| hit a2 3 times already. i keep getting put into SS games, and i dont know how they keep pulling away when i'm going fast. im stumped at this point. and i put over 20 hours on this game and i still have the same set of avatar parts. its getting annoying. |

| I'm halfway up to B2 now. And I shaved a tiny bit off of my Akina time - current time is 3'12'3xx on the Dualshock 3. It'll take me a while, but I'm determined to get down to at least 3'08 (that's my goal for the moment). Got owned by som B3 guy with 100% win ratio on Myogi DH. |

| ok so i just wanna bumo this thread keep it going again. hhhmmmm. i broke into the '48 area for Iro on the DC2. and earned up to 360k+ from ranked. i lost 3 in a row towards the end of the night. and got really aggravated and became a sore loser so i DCed on the 3rd loss. T_T boo me. online record is 43 overaall races and the stats are 33-9-1 so yeah. eh my record feels dirty. T_T i regret that dc.  maybe today will be a better day. i'm looking to FT an S2K today btw.  one shot of lots should do it. |

| Thought I might put my first post in here, My day has been good so far except the weather. My Initial D game has not yet arrived but should be here by the weekend. Hoping to get a few good gaming hours in this weekend. Juggling up the decision to either buy a Driving Force Pro of a G25.. Bit of a price difference but leaning towards the G25 as I am a huge Gran Turismo fan and that wheel would be ace.  |

| ^^^+1 on the G25 + GT5P make sure you have a decent setup that can support the wheel when mounted...meaning don't expect to have fun using your lap to balance the wheel |

Of course, I remember having problems holding on to my cheapo PS1 wheel back when I was an addict at GT2 (Still best GT game by far!) Probably just screw a few bit and pieces together to make up some sort of rig. Got a couple of pre 80s lancer seats from an unfinished/unstarted project that I will probably use. Grrr wish the mail service would hurry up!  |

Played a bit of online, beat a bunch of Japanese players. There was this D3 in a yellow AE85 that relentlessly blocked me to get a win on Irohazaka, but nothing else too special. I don't understand why anybody would choose to race on Akina Lake since there's no skill required there. Some chick in a stock EK9 challenged me to the lake against my FT FD...  TB_Inuyasha_X raced me and beat me 4 times with his Evo IV. I really need to work on my Iro lines, especially at the jumps. EDIT: I pinned this thread since it's bound to be just as popular as the mirror thread in the Initial D Arcade Stage section. | ahhhhhhh, a s15 rammed me into the wall on akina dh!!!! he sucked too. probably was running at a 3'17 pace. i freaking came out of RHOD at 124 and still closed the gap near the end of cp4.... wasn't enough tho...... lost my winning streak!! was earning 15000 pts per win while i had my streak!!! |

I'm only good on Happo / Tsukuba. To you guys I'm not good on those tracks, but if I had to make a selection. I do my best on those and I'm still under training, of course. However, In order for me to get better.. I have to watch youtube videos / battle people / ta... and that's exactly what I'm doing. Plus, I've known AZN Boi Gir for awhile.. *points at FROZA 1 and yes I called it Froza... Froza sucks.. I'm glad i got this game.. lol* But, Um.. | i never said you weren't on those tracks. anyways, time attacking is probably your best bet. i've watched you play over your stream tv website. another thing, were not the best. there are far more people on this forum who are great. for instance, tomo is good at happo, jd is good at tsukuba, and others from tokui. the others who don't post probably are the same. |

| Yesterday I beat a S1 rank on my favourate course iro, and i am only C1 rank to!. I was going all out, man i was leading 50 meters from the start, I don't know if that guy was giving me a head start at the start! or was it just lag i don't know. At the 3rd check point where the jumps are at, he managed to be right behind my ass right after i did my jumps. After that I managed to block his ass the rest of the way, and won. After that I posted a best time of 2'51'647 with a FD better then my time attack record of 2'55'854. |

I go on all tracks. But I seem to suck on them all. I have to keep time attacking and making new cars for those specific tracks. My FT cars are Subaru [Bunta's][I forgot the model] Skyline R34 Evo 4 S2000 But yeah... I hate that too.. people only battle me when its there home track... well.. now that im ss.. i dont care about ranking anymore.. im going to do unranked and have some fun to be relax'd.. |

| I finally beat(ish) the game on expert with a FT FD. All i have to do is beat bunta but i'm so mentally exhausted from beating tomo, KT and Tak (Takumi) (Takumi) in the span of 3 hours (tomo took like 2 hours of tries) that i'm like SCREW BUNTA. I still have hw to do, i dont wanna blow up. Man, I think I'm ganna pass out or something. | Quite some time ago, I've lost my data which is due in part to a faulty PS3 and overheating. After that I got another PS3 (no I'm not rich, the 1st one was given to me for free), started a brand new save and FT'D the trueno (this was about a month ago which I stopped playing for a while). Today, I battled some people, won some / lost some. I did however bump into a fellow member, Tb_inuyasha_x in unranked mode, and we had a few good battles (he's so far the only psn friend I have) All in all, I think I've done alright getting back into the groove of things |

