Eraser was fun, but I like how in AS4 you don't have to use any tricks to make a good time. Just use the brakes and keep a good line.

In a way, I kinda do...but then again that's all I could do because I could never get the TST down. I sucked! But I can't really say much because I've only played ID4 like a few times. sad.gif I haven't had time to play because I've been so busy. I need a day off... pinch2.gif

Eraser is easy (just shift down then up quickly), but TST is harder.

eraser and wheel jerking is fun.

I just hate how turning in IDV4 is TOO easy/drifty, its ridiculously unrealistic.

Meh. Don't really miss it but it was fun while it lasted. ID4 felt like I was erasering all the time. But that's just because I fail. Can't wait for ID5.

No, I don't really miss using the Eraser. In fact, I'm really sick of the people who always badmouth Ver. 4 and 5 because it was gone by going as far as saying "those two require no skill whatsoever".

I'll admit Stage 4 was hilariously unrealistic, but in return we got the drifty nature of the anime. Stage 5 gave a feel of gripping the road as well as letting FR cars powerslide wonderfully and fans still complained about it.

But tl;dr, yeah I'm glad it's out of the way.

I don't mind eraser as much as this boost on TA rubbish.. and PC.. =.=...

The perfect formula = V2/V3 mixed with no eraser glitch.

yes and no...

yes because in the rare instances when i play IDv3 lately, i can't control myself from using it... no because it seems as if i can't remember how to use it properly anymore, might have to resort to old school lining for awhile again the next time i play v3 (just like when i still had my capp)...

I used to use Eraser, but then I stopped using it all the time, when I raced against a friend of mines. My wheels locked and I wasn't able to recover. It sucked big time. In some way, fourth version gave me a perspective of how drifting looks like up close and personal. As for fifth, I haven't played it yet. I want to though.

Never really learn to use it and never really know how to use it effectively so I vote no.

Jerking the stick is easy, does it work like it should ? not neceraly.

Afterall in real life id does not work so why would you.

Ever try to do "erase" on real car while its moving ?
I guess no either.

If you need to use it, use it.

Limiting yourself by being biased to your own ideals about a simple game will speak volumes about how you will deal challenges in real life. No growth. Its good to have your own ideals, but be flexible enough to know that the technique will really make you faster.

Its just two choices:

1. Im gonna do this to improve myself and get faster

or

2. Im gonna stay in my comfort zone and just do what I feel like doing

If you choose number 2, dont complain if you see yourself unable to improve on whatever you're doing. Wether its real life or a game. If you want to enjoy and just enjoy.

But its all about the will. Wether its eraser, PC, heel and toe, etc. If its something that will bring out the best in you, AT LEAST TRY.
