[Intro: Drivin' into the night – m.o.v.e]

Act 1: Wind in your face...

Monday…
It’s a brand new day for a new school day at college…
A young 17-year old boy was fixing himself and his things for school…
As soon as he was done, he took his bag…
Quick footsteps were heard from the stairs as a woman was waiting…

“Mom, I’ll go now!” the boy screamed.

Wearing his casual clothes, he ran towards the door as soon as he puts on his shoes when…

“Oh! Won’t you eat your breakfast?” asked a woman about her deep forties...
“I’m on a hurry!” the boy replied.
“Well… it’s just 7 in the morning… Besides… it’s your first day of school…” the woman replied. “I also cooked your favorite...”
”Alright…” grumbled by the boy...

The boy then proceeded to the kitchen as his mother prepared his breakfast…

“WOW!!! STEAK!!! I would’ve regretted it if I left…” the boy's face changed from being grumbled to a happy, bright one...
“See?”

Suddenly a sound of a motor engine was heard… The doorbell rung and a voice from outside was heard…

“Delivery for Mrs. Ayase Yukihara!!!”

The woman then fetched the delivery… Soon, her image was seen on the kitchen…

“Who was it ma?” asked by the boy as he took one spoonful to his mouth...
“Oh, it’s just the delivery boy…” replied by Mrs. Ayase who was smiling...
“Hmm… What could my sweet mama ask for a delivery anyway?”

The boy then tickled his mom… He then resumed eating…
Soon, he was done eating… As he drank his glass of hot chocolate, his mom spoke…

“Son, I have a surprise for you… But first, close your eyes…”
“Ooooohhhh…. I can’t wait to see it… A girl perhaps?”

The boy did as his mom smiled… Soon, they are outside…

“Mom, can I guess what you want to give to me?” asked by the boy...
“Hmm… Try me…” as Mrs. Ayase grinned...
“Hmm… We are outside, I can feel it… Is it a… CAR?”
“You’ll be surprised…”

Soon, they come to a stop… the boys mother guided his hands towards the hood of a car…

“Aha! I got you… it’s a car…”

The woman then took off his blindfold to be surprised…

“M---Mom!!! I-----It’s a----a---an E---E---Ev---Ev—oo… An Evo II!!!” said by the boy with surprised...
“Just for you my baby…”
“Oh ma! You really don’t have to bother… As I said, I’m saving up to buy my own car…”
“Oh my baby… Save your money…”
“Mom… Thanks… Can I…” the boy said as he kissed his mom...
“Anything you want, Kyosuke…”

The boy smiled upon hearing it… The woman then handed the car keys to the boy… The boy then revved up and shortly waved farewell to his mother and left… At the mountain ridges of Akina, he drove happily going to his school… He had fantasies of having such car and now, he’s sitting inside of it in the driver’s sit and all his own… Soon, he reached the town as he took it slowly as not to make a fuss… Some girls and boys were walking when a white Toyota Altezza came roaring together with a black Toyota MR-S Turbo… Soon, girls and boys came and fussed all around the drivers…

“So, Chibusa, how’s the driving?” asked by a boy...
“Fine… It’s feels good… Far better than my dad’s Trueno…” Chibusa replied...
“That’s good to hear…” the boy replied with a smile...
“ Jin, are the others coming too?” asked by the girl to her boyfriend...

The boy then took his shades off…

“Of course!” smiled Jin.

Suddenly, two other cars came in…

“Hey Jin!” shouted by a thin boy...
“Ren!!!” Jin replied towards the boy...
“[Hmm… so… Renzo got a Celica… not bad…]” Kyosuke thought...
“Jin, where’s Chibu?” Ren asked Jin.
“She’s just there…”

Jin pointed to Chibusa, who was looking at the other car...

“Nice car Ichido-san!” complemented by Chibusa...
“Skyline GT-25” said by Ichido with pride... “You’ll be surprised to see Eiji and Ryo!”

An Evo. VII and a red Skyline ER34 came by…

“Jin!!!” shouted by another boy...
“Jin!!!” the other screamed to his fullest... this boy being a fat one...
“Eiji!!! Ryo!!! How are you guys!!!” complied by Jin...

A boy then came in his Evo VII…

“Here comes Wenzo!!!”

Wenzo smiled upon hearing his name…

“Sendo and Akira are on the way. They sent me an SMS. I just passed over Yuta.”

Two 180SX’ came to a stop near them…
A yellow Sileighty came shortly…

“Yuta! Genki! Takeshi!”

Jin greeted some of his peers…

“Where’s Sendoh?!”

An Impreza STi came followed by an Impreza GDB…

“Sendoh-chan!!! Akira-chan!!!” greeted by Chibusa in a cheerful way...
“Ah! Chibusa-neko!!! Jin!!!”

Sendoh was looking around…

“Have you seen Kimyo?!”

An EG6 and an EK9 came with an S-15…
“Miyu…”

Sendoh sweatdropped… Miyuki was his school rival even on kinder grade...

“Ren!!!” as a beautiful lady approached Ren...
“Keiko!”

Keiko huggedher boyfriend… A blue RX-8 came roaring the highway and then into the group…

“Here comes Hikaru!!!”

An AP1 and a DC2 came followed by an Evo. III and an FD…

“[Minako? Sakura? Wow! And to think they still walk to school…]” Kyosuke said to himself in surprise...

Finally, a red and black Levin with a spoiler came…

“Sorry, I’m late…” apologized by Kimyo as he went down from his car...
“No sweat…” Acknowledged by Sendoh...
“Well… we are now complete!”

Akira then protested…

“W-wait…” Akira said... “W-where’s Kyosuke?!”

