from boost compared to normal running normally.

previous versions u need to identify your prob in corner speed, lining n countersteering but now u have to identify where u shd go slow at corners, keep an extremely tight line but still dunno how to activate the stupid boost especially at cp 3 n 4 ... sighhhh sad.gif

CP1 see red is a good thing, IF the CP is faster due to better lining =D

I wonder whether doing CP1 and 4 fast in Akina will make a big difference...

Cos ur corner speed too high ma, but if you can make cp1 fast thru slow speed but good LINING then is ok wan.

CP4 not supposed to have much boost, the main boost comes in cp2/3 =3

how do u allocate the boost? let's say i want the boost to take effect in the 2nd section, i'd have to intentionally slow down my time on the 1st cp?

Well yeah u need to slow down on CP 1 then go full out on CP2 and CP3 then the boost will ran out on CP 4

Hmm yeah. My cp time I can lower up to 45" low pushing it in then blow it off on the other sections. It seems like you really have to go intentionally slow to make it up for on the later sections but yeah still keep proper lining.

CP1 Slow
CP2 Slow
CP3 Go Full Out
CP4 Go Full Out Until The Boost Ran Out

OR

CP1 Fast
CP2 Slow
CP3 Fast
CP4 Slow

OR Lastly

CP1 Fast
CP2 Slow
CP3 Slow
CP4 Fast

I don't really get this "boost" effect I've played the game but i don't really notice it. But i don't think its not the "boost" maybe it has something to do with grip on your tires pinch2.gif

i remember back in id2/id3/id4 ... i would see red and get excited , now im like f**k I WENT TO FAST IN THAT CP *gives up hope
for akina i go slow cp1, normal speed cp2/3 and then push cp4 ...

lol... i used to be happy when i saw my 1st cp 44:800+
now i see my 1st cp 45:900 i also quite unhappy...
best timings i got so far is with an 3:09:200+
1st cp 46:4xx
2ndcp 47:4xx
3rd cp 46:8xx
4th cp 48:5xx

the 3rd cp i can get 45:600+ but hit somewhere at the gutters then the boost gone... aways like this... lol... dont get the whole thing yet... still like the chiong all the way method... i got 3:09:500+ for chionging all the way... now trying the boost effect..

chiong = 3:09:5xx
cp 1 44:8xx
cp 2 48:5xx
cp 3 47:2xx
cp 4 48:8xx

how many seconds do you actually save from maximizing the boost technique? Also, intentionally slow down, meaning, feet off the gas instead of full throttling on some turns, is that how it suppose to be done?