today i became rank c3  it took me a while because i was racing ss, s1, a2 people. that sucked. i did get lucky and find someone that was the same rank as me. i did manage to beat an ss rank today. i went to happo (on accident) and he disconnected  one thing that sucked was i was about to race a d3 then i got an error and got disconnected from the psn. it happened to me twice too  |

| I decided to make an FD the other day, since I'm finding Akagi quite fun lately. So far the car has been pretty easy to drive. The only thing I find annoying about it is its over rev warning beep. Anyway, I managed to hit 2'39 with it both ways. I'll try to finish FTing it tomorrow. |

| Had a good day. It was my first time playing online. Anyway, I got all the way to C2 in one session. Battled mostly newbs, but I did go up against a few SS ranks. I lost a battle against one on Akagi UH, won with a 3'06 against another on Akina DH D (beating my personal best) and beat another other on Akagi DH D (2'37). Earned around 250k points... Now I just need another 200k so I can FT my FC. Account name: "Light", driving a black FD. Did I vs any of you by chance? |

(Or at least he had the same avatar as the Happogahara IB DWR holder) The battle inspired me to finally put some real effort into learning Happo. I managed to lower my times a fair bit: Happo IB D: 2'47"2xx /w 7-7-7-6-6 DC2(46 spoiled by screwed up CP4) Happo OB D: 2'49"0xx /w FD -I never could play Outbound well, not even back in V3. Anyway, I should be trying happo again with my soon to be FT DC2. |

i stayed at my friends house for a few days and we hooked it up online there and updated the game etc that is how i have the new cars plus SS rank but no online at home, because my home internet is just the wireless usb one with a shitty 6gig download upload limit, you have to install software for it to work so it will not work with a ps3 |

| So today I did a bit more Akagi. Figured out how to run a better CP2, but because of the slightly faster speed I'm having trouble keeping my v-turn consistent. The brake point timing seems to have changed, and I'm still getting used to it, but I'm getting 123km/h exits now. I also blew a possible 32"7xx by crashing on the last turn and getting a 32"924. |

| My best so far is 123 clean on DH. I've been having a bit of trouble timing it though because of the tiny margin for error. Turn half a car length too late and you slam into the outside wall. Turn half a car length too early and you scrape the apex... I'm starting to get the hang of it though. Did a few runs earlier and managed to get the 123 several times. Also blew a -0"400 by crashing on the apex of the turn at the start of CP4. |

| Hmm... Did a few TAs on Akagi DH D. Only one run was of interest though: CP1: 46"319 First hairpin was slightly slower than usual. I figure it was 120.2. Usually it's 120.7. Managed a faster than usual exit on the 3rd butterfly turn though. CP2: 33"017 slow exit speed on the L-section kind of ruined this for me. CP3: 38"005 My fastest CP3 so far, due to a 122 v-turn + 125 non-stalled exit on the next hairpin. CP4: 35"219 I tightened up my line as much as I could on this run, but in the excitement I crashed on the last turn again. I figured I would get a 2"32"8xx or something, but to my pleasant surprise I got a bigger improvement than I expected.Total: 2'32"924 -> 2'32"560 |

| Well, the miata is currently at the top of the Jap ID4 rankings... FC's get a "course car boost" on Akagi DH. The top speed for its gears is 1km/h higher than other cars, and it doesn't lose as much speed as other cars when turning sharply. For this reason it pwns CP1 and CP2. It can take the butterfly turns a lot faster than other cars, and it carries this speed into CP2, where it's gears and turning advantage help it retain speed through the s-curves. It's main failing is its (subjective) crap handling. The car feels really stiff. It doesn't turn really well and tends to slide outwards after exiting a turn. The v-turn is a nightmare at high speeds in an FC (very tiny margin for error), and it's harder to take a good line in CP4. The main advantages of the Miata are its small size and its handling. In CP3 and 4 it can match exit speeds with the FC while still taking a tighter line. The small size lets it turn earlier without scraping the apex of the turns, and its handling lets it pull off tighter turns. It doesn't have the course car advantage though, so it gets pwned by the FC on CP1 and 2. |

OTher than watching videos, you can download ghost cars on the online ranking and try to learn their lines that they are using. |

| You can only download the first ten from the ranking list I believe. Or if you have friends that also play the game, you can exchange replay files through a USB and follow each other's lines to improve. |

Only choose one car to be in the TA team and you don't have to make a new profile with a team tag, I don't care about that. I paid that much as well. A local dealer was selling IDES for $100 CDN so I thought I got a pretty good deal. Man, I don't think I've ever paid over $80 for a game before. Though, since it's initial release, IDES has come down in price. |

| haha I made a new profile and checked out the AE86T/L and AE85...Damn AE85 is fast! hahaha I'm thinking what i should do with them. I think Imma do N/A with the Trueno, but not sure with the 2 levins. And i noticed that the AE86L, I can choose 2 different rollcages and the 3 engines..which was pretty sweet |