Suddenly...
A cyan colored Skyline BNR24 came…

“Waiting for us?” asked by a girl...
“Shinonome?!” as she gave her bestfriend a kiss to the cheeks...
“Am I late?” asked by another girl...

All was surprised… Especially Sendoh…

“Sachiko?!”

Sachiko was his former love... And even now, the fire is still alive in him...

“Hi Sendoh-san!”
“A Roadster huh?” complemented by Jin to Sachiko...
“Where’s Kyosuke?!” asked by Kimyo...
“Who cares? Probably walking by himself… The freak.” Chibusa said sarcastically...

Suddenly a black Evo. II came parking near them…

“Evo. II?!”

The door opened to reveal the driver…

“Hi guys!” as he welcomed himself on the group...
“Kyosuke?!” asked by Sendoh, Akira, Minako and Sakura...
“WOW!!! You’ve got your own car!!!” Kimyo was excited with the fact..
“Well, mom bought me one.” Kyosuke replied...
“To top that, it’s an Evo. II!”
“Still looks like an ordinary Lancer to me…” Chibusa replied with even more sarcasm...

Kyosuke suddenly froze upon hearing Chibusa…
Chibusa Igarashi… 17… A classmate of Kyosuke and his crush since 6th grade…
He already said what he felt for her but for some odd reason, she dumped him and called him “OBSESSED”…

“Well, we are all here now…”

The bell then rang as some students rushed in…
In the classroom, they took some subject while some just let them do what they want to do since it’s just the opening of school… Soon, they were dismissed…

“Where do you want to go guys? It's way too early...” Asked by Chibusa...
“Me? You ask me? I’ll go and practice my driving skills…” Jin said...
“Again… You want to race at Myogi again?” Kimyo asked...
“Well…”

He then smirked…

“Ok… You? Kyosuke? Where do you want to go?”

Kyosuke then decided for a while…

“I’ll have to go too…” Sakura said...
“Drifters… Alright… I’ll go…” Minako, even if not interested, said...

Kyosuke then spoke…

“I’ll go too… I want to see you guys do that.” Kyosuke said with curiosity in tone...
“Suit your self.” Chibusa said as she entered her car...
“Let’s go then.” Takeshi said as he patted his twin brother Genki...
“Yeah! We can chow down on the way…” Yuta said in excitement...

The group then left… Soon, they reached Myogi… The racetrack of speed…
Jin and Yuta then positioned themselves as Chibusa started a count…

“Yuta…” Jin said while patting Yuta's shoulder...
“I know…” Yuta replied with a smile...

Jin and Yuta then entered their cars…

::Stay::

Chibusa: 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…

At the count of one, they started… Yuta had a slight lead as Jin pushed him to the limits…
Kyosuke was amazed at what his peers were doing… He can feel his blood rising trying to take a challenge that he can do the same and race… Sendoh was looking at Kyosuke, trying to observe him… The girls cheered for both Yuta and Jin… Yuta and Jin passed the second lap with blitzering speed… Sendoh then went to where Akira is…

“Tell Kim to prepare… Let’s see what Kyosuke can do.” Sendoh said to Akira...

Akira then nodded and told Kimyo the plan…
The race came to an end with Jin winning with a nice edge over Yuta…

“Whew! You really blew me out Jin. That MR-S is something…” Yuta complemented...
“Well, that’s my boyfriend’s car… Just like him.” Chibusa said.

Chibusa kissed Jin… Kyosuke tried to let it off him but a pain came piercing him when…

“Kyosuke, Say, What if you show us what you got?” Sendoh said as he approached Kyosuke...
“Yeah!” Akira said in agreement...
“Your opponent must be Kimyo huh?” Eiji asked with confidence in his tone....
“But... I...” Kyosuke tried ti talk himself out...
“Don’t tell me, you’re afraid of an 8-5?” Ichido said, teasing Kyosuke over...
“I…” Kyosuke still tried to resist...

Kimyo then walked towards Kyosuke…

“Come on Kyosuke… I’ll bring you to school…” Kimyo said with confidence...
“Ha! He won’t even win against a racer level of Kimyo… Told you it’s just a Lancer…”
“I—I” Kyosuke still trying his best to get out of it...
“Come on!” Sendoh tried to convince Kyosuke...
Kyosuke, knowing he stand no chance of getting out of it, finally agreed...
“Alright…”
“Way the go!” Akira said trying to raise his friends confidence...
“You have the guts… You’ll lose. Go beat him Kim!” Chibusa said as if ordering Kimyo...
“Heh. Another one to fish…” Kimyo said while smiling over...

Kimyo laughed as he went to his car… Kyosuke, forced, went over to his car…

“[Just great...]” Kyosuke sighed as he was thinking why he agreed.

After praying, he then went to the starting line…

“Kyosuke, the finis line is the tea house below....” Kimyo said in confident tone...
“Got you.” Kyosuke said with no interest at all...

Kyosuke and Kimyo started their cars and revved up…

::Everbody's Warming::

“5… 4… 3… 2… 1…” Chibusa started to count...

By the count of one, Kyosuke and Kimyo began the race with Kimyo having a huge lead…

“Told you he won’t win…”

Kimyo was confident he would win over Kyosuke…

“[Your car is under tuned against mine… And my turbocharger will beat you!!!]” Kimyo said to himself as he pulled away from the begginer, Kyosuke...

Kimyo then rushed in… By the second lap, though closing in, Kimyo is still in the lead…

“If he just do this, he’ll win…”
Kyosuke stepped hard on the brakes when he is going into a corner... When...
Suddenly, Kyosuke realized something...

“What's this feeling? As if this road is familiar...”

Kyosuke tried to figure out the road... It's widening and major curves...

