Easy to please. Since day one. Group: Advanced Members Posts: 948 Member No.: 31,385 Joined: Dec 19th 2008 Location: Ames, IA | I just learned a new term about thirty minutes ago. "'Choice Feminsm' maintains that whatever a woman chooses is inherently a feminist act. " What??? (I don't even get to choose if it's a feminist act, just because I was born with my balls on the inside.) So if I killed someone, say, for cutting me off while merging in traffic, it's a feminist act because I'm female and that action was inherently feminist and I'm in no way responsible for my actions at all. That makes NO SENSE to me. Oh wait. Women feminists are the new King Herod. I'd apologize for my 'sister's' actions, but there is nothing I can do to repair what they've done, nor guarantee that they won't repeat it, let alone force them show any remorse or even take responsibility. (The four r's of forgiveness, as I've learned to call them.) Here's the Time article where I found the term:American Girls: How Social Media Is Disrupting The Lives Of Teenagers When my friends and I used chats and forums back in junior high, it was nothing like what we see now or even 5-10 years ago. At least, I never ran into things like that. I'm pretty sure I was one of the only kids with a digital camera in my neighborhood, but it never occurred to me to take pictures, let alone nudes of my just post-pubescent body. If I scanned things, it was usually leaves, flowers, drawings. Never images of myself. I chose my friends wisely and I didn't grow up with, please excuse the term, 'frenemies'. We didn't compete with each other for boys or attention from our peers. I never kow towed to the 'popular' kids. We just left each other alone, mostly. I saw how they behaved towards each other and wanted no part of their weird games. Anyway. I've got some cleaning to do. This is all very upsetting. |

From what I remember, Feminism is about having Women being free and equal as men, NOT condemning men and belittling them. UGH~ I hate society for making this awful cycle

No. That's not so anymore. Not since pro-abortion groups jammed their agenda into feminist activism. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

I call that "Social Justice Warriors" or Progressive members but that's not absolutely true or I'd be one of those people that judge on group of people because of the radical members.

Just read any periodical publication for women. They have articles that promote promiscuity, irresponsible and risky behavior, grandiose fantasies of overly romantic men, how to dump your children into institutionalized day care and go to work without feeling guilty, etc. If anything, I'm the radical here. My ideas about what a family ought to be is what I yearned for as a child. Stability, family, a place to belong. I didn't have that. Instead, I got to see my father raise another broad's children. My mother shacked up with some dude for twelve years. I was yo-yo-ed between my parents because I wanted both, but they were never going to be together again. See? People don't care about kids and what they do to them. All that matters to stupid adults is their own happiness. It's becoming the same deal with this new era progressivism with the hypersensitive 'we need safe spaces' crowd. |

I concur. Rallikai, I think that's what my point was. I somehow got sidetracked and forgot about it. I get lost in my flairs of drama. This post has been edited by Cecilia on Feb 24 2016, 12:22 AM

To be honest, I have one of my friends that aren't like the radicals in that group. There IS a small minority that actually try to strive for equality and aren't psychopaths.

But of course! I thought we trusted each other's intelligence enough here that we don't have to say, "Well it isn't ALL XXXXX." Ya know? [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
