I'm a newbie in 6AA and playing the story mode. I am playing against the 5th opponent which was the red civic on Myori.

Any pointers on how to attach the level? Like what gear I should take the turns and when I should drift?

I almost beat the level but then got worse for some reason. I drove the Cappuccino currently in Stage 2 tuning. I try to take most of the turn keeping 4th gear.

The problem of watching youtube videos is that those cars are fully tune and their technique might not work for my car (their cars are usually 4th gear in the turn)? Is there any video with low tune cars or even story mode?

Maybe someone can mark the pointers on http://initiald.sega.com/images/common/howto08_myogi_map.jpg

Tuning really doesn't factor into this. Shingo is still very early in the story, and the game is still being really forgiving so that new players don't get left in the dust TOO badly while they adjust to the physics.

You are correct though. An FT car is on a different level compared to a stock-ish.

I would actually suggest trying to drift at a lower gear; say 3rd if you can manage to hold the line. Most of the new players I see often make the mistake of keeping their gears WAY too high for their current speed. That and just learning Myogi in general, if you're new to ID.

I'm probably the last person who should give advice on Myogi of all places; but you should probably take the corners at lower gear. 4th seem too high for most of it, at least with a non Full Spec car.

Your current tuning also affects the way your car handles if I am not mistaken. How many colors are there in your box? (too much red would make it too unstable) You may want to tune the car higher to a higher spec, that always helps.

Youtube videos are probably not going to help since those cars are full tuned; not to mention it takes a lot of practice to do a lot of the things pros can do (even if they look easy).

Myogi is close to impossible to drift in my book, so you probably do not have perform an actual "drift" (indicated by the DRIFT symbol becoming gold) and getting the speed boost.

What i personally did for Shingo was on the Hair pin like curves id Brake/Downshift at same time>Turn wheel>Tap gas>Straighten out car>Gas. There are some curves he takes really slowly so that is your chance to take the inside line and pass him up.

okok, i know i am too noobie to be dispensing advice too but juz wanna say some things.

For Myogi, (please refer to map if you are not sure) the initial consecutive hairpins,
these are pretty wide hairpins, try this method,

please do aim to begin turning a little earlier
1.) turn in
2.) brake (briefly)
3.) do not immediately step full on the accel step half maybe a little more
4.) down shift to 3 ( i asume u are probably at gear 4) and counter steer, if u dun you will slam, if u slam or rape wall please downshift further to 2
5.) let go of accel and step on accel full.

Less speed, u corner faster and exit with a boost drift, in my exp, u will be able to upshift to 4 once you exit.
repeat the drill for each corner there are 2 more.

for the consecutive 5 hairpins, i suggest u switch steps 3 and 5, full accel first then half accel.
cheers and good luck
btw where do you play?