“It's wide... If I can, I'll win this...”

Kyosuke tried to remember the things he did with their old car, an old Nissan S-14Q...

“The car isn't a big gripper... I can do it...”

Kyosuke began pushing hard and his car rushed in to close on… Kimyo looked to the rear mirror to see Kyosuke rushing in…

“IMPOSSIBLE!!!”

Jin, Chibusa and the others were surprised at Kyosuke’s sudden comeback…

“IMPOSSIBLE!!! HE IS BEATING KIMYO!!! HE'S CHEATING!!!”
“Kyosuke!!!”

::Try to believe me::

At the grand curve, he did something amazing… As Kimyo stepped on the brakes, Kyosuke gradually sped up...

“He's insane... He's not slowing down!!!”

The whole group was surprised as well when Kyosuke gradually sped up...

“He's going to crash!!!” Minako said in horror...
“I can't look!!!” Sakura said in horror as well...
“He's insane!!!” said a scared Chibusa...
“Insane as he may be...” scared as well, Jin managed to say in a cool way...
“Akira... C'mon!” Sendoh fled to his car, thinking the worst...
“Right after you...” Akira replied as well...

Thinking that he'll crash, Kimyo gave a smirk as he entered the hairpin...

“[Now!]” Kyosuke thought...

Kyosuke tapped the brakes and stepped on the accelerator and induced a drift-like move on his Evo. II...

“A grip-drift?!”

The group watched as Kyosuke caught up with Kimyo with the move... Kimyo tried recovering but Kyosuke took the lead against Kimyo… By the third lap, Kimyo tried to chase up but
Kyosuke then leaded all the way to the finish line as a surprised pack of Chibusa, Jin and the rest of the group were speechless… Kyosuke was also surprised at what he had done…

“Wow…” was all a surprised Kyosuke said... “I… I…”
“Kimyo… You were…” Sendoh said in surprise as well...
“Defeated…” Akira said in disbelief...
“Kyosuke…” Sendoh looked on Kyosuke
“One time only?!” Ichido, who was earlier teasing Kyosuke, said in disbelief...
“I can’t believe it. I actually beat Kim on my first try?” Kyosuke, still what happened not sinking in...

Chibusa then replied back…

“Just plain luck.”
“Eh?” Jin asked...
“Just plain luck. As we can say, Kim’s Levin is really the weakest car in our group.”
“Chibusa…” Kyosuke, thinking of also taking what Chibusa said to consideration...
“Try me Kyosuke! Try beating me here!” Chibusa challenged...
This surprised everyone. It's not Chibusa to challenge anyone so suddenly...

“Chibusa…” Kyosuke whispered...
“Scared?” Chibusa said tauntingly...
“As you wish…” Kyosuke agreed again...
“Chibusa, are you sure?” Jin asked her...
“Chibusa…” Sendoh said in utter disbelief with how Chibusa acted...
“Well…” Akira, not being himself as well...
“Chibusa…” Kimyo looked on with the same look on his eyes...
“Well…” Chibusa said as she went in her car...

Kyosuke, then just agreed… Soon, he is back at the driver seat of his Evo. II…

::Love is in Danger::

“I’ll count.” Minako said...

Minako then began to count…

“5… 4… 3… 2… 1!!!!”

At the count of one, Chibusa and Kyosuke began to race… Kyosuke was trailing behind Chibusa as Chibusa held Kyosuke off…

“Is it just luck?” Akira said wondering...
“Hmm… Chibusa is improving… She can beat him.” Jin said in full confidence...

Chibusa kept pushing Kyosuke as he trailed behind her past the second lap…

“Feh! He’s a beginner… I’ll beat him today…”

Kyosuke then tried passing her but she blocked him… Nearing the end of the race, Chibusa was still leading…

“She’ll win!” Akira said in disbelief as Chibusa passed trailed pulling away from Kyosuke...
“That’s it my honey! Do it!” Jin cheered on...

Chibusa then neared the grand curve when…

“GO EVO. II! GO!!!”

Chibusa saw in utter disbelief as Kyosuke put his own Evo. II drifting parallel to her...

“Is this true? Kyosuke... Someone who just got his car... DRIFTING an ALL WHEEL DRIVE?!”
Chibusa said in utter disbelief...

Kyosuke then inched in to take a quick draw but then as Chibusa tried to block him, he pushed his Evo. more to take a photo finish draw…
Soon, the two parked their cars and talked…

“Almost beaten but fortunately a draw.” Chibusa sighed as they parked their cars...
“Yeah.” Heaved a tired Kyosuke as well...
“Well, I still beat you off the line…” Chibusa said, mocking Kyosuke...
“Chibusa…” Kyosuke said...
“Hmph! Obsessed!” Chibusa said towards Kyosuke...
“Way to go my honey!” cheered by Jin...
“Honey!” Chibusa walked towards Jin...

Chibusa and Jin kissed again… Kyosuke then went back to his Evolution II and started his engines…

“Where you going?” asked by Genki.
“Oh! I’ve got to go home. Got to help ma on her work.” Kyosuke stated.
“Well… take care old buddy.” Sendoh said as he patted his best friend on the back...
“And congrats!” Akira said as he shook Kyosuke's hand
“Thanks!!!” Kyosuke said as he entered his car...

Kyosuke then left after some farewells… Back to the mountains of Akina…

“Mom! I’m home!” Shouted Kyosuke as he prepared to change his school uniform to his working clothes...
“Kyosuke! Why now?” Mrs. Ayase stated as she checked on her son.
“Well, I just got along with my classmates.” Kyosuke replied as he went out of his room...
“Well, you could help me now on our work right?” Mrs. Ayase said.
“Yeah.” Kyosuke said with a smile...
“Well, deliver this to Mr. Sudoh Kyoichi. He is in St. Nikko's Mt.Irohazaka.” Mrs. Ayase said as she prepared to load the product in the compartment of Kyosuke's car...

