the movie disc is 6.67gb in total. the 2nd disc has over 1 hour worth of bonus material footage. too much space to fill in. that's over 11gb worth of data in total. the most you can put in is 8.5gb in a dual layer dvd. you do the math.

Even though I didn't like the film a lot i'm an Initial D nut So I expect to be making my 500 piece jigsaw puzzle, while reading my Initial D encyclopedia and using the bookmarks well into the Xmas period |

I know I can't find the special edition DVD online at the moment, but I hope ebay will be stocking those soon enough. I haven't seen the movie myself, but I always wanted to. Quick question, does the movie play eurobeat music during racing scenes? Not that it matters, but I just wanna know. This post has been edited by Haku on Sep 7 2005, 12:47 PM |

NO it doesnt - it uses kinda rappish and funky beats instead but i have found and am currently downloading a torrent of the movie that is apparently a "Eurobeat version" ~ search 'eurobeat' @ www.torrentspy.com Initial D live action movie - eurobeat version only 32% complete at the moment .. unsure on the quality (also of the subbing) so ill post back when its complete you know what, let's sticky this thread! *Pinned* rawr!

Akagi's LanEvo Killer Group: Advanced Members Posts: 7,472 Member No.: 1,751 Joined: May 3rd 2004 Location: Sydney, Australia | You know, i dont know about any others but for me; my first viewing of the movie kinda soured it for me because i brought my own prejudices and limited my acceptance to the movie .. i.e. it not being authentic to the story and characters, the elimination of eurobeat music and j-pop, etc (plus the subs were horrendous too!) but after getting my original copy and finally getting to see it in its entirity, it really it a great movie sure its not for the hardcore initial d fan, but as a HK movie with entertainment value it's pretty damn good! im just curious as to how the sequel will be played out ~ it may even be Project D already, since Ryosuke asked Takumi to join his new racing team and Takumi accepted This post has been edited by Smiley_DC2 on Sep 8 2005, 02:57 PM |

how is that strange? he's really saying that in cantonese (literally, it's "yeah....and i want to hit airplanes" ("hitting airplanes" or 'daa fei gay" is a cantonese slang meaning "to masturbate"). disregard the mandarin dub translations. speaking of which, has anyone seen the drifting demo in shanghai? anyone notice the muffler fell off from the EVO3? lol!
