IDW Posts A Freaking LOT Member Group: Advanced Members Posts: 28,412 Member No.: 1,414 Joined: Mar 9th 2004 Location: Update Profile | I'm sure some of you remember back in 2007 that the former Spiderman, Toby Macguire, was involved in the production of a live action adaptation of Robotech with Warner Brothers, well it looks like Sony Pictures has picked up the rights with every intention of turning it into a movie. It'll be interesting to see how this will turn out; although I would rather that they adapt Macross rather than Robotech which consisted of Macross and at least 1 or 2 other series. That being said, I have no opinion. It could end up being a great film, it could end up being a shitty film. No matter which it is, Sony isn't changing Harmony Gold's illegal stranglehold on the Macross franchise in the west so I've no reason to pay any particular attention. |

Unfortunately it's not. I do hope if they do succeed and end up making this movie they just focus on the part of Robotech that makes use of the original Macross, as the other stuff they mixed in IMHO is nowhere near as good. | ||