Mrs. Ayase handed Kyosuke another wrapped fish… Kyosuke then left for his delivery…
Soon, he came to a place called Irohazaka…

“Evo. II?!” said a pony-tailed guy about his forties...
“Hmm?” a questioning tone from another man, this also in his forties...
“Brother, guys from below said there’ll be an Evo. II coming here…”
“Evo. II? A challenger?” asked by the guy with a bandana wrapped into his head, being in his late forties...

Soon, Kyosuke is at the place where the man and his group is…

“Delivery for Mr. Sudoh Kyoichi…” greeted Kyosuke, now wearing his working clothes...
“Hmm… must be the fish I ask for this morning. How much will it be?”
Kyosuke: It’ll be 140 yen.

Sudoh then reached for his wallet and payed Kyosuke…

“Here… Keep the change…” Sudoh handed some bills...
“Received 150 yen! Thanks you sir!” Kyosuke said as he counted the money and patted his cap...

Kyosuke then gave Sudoh a receipt and then rode his car…

“Kid, you’ve got a nice car here.” Sudoh said as he looked on Kyosuke's car.
“Thanks sir. My mom just gave it to me…” Kyosuke said as he smiled...

Sudoh then slid his hands on the hood of the car…

“I used to race here you know… Mind if I take a little look?” Sudoh said as he looked on Kyosuke.
“Sir…” Kyosuke whispered as he opened the engine doors.
“Your car is set-up real good. A pro must've prepared this.” Sudoh said...
“Care for a race kid?” Sudoh said all of a sudden...
“But…” Kyosuke was surprised at his sudden challenge...
“Scared there boy?” the guy with the pony-tail said...
“N—no! B—but…” Kyosuke tried to talk himself out again but ti no avail...
“Show me what you got kid.” Sudoh said...

Kyosuke was then unable to react in time. Sudoh then went in his Evo. III’s driver seat and started the engines…

“This’ll be a downhill battle kid. The finish line is the end line from the third bridge.”

Kyosuke just nodded…

“Good. You get it now… Let’s race then.” Sudoh then revved up...

::Max Power::

“5… 4… 3… 2… 1!!!” the guy with the pony-tail counted...

Sudoh and Kyosuke then began the race…
Sudoh got to the first hairpin curve first…

“[With my MFS, I’m invincible. Screw Takahashi! I’m STILL the Emperor here!]” Sudoh said to himself...

Sudoh then pushed his car with Kyosuke trailing…

“[He’s fast. He also has a mis-firing system. How can I beat him?]” Kyosuke said to himself in disbelief...

Kyosuke continued to trail even more… Sudoh is then pushed harder on his car on the 20th hairpin…

“[I still haven’t change.]” Sudoh stated in his mind as he smiled...

Suddenly…
On the 33rd hairpin, Kyosuke saw something…

“[A jump! And the hairpin is wide...]”

Kyosuke then rushed in, tapped the brakes and took the jump to close the gap between him and Sudoh…

“[WHAT THE?!]” Sudoh said in disbelief as he saw Kyosuke's car zoom near him...
“I WILL WIN!!!” Kyosuke shouted as he pushed his car even more...

Kyosuke then approached the 36th corner using the jumps…

“IMPOSSIBLE!!!” Sudoh kept on being surprised...
“GO! MY EVO! GO!” Kyosuke pushed his car hard...

Kyosuke then took the lead on the 39th hairpin as he lead passing the 3rd checkpoint…

“IMPOSSIBLE!!! VERY IMPOSSIBLE!!!” Sudoh said as he looked on as Kyosuke passed him...

Sudoh looked with disbelief as Kyosuke leaded all the way to the end…
Soon, Kyosuke and Sudoh were chatting with each other…

“You won kid.” Sudoh said as he admitted his defeat, this time to another youngster...
“I just did with luck. If I hadn’t seen the jumps back there, I would’ve lost. You’re so good!”
Kyosuke said, trying to humble himself.
Sudoh then shook his head…

“Kid, you didn’t win with just luck. Have you been racing?” Sudoh asked...

Kyosuke then shook his head in reply…

“I haven’t done such… Well… Just this afternoon after school, my classmates and I were racing in Mt. Myogi… And I've been driving since seventeen with my dad's old car. It's an Evo. I so I kinda liked this car as well...” Kyosuke replied.
“You’re good kid. Luck wasn’t at your side at all… You have skills… I admit my defeat. You’ve got a nice car there kid. Maximize your skills and let’s meet again and race like this.” Sudoh said.

Kyosuke then nodded and thanked Sudoh… Sudoh then left shortly…
Just past 8 pm, Kyosuke came to his house…

“Kyosuke!” Ayase ran as she met her son.
“Mom…” Kyosuke said as he went out of the car, tired.
“Kyosuke, where're you been?! I was so worried of you.” Ayase said with worry in her voice..
“Oh… the traffic jam caught me.” Kyosuke said, trying to bail himself out.
“Oh Kyosuke…” Ayase said her sons name as she kissed him.
“Oh! Here mom!” Kyosuke said, remembering the money.

Kyosuke handed the money…

“Oh. Thank you son. Here…” Ayase said as she spared some money and gave it to Kyosuke.
Mrs. Ayase gave 50 yen to Kyosuke and hid the 100 yen…

“Mom…” Kyosuke was surprised...
“Take it… Keep it…” Mrs. Ayase said as she gave it to her son...

Kyosuke then kissed his mother and ate his dinner… Soon, just past 10, he slept ahead of his mother…
Before he could get down and doze off, he tried to remember the whole day...

“[It's been a long but exciting day...]” Kyosuke said as he smiled.
“[I wonder what tomorrow will bring.]” Kyosuke asked wondering and looking at the sky...
“[Dad, wherever you are, I want you to know... Your son is following your steps.]” Kyosuke smiled as he said it...
“[Following your footsteps... I feel the fire now. I want tomorrow to come.]” Kyosuke said as he dozed off...

Elsewhere, a sole car is driving down Akina. It's a white and black AE86 Trueno with the Fujiwara Tofu Shop inprinted on its side. The sudden sound didn't even woke the sleeping Kyosuke as the 8-6 passed zoom their place...

Hmm. . .

Interesting fanfic, but you may want to change your writing style a bit. It didn't manage to hold my attention throughout the whole chapter the first time I read it. I did read the whole chapter, but I had to force myself to do that. Anyway, not bad.

im not one to talk, but that was a loooooooooot of dialougue, i read the good bits, but then went backt to read the rest of it! i love it keep going, loving it when kids get their firs cars

Act 2: First Tears

Another day came to wake him for school…
“Mom, I’m off to school!!!” Kyosuke said as he had a loaf of bread in hand
“Take care son!” Mrs. Ayase said as she ran to wave her son goodbye for the day.

Kyosuke then left for his school. It seemed like a normal day for him… He reached his school in no time… Soon, he saw Minako and Sakura waiting at the usual site where they park their cars… They were the first ones to come… He then parked his car upon seeing them…

“Sakura! Mina!” Kyosuke greeted as he was met by the two...
“Kyosuke-kun!” Minako greeted.
“Good morning there Kyosuke-chan.” Sakura greeted back
“Good morning too! You guys here first?” Kyosuke greeted and aske dthe two....
“Yeah… The others just called. They’ll be here after thirty minutes.” Minako replied.
“Hmm… I see… Well… want some coffee? My treat.” Kyosuke said as he closed the door of his car.
“Well… since you mentioned it. Ok. How about you Sakura-chan?” Minako said smilingly...
“Just bring it to me… I’ll fix my car yet.” Sakura said as she opened the engine hood of her car.
“Ok…” Minako said as she clung in Kyosukes arm...
“Well… Good luck!” Kyosuke said with a smile.

Soon, Minako and Kyosuke left for the coffee machine…

“So... um... Kyosuke-san, how's you now?” Minako asked.
“Eh? What do you mean?” Kyosuke asked back...
“What I meant was you being downed by Chibusa last year? I mean how'd you fare now?” Minako said.
“Oh. I know where you're going... I'm fine... I'm handling it nice and easy...” Kyosuke replied with a small smile...

Minako smiled with the reply...

“Nice to hear that...” Minako smiled...

Kyosuke sipped his cup of hot coffee...

“Umm... Nice cup of coffee...” Kyosuke said as he sipped his cup more...

Minako took the second cup and walked back to her Evo. III with Kyosuke...

“Here's your cup Sakura-chan.” Kyosuke handed it to her.
“Thanks...” Sakura said as she stopped at what she was doing and rested her body at her car.

The three began drinking their hot cup of coffee...

“So, um... how's life Sakura?” Kyosuke asked, braking the few seconds of silence that governed the group.
“Fine. I've been up this summer taking up some driving lessons.” Sakura replied.
“Oh. I see...” Kyosuke replied in relief. “Do you, in some kind, race?” Kyosuke followed up with curiosity.

Sakura smiled...

“Neh. Haven't done such... But I've watched some of them and that's all... I just wished one day I could be like that.” Sakura replied.
“Oh... Dreaming of being a racer huh?” Kyosuke said as he sipped more of his coffee...
“Yup.” Sakura smiled with her answer.

Kyosuke then looked onto Minako who was fixing her car...

“How about you, Minako-neko? How're you?” Kyosuke asked with the same amount of curiosity.
“Huh? Oh! That... It's fine. Have to force my dad to buy me a car that is.” Minako said.
“And you choose the FD huh? Nice pick for a girl.” Kyosuke said with the complementary.
“Thanks. I kinda felt it sexy for a girl like me.” Minako said with a wink.
“Good choice too Sakura.” Kyosuke said, sipping his last sip of coffee, ignoring Minako's last comments.

Finally, the others came...

“Sakura! Mina!” Chibusa greeted as she got off from her car.
“Sakura! Mina! Kyosuke!” Jin followed up with a greeting of his own.
“Kyosuke's here?! Great.” Chibusa stated with a little sarcasm.
“Where are the others?” Kyosuke asked, ignoring Chibusa's sarcastic remark.
“They're coming. Sendoh said he'll be up here a little shortly...” Chibusa said.
“Oh. That's good to hear.” Kyosuke said, smiling.

A roar of an engine came to notice. It was Kimyo's 8-5.

“Kimyo's here already.” Kyosuke smiled.
“Yo!” Kimyo hailed as he got off from his car with his bag.
“It's just the six of us here yet?” Kimyo asked.
“Yeah. It's just us yet.” Kyosuke answered.
“So, Jin, how's your summer?” Kyosuke unexpectedly asked Jin.
“Oh. It's just fine. Me and Chibu were together. Nothing much new though.” Jin replied classically.
“To top that, we were travelling with each other on different mountain passes.” Chibusa added.
“Oh. I see. That's great.” Kyosuke replied softly looking away.

After some more minutes, Sendoh came followed by Akira, Genki and Takeshi.

“Kyo-san!” Sendoh greeted.
“Kyo!” Akira greeted as well.
Kyosuke met his friends with a greeting as well.
“Sendoh-chan! Akira-chan! Genki-san! Takeshi-san!” Kyosuke hailed.

The others came as well... In no time, the whole group was complete.

“Another time at school... It's way too boring here.” Eiji said as Ichido joined him.
“Don't worry. It's not that boring.” Renzo replied, looking at Keiko.
“Hey! Have you heard guys?” Kimyo suddenly blurted...
“What now Kimyo?!” Chibusa asked irritatedly.
“Well, I have news that there was going to be a race at Mt. Akagi this coming Saturday. I am going. Care to join me?” Kimyo asked proudly.
“Mt. Akagi? Whose going to battle there?” Jin asked, interested of the news.
“Last I heard it was Team Draco and Team Eclipse.” Kimyo stated.
“Team Draco. They're the one I heard as the best on the Ibaraki prefecture. They're here?”
“That's what I heard. Rumors are Fukosawa Inoba is going to take the last race.” Kimyo said.
“Fuko?!” Chibusa and the others were surprised to hear the name. Kyosuke was still as he heard the name.

Fukosawa Inoba, nicknamed as the “Black Tornado” for his swift way of ending battles. He uses a black Toyota Supra RZ Mark IV. He's widely reknown for taking Time Attacks on
various mountain passes. Some of which are Shomaru, Tsuchisaka and now, Akagi. Kyosuke have dreamt of watching a race of Fukosawa and also had planned on buying a Mark IV as well.

“I'll surely go. It's Fukosawa. One of the best.” Ichido said.
“I have to be there. I'll get his autograph and all.” an excited Minako said as she
“Well... I'm sure Jin is going so I'll go as well.” Chibusa said as she clung to Jin's arm.
“So...” Sendoh said tapping Kyosuke's shoulder. “Coming?”
“Umm...” Kyosuke nodded as he smiled. It's his dream come true to watch a race of one of his idols.
“So it's set! This Saturday at 9, let's meet at Hisoshima's.” Kimyo said.
“Hisoshima's it is then.” Jin said in agreement.

All can't wait to go. It's Saturday and it's just around the corner. The whole group went to their class. Recess time came when Sakura came over to Kyosuke.

“He's your idol right?” Sakura said. “That's the reason you wanna come. To see your idol race.”
“Yeah. It's like yesterday, I just wished to see him and now, I'll see him race.” Kyosuke said.
“Well, that's good. You've just realized your dream.” Sakura said with a smile.
“Realized my dream huh?” Kyosuke whispered as he smiled at the thought that his dream is just near.
“Well, care for a little sandwich? My treat.” Kyosuke said to Sakura.
“Neh. I have to do some of my homework. But if it's ok, bring it to me.” Sakura said.
“Sure. No problem on my part.” Kyosuke said as he went out of the room.

Sakura was looking until Kyosuke's silhouette vanished from her sight.

“Realized your dream... I just hope mine will someday.” Sakura whispered as she sighed.
“Sakura, have you seen Kyosuke?” Minako asked as Sakura was taking her book off her bag.
“He went to the canteen.” Sakura replied simply.
“Oh. I see.” Minako said as she went towards the door.
“I'll go to the canteen, Sakura. You're not coming?” Minako asked.
“It's alright. Go ahead. I'm going to do some studying.” Sakura replied smilingly.
“Okay.” Minako said. “See 'ya later.”

Minako then went out. Her image, disappearing quickly, Sakura then went back to what she was doing.
Recess then was over. Classes resumed as the long day went over. The group then formed at their usual post.

“I'm so bored.” Ichido said.
“Yeah. Me too... Finally it's over.” Eiji said in agreement to Ichido.
“Well, the day is over.” Jin then intervened.

Chibusa looked on her boyfriend...

“Don't say... We'll go to Myogi again...” Chibusa asked...
“Where else honey...” Jin replied...
“Oh brother... You really don't want to stop driving eh?” Yuta said.
“I have to. I want to be the fastest.” Jin said proudly.

Kimyo then came...

“I'm so excited about Saturday. Right now, I want to check Akagi's roads...” Kimyo said excitedly...
“Akagi?” Jin said as he heard Kimyo mention the mountain pass they're going to on Saturday.
“Yep. Akagi.” Kimyo answered.
“Then it's set then... To Akagi today...” Jin said, to the astonishment of the others.
“Don't tell me, we'll go to Akagi?” Chibusa protested...
“Well... I want to check the roads there as well...” Jin then said...
“Yeah. That sounds new. I want to go there as well...” Renzo said.

Minako and Sakura then came together with Kyosuke...

“Hi guys...” Minako greeted...
“Hi Mina-chan. Jin-san just suggested we head to Akagi.” Akira greeted back...
“Akagi?” Sakura asked. Hearing the place, Kyosuke jerked his head.
“Oh, I wanna go there too...” Minako said excitedly.
“Then it's all set! Akagi, here we come!” Jin exclaimed.

Chibusa tried to protest more but then was dragged as well to Akagi...
Mt. Akagi... The luscious green grass and the road was way too great for the group to notice as they were amazed at the downhill sight of the place...

“So, this is Mt. Akagi...” Chibusa said...
“Hmm... Nice place for a race of someone with great skills.” Jin said.
Everyone nodded...
“So, anyone up for a race?” Jin challenged.
“If you want, let me run.” Eiji suggested.
“You versus me?” Jin said. “Fine.”
“Alright, let us go to position first.” Ichido said as Yuta, Shinonome, Renzo and Kimyo went back to their car.

Shortly, all was prepped up...

“I'm clear here. It so odd. No car coming up.” Ichido said as he was at the curve just beneath the famous V-turn.
After a minute, Shinonome spoke to her radio. “All set here.”
“I'm here. No traffic. All clear.” Renzo said as he arrived at the right hander.
“I'm clear here too...” Kimyo said after six minutes.
“Alright, I'll count...” Takeshi said...

The two then went inside their cars...

“Good luck my honey.” Chibusa said as she kissed Jin.

::New Love::

“5... 4... 3... 2...” Takeshi shouted...

The two then revved up.

“...GO!”

The two the blasted as Jin deliberately didn't took the lead as he went behind Eiji's ER34...
As the two took the first left hander, Eiji drifted his Skyline GT-25 as well as Jin did to his MR-S.
Eiji pushed his car for more as Jin pushed his as well. The two raced blindly without running the whole course...
The two then approached the first checkpoint with Eiji leading the way.

“The two are coming, I can hear them.” Ichido said as he was looking at the curve.
Suddenly...
“Here they are!” Ichido said as Eiji and Jin passed him.
“[Time to end this.]” Jin said as he changed his line.
Eiji noticed this as he looked at his rear mirror. “He's pacing up. Got to change my line as well.” Eiji said to himself.
The two passed the checkpoint as they drifted their way towards the three curves...

“He's good.” Jin complemented as he watched Eiji take up his line and kept Jin form passing.
The two then ran at high speed trying to take each other down.
Kyosuke was listening to the radio as the ones below told the action happening...

“That's my honey. Fast and strong. He can beat anyone,anywhere...” Chibusa said proudly.
“This is Shinonome, they're almost here.” Shinonome said as her lover, Koshiro looked on.

Jin and Eiji had been taking each other neck to neck...
Eiji then took the straightway as Jin tried to take the lead.

“They just passed, Eiji is still on the lead with Jin trailing him...”

They two passed as Shinonome screamed over the radio on the happenings.
The two gradually slowed down on the right hander with Eiji taking it too slow...

“[Too slow...]” Eiji thought as he saw everything slowing down too fast...
“Now!” Jin then took the outside as Eiji tried to shift lanes.
This action was a wrong decision as they reached the hairpin with Jin entering the curve, his car targeting the inside now...

“[I...]” Eiji tried to correct this but was too late has Jin passed him...

“They're coming, I can hear their cars.” Renzo said, screaming over the radio...

Renzo was awed as he saw Jin leading with Eiji trailing...

“Jin is on the lead now.” Renzo said on the radio...

“Told you, he can beat anybody...” Chibusa said proudly as Kyosuke listened closely...

Jin then gradually pushed his car.

“[He's fast.]” Eiji said as he tried to catch up.
“[This ones done”]” Jin said as his car passed Kimyo...

“This is Kimyo, Jin just passed with a huge lead. He's won this.” Kimyo said.

::Music sudden stop::

Meanwhile, three cars are coming on the opposite side. Comprising of an black Toyota MR-2, a gunmetal gray S-15 and a black Toyota Supra RZ Mark IV.

“Eh?!” Kimyo asked as he was surprised at the loud screeching of the tires.
Jin and Eiji was stopped as well as the heard it...
“What?!” Kimyo said in total disbelief as he saw the cars passed them, he caught a glimpse of their stickers...
“Team Eclipse?!” Kimyo uttered in disbelief...

“This is Kimyo, three cars from Team Eclipse just passed us here below.” Kimyo screamed over the radio...
Kyosuke was stopped at what he was doing hearing the team of his idol.

“Fuko... Fuko's here!” Minako said excitedly as she rushed to her car to fix herself...

Minutes later, the three cars came... A guy went down from the S-15 as the other drivers went out of their cars as well... The driver of the MR-2 was a girl and a guy came out of the Mark IV.
“That's not Fuko... Who are they?” Sakura asked as Kyosuke joined her...

“I love driving this mountain.” the girl said as the two guys gathered on her...
“Too bad, Fuko can't come...” said the bald guy.

“Eh? Someone's here? I thought this place will be free today?” said the one with a blonde hair as he noticed Kyosuke, Minako, Chibusa, Sendoh, Sakura, Akira and the others...

“AH! AN FD!” the girl screamed as she saw Minako's FD...
“You racers?” the blonde guy asked... Sendoh just shook his head.
Jin and the others came...
Jin noticed that Fuko was not there...

“Where's Fuko?” Jin asked...
“He's not here. So, are you a racer?” the blonde guys asked again...
“Yes. Why?” Jin said proudly.
“Then it's settled, let's battle. My name is Kuso Hitsugaya.” the blonde guy said.
“I'm Airie Kuno.” The girl said. “And that's Ichinose Sensui.” the girl followed, pointing to the bald guy.
“Jin. Jin Nakagawa.” Jin said proudly...

Kuso then entered his Mark IV.

“The end is at the parking lot below the three consecutive turns.” Kuso said.

Jin was about to get inside his car when Chibusa walked over...

“Jin, I have a bad feeling about this. Please back out.” Chibusa said in a worried tone...
“Hon, this is my chance, I have to do this. Please let me do this.” Jin replied.

Chibusa still tried to take Jin off the match but the persuasive Jin prevailed and was then in his car drivers seat...

“I'll count this one out okay...” Airie said as she fixed her cap and positioned her self.

::Crazy for your Love::

“5... 4... 3... 2...” Airie counted as Jin and Kuso revved up their car...
“1!!!”

At the same time, the two launched as Jin tried to take the first line...

“He knows how to treat his machine. This is going to be good.” Kuso said as he smirked looking as Jin took the lead at the beginning...
“He's going to win.” Chibusa said excitedly as her boyfriend took the lead.
“We'll see about that...” Airie said as she smiled.

Jin took the first checkpoint with Kuso trailing close to him.

“By three or four curves, I will have loose sight of him there.” Jin said as he tried to look behind his rear mirror. Jin began pushing his car as he exited from the hairpin...
“He's beginning to excite me...” Kuso said, noticing Jin accelerate his car more.

“The MR-2 just passed. The Mark IV is trailing closer as well...” screamed by Shinonome over the radio...
“He's to lose this Chibu-san...” Kyosuke said as he listened more to the radio...
“How dare you say that. My honey is far more better than you know! You're saying that just because you're jealous!” Chibusa said, infuriated at what Kyosuke said.
“It pains...” Eiji spoke. “... but Kyosuke-san is right.” Eiji said, looking at Chibusa with a sigh.
“Jin WILL beat that guy. You'll see. He's faster than any of you guys. Faster than your so-called hero Fukosawa Inoba!!!” Chibusa said angrily.
“Chibusa...” Kyosuke sighed as the others concentrated on the race.

As the race progresses, Jin and Kuso are still head-to-head as Kuso kept on closing the gap.

“[One mistake kid, and you're done.]” Kuso said to himself as he tried to take the lead.
“[He's good. But we're nearing the end. I'll be winning this. I feel great!]” Jin said as he block an attempt of Kuso to take the lead.
“[Up coming hairpin...]” Jin said as he noticed a curve ahead. He then stepped on the brakes as he tried to drift in the curve.
“[He's done!]” Kuso said as he took the outside lane.
“OUTSIDE?!” Jin was surprised as his opponent took an outside line while he kept his position for the drift.

“This is the third section. I can see Jin drifting with Kuso taking the outside lane.” said Renzo as he looked at how Jin took the curve.

“My move kid.” Kuso said as he saw an opening at the front side of Jin's car.
Kuso shifted lanes in the last second as he took the inside lane wherein Jin saw that he was open...
“What the?!” Jin was surprised as he saw Kuso's car passby in front of his car as he exited the curve.

“WHAT THE HECK?! KUSO TOOK THE LEAD!!! KUSO TOOK THE LEAD!!! HE'S ON THE LEAD NOW!!! THE MARK IV IS LEADING NOW!!!” Renzo screamed over the radio as Chibusa, Miyu, and the others were left surprised as Kyosuke stood up.

“He's done.” Airie said as she smiled
“Impossible... My honey lost.” Chibusa was surprised as well.
“Don't worry kid. You're still young to play this games.” Ichinose said as he smiled as well.

“This is Kimyo... Kuso just passed by. Jin had just come up. I repeat, Kuso won.”

::Music fading::

Kuso, Airie and Ichinose were all smiling and happy. Chibusa and the others were comforting Jin who is still not himdself after the race.

“There will be more races up ahead hon. Hush now...” Chibusa said as she is hugging Jin.
Jin is still surprised at what had happened. Chibusa tried to calm him down...

Airie and Kuso went near the two.
“You're skilled kid. But still too young for this. Enjoys learning first before you go challenging anyone.” Kuso said, giving Jin a piece of advice.

The two then went away as Ichinose looked at Chibusa and Jin and the others.

“I'm riding this one. How about you, Ichinose-san?” Airie asked as Ichinose just gave a thumbs up.
“I don't think there's anybody of you who wants to go home huh?” Ichinose asked Sendoh and the others.

Suddenly, Kyosuke stood up...

“I have to go guys.” He said as he took his keys and went to his car.
“Kyosuke.” Akira said as he looked on.

“One goes home huh.” Ichinose said as he looked on as Kyosuke went in his car.
The sound of Kyosuke's car was heard as Airie prepared to run down the hill...

“I'll just take a run down alright.” Airie said as her car hummed it's engines alive.
“Don't hold anything back. Remember, you're our number two in the group next to Fuko-san.” Kuso said as Airie gave a thumbs up.

“5... 4... 3... 2...” Ichinose counted. “... GO!!!!”

Airie's car launched as she sped up to prepared for her test run.
“The car's reacting fine to me. I can do this.” Airie said proudly to herself.

The MR-2 passed the first right hander in a quick pace as Airie pushed her car more.

Screeching tires echoed as Airie came to the next turn, drifting her car...
When...

::Music fading to stop suddenly::

A fast sound of an incoming car was heard from where Chibusa is. All were stunned to hear the sound of the engine as they tried to looked on to who it is... The engine sound grew louder and louder as the car's tires screeched on the turn just before where they are...
A silhouette of a black Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution II came running fast, entering the track in incredible speed...

“What the...” Kuso said as he looked on the car...
“KYOSUKE!!!” Minako screamed to her lungs as she recognized the car.
“Why is he here?!” Ichido was also surprised to see Kyosuke's car as he looked on.
“He's going to take this one. I know.” Sakura said as happiness was apparent on her eyes.
“Take this one?” Chibusa was puzzled at what Sakura said as she looked on to Kyosuke.
“He, let us just say, let Airie get some distance. It's a challenge to him to chase her up as well.” Sakura explained.
“I don't understand...” Chibusa was even more bewildered.
“Kyosuke's going to take this race like an unexpected storm.” Sakura tried to be a bit deeper.
“And he's going to take it all out.”
The others smiled at this thought...
“I still don't get it.” Chibusa was even bewildered more...
“Kuh! Just watch and learn how Kyosuke races.” Sendoh said...

Kyosuke was pushing his car as he took the first right hander with ease.
“I'll win this for them.” Kyosuke said as he pushed his car even more...
“The next turn will be a wide left hander.” Kyosuke said to himself.
“After I exit this, I'll push the car all out!” Kyosuke said...
